Xanadu, quiet and comfortable. The service is thoughtful, the food is delicious and outrageous, the butler service is provided, and our butler is praised. When we see that the child does not get up for breakfast, we will take the initiative to prepare take-out. We will pick us up to Lion Rock at less than five o'clock in the morning. You need them to be there at any time. Like 👍

I used it on an anniversary trip. I was very impressed with the surprise celebration at the last night's dinner.
All the staff responded with a pleasant smile, and I was able to spend a very comfortable 3 day with a peaceful atmosphere of the hotel.
Of course, Ayurveda was also the best. The departure time was early on the last day, but he adjusted the time accordingly and was treated.
It was a hotel that I would like to stay longer.

Trip玩家Overall, a good experience, especially the unique hotel design and beautiful views. It's understandable that some facilities are a bit dated, and there were mosquitoes in the public areas due to the natural surroundings, but none in the room. It was a value-for-money stay, highly recommended.

Great place to stay if you want to explore the lions rock and the area around. Pidurangala rock is only 15min away by tuk tuk, the lions rock can be done by walk (~20min walk to entrance). But the best experience was the kindness of the hosts. The helped us in every way (explaining routes, advices on activities, organizing tuk tuk, etc.). The food was amazing and we had a lot of interesting conversations with the friendly stuff. Special thanks to Daushna, Larush & Nimal for making our stay remarkable.

Seerock The King’s Domain offers an impressive stay with super spacious rooms, a beautiful outdoor environment, and excellent service. The only downside—though not the hotel’s fault—is the occasional wild peacock screaming at night, which might disrupt light sleepers. Otherwise, a fantastic getaway for nature lovers.

MeyrickBSet in a lovely, peaceful location beside the Kandalama Reservoir, Amaya Lake Dambulla offers a relaxing retreat within a large property with plenty of mature trees, giving the resort a natural and spacious feel. The property features a good range of amenities, with the swimming pools being especially refreshing after a long day exploring the surrounding area. The buffet breakfast offered a comprehensive selection, catering to a variety of tastes. The chalets were clean and reasonably well maintained, and the staff throughout the resort were warm and friendly.

We stayed here two nights to enjoy the two main attractions of the area. The boys are very available and the manager is a nice young man who can do it! The location is very quiet even though not very far from the rooms. The hotel is very comfortable and it is very comfortable and it is very comfortable and it is very comfortable and it is very good.

Kalundewa Retreat has an amazing concept and a beautiful, secluded location that really stands out. The surroundings are peaceful and unique, making it a lovely place to disconnect. That said, there are visible signs of wear and tear in certain areas, and some aspects of property maintenance could be improved.
However, what truly made up for this was the hotel team — their service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food was excellent and clearly prepared with care, which added greatly to the overall experience. With better upkeep, this place has the potential to be exceptional.

RMHarwoodThe staff were superb! They couldn't do enough to make our stay a memorable one.
The room was clean with plenty of space. Air conditioned and comfortable beds.
Breakfast was really good: fruit, roti, coconut pancakes, eggs how you want them, fruit juice, other bits too. Our table was hardly big enough to hold it all.
An excellent location to visit Lion Rock and several restaurants and bars within walking distance serving local and western options.

suguru ishikawaThis hotel is located in the forest within walking distance of Sigiriya.
Since it’s in the forest, I expected there to be a lot of insects, but to my surprise, there were hardly any inside the room, and I was able to stay comfortably.
I had booked for two nights, planning to climb Sigiriya Rock in the morning and then relax by the pool in the afternoon.
However, it seems that the hotel has a policy of turning off the electricity in the rooms during the daytime.
Although I asked a staff member to turn the main power back on and they did, it was soon turned off again.
When the main power is off, the room becomes completely dark, and neither the Wi-Fi nor the air conditioner works.
It was clear that even if I asked them to turn it back on again, the same thing would just keep happening.
I felt it would only add to my stress, so I decided to move to another hotel.
