Amazing
MMINBooked the Danbulak Kandalam Heritage Hotel, but later said the hotel was full, let ’s change the hotel, changing the hotel we wanted before the trip was really uncomfortable at first, then Ctrip let us choose the hotel ourselves because of time I was nervous when I chose the water garden hotel, but I did n’t have much hope, but the staying experience was very good, the rooms are comfortable, the environment is quiet, you can overlook the Lion Rock. Returned the difference to me, very good hotel, added points for my trip to Sri Lanka, thanks
GGuest UserI was able to stay in the wilderness and the service was great, but the drainage of the shower in the villa I stayed in was completely useless and the water overflowed from the shower room. Fortunately, there was another bathroom, so I tried to use it, but I don't think it will improve unless I redo the left-handed construction on the floor of the shower room. And when I was taking a shower in the middle of the night, the water supply suddenly stopped coming out, so I spilled it with mineral water. If I hadn't improved by the morning, I was going to tell the front desk, and I was going to leave in the morning.
GGuest UserGreat place to stay if you want to explore the lions rock and the area around. Pidurangala rock is only 15min away by tuk tuk, the lions rock can be done by walk (~20min walk to entrance). But the best experience was the kindness of the hosts. The helped us in every way (explaining routes, advices on activities, organizing tuk tuk, etc.). The food was amazing and we had a lot of interesting conversations with the friendly stuff. Special thanks to Daushna, Larush & Nimal for making our stay remarkable.
GGuest UserWe actually ended up staying at a sister property. When we arrived to Organic Garden, it turned out that our room was accidentally cancelled. However, the manager was very kind and apologetic. He rectified the situation by getting us a room at a more expensive property, but did not charge us extra. He took full responsibility. Both properties were lovely, with kind and helpful staff.
GGuest UserKalundewa Retreat has an amazing concept and a beautiful, secluded location that really stands out. The surroundings are peaceful and unique, making it a lovely place to disconnect. That said, there are visible signs of wear and tear in certain areas, and some aspects of property maintenance could be improved.
However, what truly made up for this was the hotel team — their service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food was excellent and clearly prepared with care, which added greatly to the overall experience. With better upkeep, this place has the potential to be exceptional.
WWENDAAfter the Lion Rock came out, the hotel was quite remote. I felt that I had walked through a hotel in the wilderness. I didn’t dare to leave the hotel door at night. The room was large and quiet. The place to eat was at the pool, breakfast and dinner were at The hotel solved it, there were not many varieties, and there was no problem in eating. When I left, I found a piece of clothing falling in the hotel and called to contact me. I said that I would go to Colombo three days later and let the hotel express to the Colombo Hotel. I promised very well. During the period, I repeatedly asked if I had no problem, but I still didn’t receive it in the hotel three days later. I called and said that I hadn’t sent it yet, so that I finally didn’t receive the clothes when I left Sri Lanka. It’s also a pity~
RRMHarwoodThe staff were superb! They couldn't do enough to make our stay a memorable one.
The room was clean with plenty of space. Air conditioned and comfortable beds.
Breakfast was really good: fruit, roti, coconut pancakes, eggs how you want them, fruit juice, other bits too. Our table was hardly big enough to hold it all.
An excellent location to visit Lion Rock and several restaurants and bars within walking distance serving local and western options.
