"Great hospitality and service throughout my stay in Penang Amari Spice Hotel. Upon arrival, the reception team kindly upgraded me to a Premier King room without any request, which was a wonderful surprise. The room was spacious, clean, well-maintained, and had a pleasant scent—everything was excellent. I would like to express my utmost appreciation to the midnight team on 21/03/2026. During our stay, my friend suddenly fell seriously ill during midnight . We attempted to call emergency services (999), but unfortunately were unable to get through to the nearby general hospital immediately. The situation was critical, and waiting another 10–20 minutes could have put my friend’s life at risk. Thankfully, the Penang Amari hotel team acted swiftly and professionally. They followed up with us, and the female manager along with the guy management team arrived promptly to assess the situation. They provided immediate support and helped arrange transportation to the nearest hospital, ensuring we arrived within 10 minutes. Thanks to their quick response and care, my friend’s life was saved. And even after check out they still texting us to concern on the guest safety. We are deeply grateful for their kindness, efficiency, and dedication during such a critical moment. "I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel and was especially impressed by how clean and well-maintained everything was. From the moment I arrived, the lobby looked spotless and welcoming, which gave a great first impression. The room itself was extremely clean, with fresh linens, neatly arranged furniture, and no signs of dust or dirt. The bathroom was also well taken care of, with all amenities properly stocked and sanitized. Housekeeping clearly does an excellent job, as the cleanliness was consistent throughout my stay. The environment felt comfortable and relaxing, making it easy to unwind after a long day. I also appreciated the attention to detail, as even small areas like hallways and common spaces were kept in great condition. Overall, I had a very positive experience. The high standard of cleanliness made my stay much more enjoyable, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and hygienic place to stay."

"Hotel facilities: the best ever in Penang !! Got Kidz game room, our own private pool, gym, karaoke & etc. The breakfast's choice also quite a lot n tasty. Check in: Got really long queue during weekend, but the staff at counter handled it well. Staff: Very polite and helpful. Plus the staff at check in counter very thoughtful and give us free upgrade!! so, we got ourselves a whole sea view. So pretty!! Thank you Lexis!! Location: Very exclusive. However, during peak hour, it kindly hard to exit from the hotel. Should have guard taking care the traffic. Room: cleanliness 8/10, the bed very clean. it just the private pool area a bit dirty but understandable."

"Don't book the 'Executive Suite' unless you're a large group. The Executive Suite has two rooms and can accommodate up to four people, but it's located in a separate, very old building. The bedding had a really strong, unpleasant odor – like curry and body odor. It was so bad, I couldn't sleep at all; it felt like crawling into someone else's dirty sheets. After insisting, the hotel moved me to a new room in the recently renovated building. The front desk staff's service was decent throughout this. Finally, in the new room, I could sleep peacefully. Location: It's relatively remote, about a 20-30 minute taxi ride from Georgetown and the city center. The closest shopping area is Queensbay Mall, about 1.6 km away, which has plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options, so that's a plus. If you have an early flight the next day, it's a good transit stop."

"The room was pretty good, but it was a shame there was only one pair of pillows and they were too soft. I forgot to take photos, but the overall experience was still quite good. The location is also convenient for getting around, though parking spaces are a bit limited."

"I recently stayed at Eastin Hotel Penang, and unfortunately, the experience did not fully meet my expectations. The room felt quite outdated and was too cramped for two adults and one toddler. There was very limited space to move around comfortably, especially with luggage and a child. It did not feel suitable for a small family stay. The toilet appeared poorly maintained, with visible mold on the walls, making it look dirty and unpleasant. The wardrobe design was also unsettling it was an open wardrobe without doors located right next to the bed. When the lights were off and clothes were hanging inside, it felt quite eerie. Drinking water was limited to six small bottles per day, and toiletries were provided in minimal quantities. The pillows seemed old and flat, and were not comfortable to sleep on. Unlike other hotels that provide soft, fluffy pillows, these felt worn out and affected the quality of sleep. Breakfast service was another disappointment. Some staff at the egg station had difficulty understanding simple English instructions. When I asked for sunny side up eggs, I was served an omelette instead. When I requested a well-done, fully cooked egg for my child, the staff again seemed unable to understand, which was frustrating. On a positive note, the hotel’s location is convenient. It is only about a 3–4 minute walk to Queensbay Mall, making shopping and dining very accessible. It is also approximately 10–15 minutes’ drive to Penang International Airport and close to the Penang Bridge, which is convenient for travelers. Overall, the stay was disappointing in terms of room condition, comfort, and service quality. I hope the hotel can improve its maintenance standards and staff training to provide a better experience for future guests."
