"The location is convenient, and the price was very reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. I paid less for three nights here than I would have at many other properties. However, parking is a major issue. The property appears to have more than 50 apartments but only around 20 parking spaces. Finding a parking spot is a matter of luck, and even when a space is available, the parking bays are very small and difficult to maneuver into. I stayed for four days, but housekeeping did not come to service the room or replace the towels during my stay. Another downside was the air conditioner, which kept turning off every couple of hours, seemingly due to a timer setting. This was quite inconvenient, especially at night. Overall, this is a budget-friendly option with a good location, but the parking, housekeeping, and air-conditioning issues affected my experience."

"In a prime location close to transport and free red cat bus. Many cafes and restaurants to choose from. Walking around the garden is beautiful. Iga is gourmet . Room is clean spacious has all the amenities needed including coffee machine in your room. Bed is so comfy. The staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was was nice and quiet too"

"I booked a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment for four nights in mid-June. It was spacious enough for a couple with two teenage boys. The kitchenware was very clean, and toiletries were plentiful, though slippers were not provided, so remember to bring your own. The front desk staff were on duty 24/7, very friendly, and patiently provided information. The location is super convenient. There's a bus stop right downstairs. Cross the road to catch buses to Kings Park, the Hay Street shopping area, and the museum. There are many buses, and these areas are within the free bus zone, so you don't even need to tap your card to board. About 100 meters down the road, there's a 24-hour supermarket, and a bit further, an IGA supermarket that's open until 9 PM, with a wide variety of goods. Langley Park is just a 10-minute walk away. Highly recommended."

"This is not a normal hotel - it is a beautifully designed boutique hotel, combining different eras of culture, nature and modern amenities. The owner has a natural talent for identifying what people value in accommodation, and has turned these traditional buildings into a special and comfortable place to stay. The rooms have a 1940s base architecture, but with modern bathrooms, kitchens, lighting etc, and classic furniture such as leather seats. Downstairs there is a great restaurant (open breakfast, lunch and dinner) which serves quality meals with local ingredients - people from the neighborhood come just to use the restaurant. There is also an inbuilt bookshop full to the brim with unique, high quality and beautiful versions of books - many are sealed so can't be read, but looking at them all is quite fun. Buildings and gardens have been merged, allowing space for the trees to grow through balconies, adding to the authentic character. Location is near the bottom of a hill - at the top is Kings park, and at the bottom is a pedestrian bridge to the edge of the CBD, so it may take 5 minutes more to reach some city venues, but well worth it for the quality experience."

"Oaks Perth Hotel – Pros & Cons Pros - Excellent CBD location, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, Perth Train Station, Elizabeth Quay, and the free CAT buses. - Spacious rooms with a kitchenette. - Comfortable beds, clean rooms, and friendly staff. - Good value for money. - Our Deluxe Studio was quiet as it did not face the main street. - Special thanks to Shani, who was warm and welcoming, and provided us with lots of helpful information that made us feel comfortable throughout our 9 days 8 nights stay. Cons - Bathroom is dated, with no handheld shower and some mold in the bathtub corner. - No on-site parking, but the hotel offers an unlimited-entry nearby parking (just opposite the hotel- raine sq car park) pass for AUD30/day. Overall A great value hotel for exploring Perth. For a quieter stay, choose a Deluxe Studio or a room away from Murray Street."

"I visited by rental car. The location was very easy to find using Google Maps. The reception entrance is by the rotary, but you can't park in the rotary itself. So, I had to temporarily park in an empty spot along the road that runs parallel to the Kune river, opposite the reception from the rotary. Luckily, there was an available parking space, but the road is narrow, so it might have been tricky if there hadn't been any. The reception is open 24 hours, which is very convenient, but sometimes the staff steps away, which can be a bit of a scare. All the staff members were kind and very helpful. After checking in, we were assigned a specific parking spot with a designated number. There's an elevator from the parking lot to each room, which is extremely convenient. However, the parking spaces aren't very wide; our car was a Nissan X-Trail, and it was quite difficult to get in and out due to the narrow gap between our car and the next one. The room was as spacious and comfortable as I expected. There were two showers, both easy to use. A washing machine and dryer were installed, which I found convenient for long stays. The kitchen had everything we needed and was very user-friendly. We could buy groceries at the supermarket and cook or heat them in the microwave, which saved money on meals. There's only one air conditioner in the living room, so its effectiveness in mid-summer is unknown, but we didn't experience any inconvenience in late March. A fan was also provided in the bedroom, but we didn't use it. Coffee and tea were available, and we could make hot water with the provided kettle. My son bought cup noodles at the supermarket and was happy to eat them there. The view from the room wasn't particularly great, but there was a table and chairs on the balcony. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from Elizabeth Quay and Perth Port. It was a convenient location for catching the ferry to Rottnest Island. Elizabeth Quay station and the bus terminal are also about a 10-minute walk away. There's a bus stop on the street in front of the hotel, but we didn't use it as the routes were unclear. However, if you go to the bus terminal, the Blue CAT stops there, which is useful for heading towards Perth station. Jacobs Ladder is about a 5-minute walk, and climbing the stairs takes you into Kings Park. From the observation deck at the top of the stairs, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Swan River and Perth's high-rise district. In this respect, I felt the location was excellent. There's also a cafe nearby that's perfect for breakfast."

"Please avoid at all cost. Hidden charges, broken lift, and you be told to read the fine print if you question them about hidden charges."

"Clean and comfortable stay. Walkable to many shops and food outlets. The only gripe is that the paid parking is one street away. The room is neat and clean. The dryer and washer are clean and well-maintained - surprised that the lint filter is clean and empty, unlike some accommodation that don't bother to empty it. Spare pillows provided in the cupboards if you need additional ones. Would be good if a trash bin can be provided at the living area, and a drying rack for wet dishes. Pleasant and helpful staff. Note that the front desk is open till 11pm only. For late arrivals, do inform them. We reached at about 8pm and none of the street parking outside the apartments was not available so it was cumbersome to move all our luggages along with our kids. The entrance is not barrier-free (3 small steps into the main door) so travellers with heavy luggages might require some help. The building is secure with a tap access lock into the main door."

"I really enjoyed my stay at this apartment. I arrived in Perth beyond the normal check in time, but getting the key at night was easy as i have informed my late check in, in advance. The next day must go to the convenience store to make the deposit and get the parking permit and pay for parking. lron, washer dryer provided. Cleaning only once a week but can get top up for tea, coffee and toilet paper at the convenience store. Highly recommended place to stay and value for money. However, the one single bed in apartment 21 was not that comfy. Other than that, the stay was great."
