"We were first given a room that looked good until we experienced using the bathroom. It was poorly designed. The shower stall was small such that we could not swing the shower door inwards to let us n or out and so have to enter or exit the shower door outwards. However, when opening the shower door outwards the door would scrape the floor and therefore interfere with the bath mat. The medicine cabinet/mirror hangs over the bathroom sink and there obstructs face washing and shaving. We asked for a change of room the next morning and receptionist who was familiar with the particular room willingly obliged. The new room had a different layout and was completely satisfactory. We stayed 5 nights at the hotel and was very satisfied with its amenities, cleanliness and location. I would highly recommend this hotel."

"Room Size: I was given a room on the first floor, and I was initially worried about poor soundproofing or bugs, but luckily, there were none! I slept really well every night, and it was very quiet outside. The room was spacious, with a living room, an outdoor balcony, a kitchen, a dining table, and a study. It offered excellent value for money and is perfect for tourists staying for over ten days. Location: The hotel is very close to Zetland shopping center, just a two to three-minute walk away. East Village has both Coles and an Asian supermarket. It's a bit further to Green Square train station, about a ten to fifteen-minute walk. If you want to take the bus, it's convenient too, with routes 304 (goes to the City) and 392 (goes to UNSW) nearby. The kitchen was well-equipped with basic cooking utensils, an oven, microwave, dishwasher, and a capsule coffee machine. The only inconvenience was the lack of chopsticks, so I brought some leftover cutlery from my takeout orders. Cleanliness: Regarding cleaning, I had read other reviews before booking, so I was prepared for no daily housekeeping. After checking in, someone did room service about every three days, and the cleaning was quite good (they even thoughtfully left an extra plastic bag for the trash can). They also provided extra bottles of dish soap. I found the trash room on my floor, so whenever I cooked and didn't want the trash sitting in my room overnight, I'd just take it out myself, which was very convenient. Excellent because it is a genuine, informative review. Thumbs up!"

"Pros- room was clean as it should be. And hotel is close enough to the city. Room had a power socket next to the bed which was good, as some hotels dont. Cons- Booked here as it was close to city and it said 'parking available' but only after booking I saw in the fine print that they will charge $50 for 1 night of parking and i couldnt cancel as i would have been charged. Their wifi was not working so I called them and they said something like they can look into it tomorrow which was no use for me as I was there 1 night. 1 of the power sockets next to the bed was not working. They take a $200 deposit/bond on top of the booking cost which they give back in a week, but if things like their wifi or power socket doesnt work, shouldnt they be giving you a partial refund of the booking as the room is not 100%??"

The fantastic live band provided great entertainment, the photo booth was a hit with everyone, and the emcee kept the event lively, engaging, and fun throughout the evening. We also stayed overnight, which allowed us to fully enjoy the celebration without worrying about heading home early. The accommodation was comfortable and convenient, giving us the opportunity to relax and continue celebrating with friends and colleagues well into the night. Thank you for helping make this memorable milestone so special. Our colleague had a wonderful send-off, and all the guests had an enjoyable time. We would happily recommend this venue for private functions, retirement parties, overnight stays, and other special celebrations."

"We stayed in Room 323, just next to gym and pool room. Was worried with noise as We stayed from Wednesday night till Sunday morning check out. My worries were unfounded. Had a pleasant 4 night stay. Living room was spacious and equipped with a clean kitchen and dining table. Washing machine and dryer are separate and hidden behind door. Useful! Bedroom has a king bed, spacious and comfortable. Aircon control in bedroom is separate. Best location of hotel as surrounded with lots of eateries. We highly recommend Malaysian restaurant selling delicious chicken rice and sambal kangkong! Another shop is Into Laksa. Delicious and reasonably priced. Woolsworth supermarket is just a short walk away!! Meriton Mascot is considered an airport hotel as it’s near airport and just 2 stops to city, circular quay stop. I used the super bus shuttle via klook. Convenient hotel drop off and pick up. Only passengers. No need worry uber driver complained too many luggage. Meriton is kind to load long umbrellas on raining days. Just remember to return after each day use and borrow again the following day. Otherwise you may be charged AUD50 for not returning. They do ask your room number."

"Taking a ride-sharing service from the airport to the hotel cost AU$30, which was very convenient, and the journey took about 35 minutes. The hotel is located right off the main street, so it's very quiet at night. There's a police station just one street over, which made me feel safe. Room service only replaced some towels, yellow coffee capsules, and other amenities; there was no actual cleaning. Toothpaste, toothbrushes, and slippers are not provided in the room, so please bring your own."

It's a reasonable distance to the city center, and there's plenty of public transport nearby. However, the hotel's airport shuttle bus only starts at 4:55 AM, so if you have an early flight, you'll need to take an Uber or taxi."
