"I made a same-day reservation and arrived, only to be told the deposit was $1,300 instead of the original $100. It’s not that I don’t have the money; I had been traveling for three months, so my credit limit for that day didn’t reach that amount. Since the room accommodation was prepaid in full, I asked to check in with just the normal deposit, but they refused to the very end. I acknowledge that this is hotel policy, but I felt like it could have been resolved if a manager-level official had approved it, yet they insisted it wasn't possible. What’s even funnier is that when I asked if they could refund me if the deposit didn't amount to that, they said that wasn't possible either. I’ve traveled to 65 countries over four years and used to be a Hyatt Globalist, but this is the first time something like this has happened, and I’m just laughing because it’s so absurd. I had a similar experience at the BVLAGAR Hotel in Tokyo a while ago; back then, check-in was naturally allowed (since I had paid in full), but they let me in on the condition that I refrain from using the Mino Bar. Here, however, they refused to budge. They claim there are cases where same-day reservation guests vandalize property. I really don't understand how that has to do with a same-day reservation at all. I was disappointed that there was so much ****** in such a beautiful country like Australia, and the hotel was disappointing as well. Of course, I doubt Australians care anyway. Considering that the essence of the hotel business is hospitality, the overall attitude is terrible. There is no superficial ******, but their eyes speak for themselves. This is the first time I've left a review after traveling abroad for four years. The location is good, though."

"I really like Capella. The service is excellent, and the rooms are cleaned and turndown service is provided punctually. I even encountered a front desk staff member who spoke Chinese. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but it's sufficient. The twin room felt like one large and one small bed, which was perfectly fine. The location is convenient for getting anywhere, and food delivery is also available."

"We recently stayed at Novotel Sydney Cabramatta, which is conveniently connected to Cabravale Club. The check-in staff were friendly and welcoming. My daughters loved the room, and the location was perfect for exploring Cabramatta. We especially enjoyed the live entertainment on Saturday night, with Vietnamese singers performing to celebrate ***** New Year. The lion dance performance, including the horse and God of Wealth, was fantastic and festive. It was also a lovely experience meeting the Cabravale Club Vice President and his wife and taking photos with them during the Vietnamese New Year festival organised by the club. However, there should also be enough red envelopes prepared for guests during special celebrations, as my daughters felt disappointed when they missed out and the staff explained because of too many people. The Lotus Bar staff asked us not to sit at the bar, which made us feel uncomfortable. The TV and remote control were not working during our stay, which was inconvenient, especially with children in the room. Free parking was available, but it was confusing because the hotel and the club have separate parking areas without clear signs. Also, there were four of us staying in the room, but only two towels and three key cards were provided. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and look forward to booking again next week to continue celebrating Vietnamese New Year in Cabramatta."

"The room was clean and the kitchen was well-equipped with salt, dish soap, and laundry detergent. Upon checking in, I noticed a damaged frying pan and was able to exchange it. There's also a washing machine in the room. The location is very convenient, with Chemist Warehouse, Coles, and Woolworths all nearby. There are also many dining options, making shopping and eating very easy. On Saturday nights, Chatswood also has a night market, which has a great atmosphere and unique charm."

"I want to specially thank the two lovely ladies in my photo, Caroline and Linh. Whenever I encountered a problem and brought it to their attention, they were both incredibly enthusiastic and helpful in resolving it. A special shout-out goes to Linh, the manager on duty that day. In my eyes, she's an angel with a beautiful heart. When I told her about the issue I was facing, she promptly and exceptionally resolved it. I feel very fortunate to have met her on my last day staying at the Shangri-La. I had booked a total of three nights, and the first two nights were not pleasant. When I reported issues to the manager on duty at the time (a Korean lady, whose name I've forgotten and don't wish to remember, she was incredibly arrogant and unreasonable, I truly don't understand how she holds a managerial position), I received no respect whatsoever. Instead, she used her position to intimidate me. When she said she couldn't resolve it, I asked if I could speak to her manager. She arrogantly said she *was* the manager, implying that speaking to anyone else wouldn't help and she wouldn't change my room. I told her fine, and the next morning I went to the front desk to find another manager to request a refund for the third night's room charge, as the current room was not what I wanted. Originally, encountering this problem left me with some regret, but thanks to Manager Linh's thoughtful and efficient help in resolving it properly, she not only dispelled my troubles but also transformed this experience from regrettable into a perfectly wonderful memory! Her professional and warm service made me feel so comforted and cared for. Thank you for your dedication, I will definitely come again next time~💛"

"The hotel generally meets five-star standards, but it's positioned as a more accessible five-star option. The decor is quite traditional, not a modern, brand-new design. The rooms are well-maintained, and if you're lucky enough to get a high-floor room, the view is fantastic. You get a direct view of the harbor and the sea, which is beautiful both day and night. The rooftop pool and gym are definitely worth checking out; the views are superb and were a pleasant surprise during my stay. It's a bit of a walk to the subway station, a few minutes on foot, but it's generally acceptable. Overall, it offers good value for money, making it suitable for travelers who want a five-star experience but are also budget-conscious."

"There was a slight hiccup during check-in, but thankfully, Trip.com staff were incredibly proactive in communicating and resolving the issue, allowing me to smoothly check into a sea-view room that evening. The hotel service was exceptionally warm, even upgrading my room to a 270-degree panoramic view room. The expansive views made for an excellent experience. The only minor downside was that the hotel pool wasn't open yet, but you could get tickets for the beachfront pool at the front desk, which was just a 10-minute walk away."

"The hotel is located in Penrith 🏨, near a large shopping mall with plenty of shops and restaurants, which can meet daily needs. There are also entertainment facilities nearby, including water golf and other recreational options. Accommodation includes free parking 🚘, making it suitable for families. The staff's attitude was excellent, making us feel right at home ❤️."

"I booked the cheapest twin room on the 26th floor, offering a direct view of the Bell Tower from above. The room was incredibly spacious, probably over 50 square meters, and even had a bathtub. While the furniture was quite basic, the front desk service was absolutely excellent. I also visited the gym. The building itself is a former Sydney Post Office, so many people come to take photos. There are even two free daily tours about the building, but I didn't have time to join. Overall, staying here was a great experience. It definitely gave off a 'old money' vibe."
