"On the first day of my stay, an Indian guy was at the front desk. I arrived at 1 PM and was told check-in was at 3 PM, which is a standard policy and fine. However, for some reason, they assigned me room 417, a City View Opera House room. As soon as I heard the number, I had a bad feeling, and when I entered the room, I almost cried. The view was completely blocked, and next door was a fire equipment room. I tried to communicate with Ctrip to change rooms, but after an hour and a half, there was no progress. I went to the lobby myself to sort it out and luckily found Marco, a Chinese customer service manager. Thank goodness! Not only was communication seamless, but he also patiently helped me secure a higher-floor city view room for the next day. Even though it cost a little extra, I gladly accepted. This was my second time staying at the Shangri-La Sydney. My first stay was perfect, so I didn't expect to encounter so many unexpected issues this time. Thankfully, Marco resolved everything. After the first day, I thought I'd never stay at the Shangri-La again, but Marco's help truly compensated for the disappointment. Plus, I ordered room service four or five times, and the food was delicious! 👍 I specifically wrote this lengthy review for future Chinese guests staying at the Shangri-La; their entire Chinese team at the hotel is superb, so feel free to communicate with them!"

"This time, I booked the apartment with a meeting room for a company meeting that coincided with my birthday. The kitchen is quite spacious, large enough to accommodate 20 people for a birthday celebration, which was great. There's also a balcony with fantastic views."

"Overall, my stay was quite satisfactory, and I especially want to take this opportunity to thank Clarie, the staff member who cleaned my room during the first few days. Her performance was incredibly diligent and outstanding. However, the subsequent housekeeping service left much to be desired, with a noticeable inconsistency: * **Negligent cleaning:** In the later days, the room wasn't tidied at all, and for two days, even the trash wasn't emptied. * **Careless bed making:** During one cleaning, the duvet insert wasn't removed; instead, the duvet cover was just wrapped around it along with other items, which was quite unprofessional. * **Missing amenities:** In the final few days, the cleaning staff also failed to replenish the tea bags in the room. I hope the hotel management will recognize Clarie for her excellent service and, at the same time, enhance the training and supervision for other cleaning staff to ensure a consistent service standard throughout the entire stay."

The entire environment was very well-maintained, making for a particularly reassuring and comfortable stay. Excellent service: All the hotel staff were very polite, friendly, and professional, making me feel right at home. Thoughtful snacks: The hotel provides complimentary coffee and cookies, and the cookies were incredibly delicious! Enjoying snacks in the common area became a real treat. Overall, it offers extremely high value for money, and the price is also reasonable. The location is great too! I sincerely recommend everyone to stay here. The room design is stylish and modern, clean and tidy, and the bedding is comfortable, allowing me to rest very well during my stay. The hotel's public facilities are very well-maintained. Whether it's the pool, gym, or public areas, everything feels high-quality.
