"We stayed at Yulinlin for our final few nights in Kunming and overall had a pleasant experience. The reception team was exceptionally helpful and responsive throughout our stay. Our driver had difficulty locating the entrance upon arrival, and the staff kindly came down to receive us and assist with our luggage. They also went the extra mile by helping us collect our Taobao parcels from nearby lockers when the delivery was not sent directly to the hotel. The location is one of the biggest highlights. It is located right beside Novotel, and we often used the Novotel lobby as our taxi pick-up point. There is a 7-Eleven downstairs, a large shopping mall just across the road, and plenty of food options within walking distance. The MRT station is literally at the doorstep and connects conveniently to the mall, which made getting around especially easy with young children. That said, housekeeping could be improved. Our Level 6 unit was not as clean as we had expected. The floor felt dusty upon arrival, and when we wiped it down ourselves, the cloth came back completely black. We also had to request that staff and cleaners remove their shoes before entering the apartment, which may simply be a difference in local practices and expectations. Despite these minor issues, the excellent location and responsive service made for a comfortable stay, especially for families looking for convenience and easy access to transport, shopping, and dining options."

"This hotel stay far exceeded my expectations! The room was incredibly spacious and airy, with a clean and tidy bathroom featuring a separate wet and dry area. The hairdryer and toiletries were all well-stocked, showing great attention to detail. The overall decor was simple yet cozy; the small table in the sofa area, the swing chair by the window, and the soft, large bed all exuded a relaxing and comfortable vibe. The sunlight filtering through the sheer curtains created a wonderful atmosphere. The TV had excellent picture quality, making it super enjoyable to binge-watch shows from bed. The front desk service was thoughtful and attentive, making both check-in and check-out smooth and hassle-free. Everything was perfect! The room's soundproofing was also great, ensuring a very peaceful night's sleep. It definitely offers good value for money, and I wouldn't hesitate to choose this place again on my next visit!"

"I have to say, choosing Novotel Living over a hotel for our family trip was an incredibly smart decision. Here's my review: **Service:** This deserves a commendation first and foremost. The staff were available 24/7, ready to assist with anything we needed. When we first checked in, a bathroom exhaust fan wasn't working. After informing the front desk, it was fixed by the time we returned from dinner. The apartment has an induction cooker for heating food, and when we requested pots, bowls, and cutlery from the front desk, they were delivered immediately. The service was absolutely fantastic! **Facilities:** The apartment's facilities are brand new. The refrigerator, washing machine, and range hood are all Haier brand appliances, and all the bathroom fixtures are German Villeroy & Boch. The decor, construction materials, and furniture selection were also very thoughtful. Whether it was the sofa, chairs, or bed, everything was super comfortable! **Cleanliness:** Housekeeping cleaned promptly and thoroughly every day. Towels, laundry detergent, toiletries, and drinking water were replenished regularly, and if we needed more, they delivered it right away! **Location:** The hotel apartment is right outside Exit A of Fuhai Station on Metro Line 5. It's incredibly convenient, yet without the noise and traffic congestion of tourist areas. An excellent choice of location! What's more, we initially booked a standard family room, but they spontaneously upgraded us to a free loft apartment! It had independent bedrooms on two levels and two bathrooms, which my family absolutely loved. Thank you for this wonderful surprise! I genuinely highly recommend this to families traveling with children; it's absolutely kid-friendly. A big thumbs up! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻"

"The room decor is well-designed, the service is thoughtful and responsive, and the price is incredibly competitive. Its central location makes it convenient to get anywhere. There's a shopping mall and a Hema Fresh supermarket right across the street, making dining and shopping incredibly easy. It's comfortable for both business trips and leisure travel, and especially suitable for long stays. I absolutely love it and highly recommend it!"

"The room was really great. I stayed during the May Day holiday, and it looked pretty much exactly like the pictures, very clean. Even though it had just been cleaned when I arrived, there was no strange smell, just a faint floral scent. The room was spacious, with plenty of room to move around, and it even had a washing machine. The front desk staff was fantastic, always very welcoming and helpful. I would definitely stay here again; it was a good experience. The only minor downside was that my particular room didn't have air conditioning, but there was a fan, so it was still fine."

"The room was spotless and incredibly tidy! The butler service was also very thoughtful. There's a supermarket nearby, which was really convenient for grabbing food and other essentials. It's also close to the station, just a few minutes' walk away!"

"This is the most comfortable hotel I have ever stayed in in Yunnan. The room is large and well-soundproofed. The overall environment is very good. After visiting the scenic spots, you can have tea and chat with friends. The room is also equipped with books. It is really suitable for me who likes to read! The room also has smart voice, which can control curtains, lights, TV, etc. The service attitude of the landlady is very good, thumbs up to her. It felt like home when I lived there. I bought flowers directly from Dounan and went to sleep smelling the flowers. It was so comfortable! There are also a lot of food downstairs, which tastes like grandma's. Yikou Zhaizi is very delicious, and it is very convenient to find food! Highly recommended!"

"Excellent location, a short stroll to Tangzixiang metro station (including small local restaurants and convencience stores) and about 500m to Dongfeng Square and Jinbi Street tourist area. The owner/manager was friendly and helpful. Overall, good value for money, even considering the negative points below. Washing machine was a blessing, buy the spin cycle was not very strong. The loft bed was on a hard wooden platform with a thin mattress. I had a very uncomfortable sleep the first night, then discovered that the downstairs couch folded out into a sofa bed where I spent the next 4 nights. This was much more comfortable, but the side of the bed was not braced so that when I put my weight on the edge to get up, the whole thing tilted down to the floor, tumbling me out. Cleanliness was so-so - benchtops etc were clean but there was quite heavy dust on, for instance, the loft bulkhead ledges (which I cleaned to hang my smalls on to dry) and the window frames. Corners in the bathroom and shower also left something to be desired. The whole apartment could do with a very thorough deep clean. Cupboards, kitchen joinery, wardrobes etc were showing their age. A number of the walls and skirting boards had been painted with undercoat, so perhaps the owners are in the process of renovating. If so, it would be much nicer. Overall, for a single man staying over Chinese New Year, it was acceptable - especially for the price. But I wouldn't take my wife there if we came back to Kunming."

"I really loved the spacious room. The rooftop view was fantastic, and it's super close to Kunming Station, just a 10-minute walk. There are also plenty of great food options nearby. I originally wanted to stay here on my way out, but my plans changed. I specifically chose it for my return trip, and if I'd had more time, I would have loved to stay a few extra days. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Kunming."
