"We arrived at the apartment quite late, around 1am, feeling exhausted. Unfortunately, we were greeted by a staff member with a rather rude attitude, which left us with a poor first impression. The apartment is spacious and can comfortably accommodate five of us. However, it is visibly aged, with noticeable wear and tear in several areas. The sea view from the window is pleasant, although it is not a full 180-degree view as it is partially blocked by another tower. Cutlery was not provided in the unit and had to be requested from the front desk, which was a bit inconvenient. Nevertheless, the service is generally good. A robot delivers meal orders directly to the unit, and parcels can also be received at the lobby, although guests need to collect them personally. On two occasions when I had to leave early and was unable to attend breakfast, I requested a takeaway option, and they kindly prepared boiled eggs and fruits, which was much appreciated. The location is strategic and within walking distance to May Fourth Station, MIXC Mall, and May Fourth Square. Overall, it was a good stay despite a few shortcomings."

"Hygiene: The hygiene was good. Environment: It's surrounded by a commercial area, making dining and shopping very convenient. The nearest subway station is a 10-minute walk away. From the high floor, you get a city night view. There's been a bit of air pollution these past couple of days, so the visibility wasn't great, but it still looked pretty nice."

"The front desk staff, especially a young man, was very helpful and even upgraded me to a room with a washing machine. Facilities: The apartment is great, the room is spacious and well-equipped. Environment: The Line 3 subway is right downstairs, which is very convenient. The only minor downsides are the public hygiene outside the building and the slightly less convenient access routes, but everything else is good. Cleanliness: Overall good, but the bathroom drain was a bit slow to empty. I've already reported this to the front desk and hope it will be improved. Service: Excellent."

"**Location & Value** Good location and size for the price point. The building is actually a residential condo with local residents, which gives it an authentic feel. Connected to the mall at level 6, so convenient access to dining and shopping. Corridors are very dark. **Rooms & Comfort** Rooms are true to photos. Beds are firm but surprisingly comfortable. Plenty of extra pillows and blankets provided. Fair warning though—this property is really more of a service apartment than a hotel, so manage expectations accordingly. **Cleanliness Issues** This is the main concern. Housekeeping mops the floor daily, but the water appears dirty and the floors end up grimier than before. If you're traveling with a child (as we were), you'll need to clean the floor yourself—and housekeeping will undo your work the next day. Frustrating cycle. **Breakfast & Food** Skip the hotel breakfast package—it's just delivery that you could order yourself. Better options are walking distance away. McDonald's is only 3 minutes on foot. **Service** Service is minimal to nonexistent. Asked about getting a local phone number for deliveries and the front desk was unwilling to help. Taobao/package deliveries get dumped in a communal basket with no sorting—you have to search through yourself. **Condition & Maintenance** Advertised as newly renovated in 2025, but visible wear and tear suggests low-quality renovation work. Concerns about long-term durability without proper maintenance. **Summary** Good for budget travelers who don't expect hotel amenities and don't mind doing some housekeeping yourself. The location and price are solid, but the cleanliness and service gaps are real issues."

"Choosing this hotel was definitely the right decision for traveling with elderly relatives and children. We originally booked a double room and a suite, but the front desk said the seniors could stay in a standard room, which was larger and closer to the suite, so we upgraded to a standard room for free. The standard room was slightly more expensive. The room was spacious and well-equipped. We had a very comfortable stay. It's a great choice for those traveling by car. It's a little hard to find, but calling the front desk will give you directions, and there's also underground parking, which is very convenient. Suitable for family travel. Especially during the May Day holiday, it was very cost-effective."

"I came to Qingdao with my kids for a holiday and saw that this place was right next to MixC mall. Since I had children with me, I contacted the hotel in advance to see if early check-in was possible. They readily agreed. Upon arriving at the 10th-floor reception, check-in was smooth, and seeing that I had kids, they even helped carry our luggage to the room. The room had large French windows, offering excellent natural light, and it was quite clean. The bathroom had a wet and dry separation, and the fridge was large enough to chill beer and fruit. When checking out, we could also leave our luggage at the front desk, which allowed us to go out and explore for another afternoon without any hassle."

"Staying at this hotel in Qingdao exceeded my expectations – it definitely deserves a five-star review! The location is absolutely unbeatable, right by May Fourth Square. You can literally walk a few steps to the seaside for a stroll, and it's super close to MixC Mall, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. We got an upgrade to a sea-view room, and the view was breathtaking. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered an expansive view of the ocean, and watching the city lights at dusk was particularly enjoyable. The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was fresh, and the space was much larger than typical hotel rooms. Plus, having a washing machine was a huge bonus for travel. The front desk staff were very friendly and responsive to any questions, and both check-in and check-out were very efficient. For a sea-view room in the May Fourth Square area, the value for money here is outstanding. It's perfect for couples or small families, and I'd definitely prioritize staying here again on my next trip to Qingdao."

"Beier Hotel, which is the tall building behind Westin Qingdao and just above May Fourth Metro Station Exit E. The serviced apartment I booked came with 2 double beds and a washing machine cum dryer. However, the decor and furniture were a bit dated, and the central air-con was set with moderate cool air and was switched off at night. This is a common feature in newer high-rise buildings in Qingdao because the weather is cold at night with a small window open. Full air-con is switched on for the whole building during summer. I requested for 2 standing fans during the booking but they provided 1 standing fan which took a long time to start and worked for the first night only Staff is professional and friendly and would do their best to meet our needs. Best guotie about 300m from this serviced apartment for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The huge MixC Mall is just above May Fourth Metro Station Exit B."

Furthermore, the elevators support facial recognition for automatic floor matching, and delivery robots accurately deliver items, providing a safe and efficient contactless service. From check-in to check-out, Fengyue Smart Hotel simplified the process with technology and conveyed warmth through attention to detail. It offers excellent value for money, and I will definitely choose it again for my next trip!"

"The apartment's location is absolutely fantastic! It's right above MixC Mall and the subway station, making it super convenient for getting around and shopping. It's also very close to May Fourth Square, just about a ten-minute walk. The room itself is neat and cozy, with comfortable bedding and excellent cleanliness. It even comes with a kitchen, washing machine, and refrigerator, and the bathroom has a great wet/dry separation – all the home amenities you could ask for. The value for money is outstanding, and being on a high floor means the view is incredible. Both the front desk staff and the cleaning aunties are very warm and helpful; the service is truly top-notch."
