This was a spontaneous trip, just an hour's drive from Hefei. The environment is exactly as advertised, truly the best hotel in the Daiao Mountain scenic area. Our two days at the hotel were quiet and relaxing. We even made traditional Chinese medicine sachets, which had a very healing scent, and enjoyed a singing bowl session. The breakfast had a wide variety and beautiful presentation, and the specialty dishes for lunch and dinner were delicious. On the second day, we hiked up Daiao Mountain, reaching the summit in 30 minutes – the perfect amount of exercise.

For any hotel location is the key, and although this is located right by the amusement park and water park and chao lake. It doesn’t have good directions or take good care of the walkways to allow people to walk unhindered. A shuttle bus to local spots should be provided. Breakfast which they provided had a ton of options but all of them subpar. If they had only a few things but made well and delicious it would be much better. The air conditioner was the worst. It pushed out humid air and rarely cool enough to drop the room temperature. All over the hotel they have ads for their restaurant but when we asked about it, it was closed. If something is not available, you should not be advertising it. Considered false advertisement. If due to your false advertising I have to go somewhere else for dinner, you should at least pay for the cab fare. Based on the hotel and the number of guests I saw I’m pretty sure you’re only putting guests in floor 8 and possibly floor 9. If that’s the case then each room should be meticulously cleaned. Ours didn’t have soap in the dispenser and was missing the conditioner completely. We were in a no smoking room, there was still a “do not smoke in bed” resin sign. Which was extremely dirty like no one’s cleaned it in weeks if not months. There’s a cute robot you send up to deliver things. But it doesn’t know to wait for people to get off the elevator before getting on, causing a family of 4 with their luggage to be partly trapped by the robot for a few minutes. I’ve had the opportunity to talk to a number of the staff and can see the lower occupancy and time has affected this establishment. But you can still do better.
