"Booked two rooms for a business trip and was pleasantly surprised upon check-in. The rooms were spotless, and the little complimentary treats were delicious. The bread in the lobby was also really good, I even took some home at checkout. The coffee was excellent too. The hotel has a great vibe, and the staff (the 'xiaojiejie' as I'd call them) were super friendly. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Suzhou; it's great value for money!"

GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the center of Suzhou, there is a metro station and a few bus stations nearby. It is very close to the main attractions in the city. The front desk also helped us upgrade the room, the room facilities are very complete, clean and tidy. In addition, there are self-service laundry and gym on the roof of the hotel. The restaurant on the upper floor provides high-level banquet services, and the hotel also has a Suzhou specialty noodle shop on the ground floor. The hotel staff is very welcoming and proactive to help, the accommodation experience is very good.

What truly touched my heart was the proprietress's exceptional kindness. She welcomed us with refreshing watermelon and snacks right when we arrived, and even had more thoughtfully prepared for us after a long day of exploring. The beautifully designed courtyard, complete with fish, turtles, and a swimming pool, adds so much character. It genuinely offers a unique and enchanting take on the classic beauty of a Jiangnan water town.

GGuest UserThe room, while a bit dated and standard, was thankfully odorless, which was a huge improvement over my last stay at Suxiang. Traveling with our 1.5-year-old, we appreciated having a play area. It was too hot to go out, so we ended up eating all our meals at the hotel. The food was quite delicious; we tried both Chinese and Western options, and they were all good. All the service staff were incredibly well-trained, polite, and friendly. A special mention to Xiaoqiu from customer service for her exceptionally thoughtful service. The travel photography experience was also excellent and completely hassle-free. We will definitely return!

GGuest UserThis was my first experience with a B&B, and it exceeded all my expectations! Though Gusu Courtyard isn't large, it's exquisitely designed and incredibly well-appointed – truly a case of 'small but perfectly formed'. Even before I arrived, the host proactively called me with thoughtful details on where to alight and how to navigate the alleyways to the property. The service was impeccable from the very beginning. Stepping inside, I immediately felt a world away from the bustling Pingjiang Road. The courtyard, enveloped by lush greenery, flowers, and fish in the pond, instantly isolated the city's hustle, creating a serene and pleasant atmosphere. Although the entire B&B only has nine rooms, the soundproofing was excellent. I barely heard any other guests, making it feel like we had the peaceful courtyard all to ourselves. The design was another constant delight. Every corner revealed thoughtful effort and aesthetic beauty, with details subtly showcasing the gentle charm and ingenuity of Jiangnan style. The breakfast, presented in a delightful multi-compartment box, was both delicious and visually appealing – a perfect start to the day. The host's service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive, making us feel genuinely at home and warmly welcomed. If I could, I would happily stay here for half a year! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a tranquil sanctuary in Suzhou.

RRuthWe were happy with our stay here. The room was nicer than it looked online, and the hotel was really clean. There are playrooms for young children that are free (3 rooms with some different toys in each room). The rooms are a bit old and tired, but my 2 year old enjoyed playing there and requested UK hi back lots of times. For parents it is just great to have somewhere for your kid to play and have fun, especially as the weather was very cold when we went! Outside there is a play area and sand digging pit. Location is walking distance from Tongli old town. Restaurant does evening buffet, and buffet breakfast. The food is fine, more Chinese than western, my husband really liked it and my favourite part was the Beijing roast duck at dinner. The pool is warm, with floats and rubber rings to borrow. There is a little land train, it takes a 10 minute trip around the hotel grounds and the cost is 20RMB for one adult and child. For me it was very boring but my son loved it 😂 The staff are very warm and friendly, everyone is very professional. Each guest is connected to a butler on wechat before they arrive so you can easily send a message and get some help. Our butler is Yu Ting and she helped us very professionally. For me, the things the hotel can improve are (1) the animal petting zoo - by western standard the facilities for the animals are not very good, just concrete enclosure with hut. For foreigners, we do not really like this. (2) We had a problem with the other guests smoking in the hotel, eg in the coffee bar. When I complained to the staff they tried to stop the guests, but even though they repeatedly reminded them to stop, the other guests continued. In the end they arranged for me to move to a private room near the bar where I could avoid the smoking. I was very grateful that they found a solution for me and my baby, but I am speechless there are such guests who flagrantly break the rules and the hotel cannot stop them. We smelled smoke in some different public areas, so maybe this is a problem with several guests 🙁 Overall we are happy with our stay and it is a good place to spend a few days with kids.

GGuest UserI came to Suzhou for Liu Yuxin's XANADU 2.0 concert. I chose Hilton because it's a well-established brand and not far from the Suzhou Olympic Sports Centre, which proved to be the right decision. I was very satisfied with the environment, service, and comfort. As soon as I arrived, hotel staff helped me with my luggage from the car, and then again when I got to my room. They also greeted me every time I took a taxi in or out. When I left, they helped with my luggage too. While I feel these services should be standard for a five-star hotel, not all five-star hotels pay attention to these details, so it's great that they maintain this standard! The room was also very comfortable and clean. My concert trip this time was satisfying in every aspect. Seeing my favorite singer perform, falling in love with the beautiful city of Suzhou, and a hotel that met my expectations – I'm very happy!

The room has excellent office facilities, with comfortable desk and chair, and stable internet, making work incredibly efficient. The soundproofing is great; you can't hear any noise even in the corridor, ensuring a quiet environment for both work and rest. Check-out supports quick invoicing, the process is smooth, and the service is professional and efficient. It offers much better value for money than other hotels in the same price range. Daisy was incredibly nice; I accidentally booked the wrong dates, and she quickly helped us modify the reservation. Highly recommend! The two kids' buffet breakfasts (for children under 1.4m) were perfect for the little ones.

We were particularly impressed by the range of facilities that catered to everyone in the family. The hot springs were a highlight for us, providing a tranquil escape and a perfect way to unwind and rejuvenate. The water was just right, and the surroundings were serene, adding to the overall relaxing atmosphere. The swimming pool was also a big hit, especially with the kids. Spacious and well-maintained, it offered plenty of room for swimming, splashing, and simply having fun. The kids’ playground was another wonderful feature that our children absolutely loved. Overall, our stay at the Novotel Suzhou was filled with wonderful moments, from relaxing in the hot springs to enjoying family time at the pool and playground. GGuest UserI booked this hotel because I wanted to try out this style, and overall, I was quite satisfied with the experience. The only minor drawback was that the location was a bit hard to find at first; after parking the car at the entrance of Pingjiang Road, we had to walk a distance, and the ground was uneven, which made it a bit challenging with luggage. On the day of check-in, the front desk surprised us with an upgrade to a room with a bathtub, which was a really pleasant surprise. The front desk staff also had an excellent attitude, making us feel very well taken care of. Additionally, upon check-in, thoughtful touches like small cookies, fruit, yogurt, and a welcome card were provided. These little details really enhanced the experience. The only thing is that the lighting in the room was a bit dim. I'm not sure if it was because I didn't know how to operate it, or if it was designed that way. It would have been perfect if the lighting brightness could be adjusted.
