"This hotel has an excellent location; the subway station is right outside, making it convenient to go anywhere. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was so comfortable I didn't want to get out of bed. The bathroom had plenty of hot water with a stable temperature. XXiaohuadidiThe hotel environment is great, and the rooms have just been renovated but there's no unpleasant smell. The service is excellent! I'd especially like to thank Tingting at the front desk, Wang Zhi from housekeeping for the beautiful flowers, Xiaoyun at the kids' club for helping me find my baby's water bottle, and Wu Dan for the generous fruit delivery. Overall, the service was fantastic! [smiley faces] It's also very suitable for children, as they can feed koi, bunnies, black swans, and ducklings. The children's play facilities are also abundant.

GGuest UserThis hotel is located on the eastern side of Taihu Lake, right next to Suzhou Bay, offering beautiful scenery. It's also within walking distance to the Florentia Village outlet mall. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the bedding is comfortable. There's an underground parking garage, which is very convenient for those traveling by car. Overall, a very satisfying stay.

Ccycat20The Four Seasons Suzhou is, without a doubt, the pinnacle of hotels in China in my opinion. It's located in the prime Jinji Lake CBD, a truly expensive area, yet it's built entirely to resort standards, with low-rise buildings and abundant greenery everywhere you look. I don't think there's another hotel in the entire country that meets this standard right now.
The hotel's decor and design are grand yet understated, a blend of Eastern and Western aesthetics, with every corner being photo-worthy. From the front of the main building, you can see the Gate of the Orient to the left and the Cultural Center to the right, capturing the most beautiful skyline on both sides of Jinji Lake.
Even the standard rooms are a spacious 55 square meters, and the bedding and toiletries are incredibly comfortable to the touch. Both the breakfast restaurant and the Chinese restaurant use high-quality ingredients and serve exquisite, delicious food. In addition to a standard gym, spa, and two swimming pools (the outdoor one offers a fantastic view directly facing the Gate of the Orient), the hotel also provides travel photography services, bicycle rentals, and a children's activity center with classes. A family could easily spend 24 hours here and not get bored.
In summary, while the Four Seasons Suzhou is 100% more expensive than thousand-yuan luxury hotels or popular B&Bs, the overall experience is definitely more than 200% better, making it truly good value for money (they occasionally have special packages). If your budget allows, I genuinely recommend staying here for a night.

GGuest UserFacilities: The overall layout is quite good, with excellent greenery and ample space. It's lovely to take a walk along the lake. The Taihu Lake view and water quality are decent.
Hygiene: The public areas could use some improvement; it seems there isn't a dedicated cleaner for them. However, the room's hygiene was quite good.
Breakfast: Too many people! The variety is quite rich, but it gets incredibly crowded during holidays.
Hot Springs: Soaking in the hot springs at night was great because you can't see much. During the day, they were closed in the morning due to a lawn wedding happening outside.
Swimming Pool: The temperature was fine, but the shower areas need better hygiene.
Kids' Area: I recommend adding a sandpit or some non-powered play equipment to keep kids entertained longer.
Butler Service: Ella was excellent! Our room had mosquitoes, and she immediately brought mosquito repellent. Her service was very attentive.

AAdairMy stay at Jinke Grand Hotel during the Labour Holiday was a great experience, especially considering the price. It was very cost-effective, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the amenities offered at such an affordable rate.
The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a nice view and even a bathtub, which was a great bonus. The hotel also has a swimming pool, which added to the overall experience. The location is very convenient. It is within walking distance of Suzhou North Railway Station, making it easy to get around. It is also about a 20-minutes trip to nearby malls and Western restaurants, which was perfect for me.
The service was excellent. The staff were professional, polite, and very helpful. I especially appreciated that they spoke both English and Mandarin, which made communication smooth and easy.
The only downside was the breakfast selection. While it was decent, I do wish there were more Western-style options, particularly when it comes to meat choices.
Overall, I had a very good stay and would definitely recommend Jinke Grand Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay in a convenient location.

KkachuyuhThe ambiance is wonderfully peaceful, far from the hustle and bustle, making it a perfect spot to unwind and clear your mind. While the resort isn't overly large, simply enjoying the lake views and taking leisurely strolls each day was incredibly pleasant. The only downside was the intense heat during our stay, which limited our ability to explore for extended periods.
**Cleanliness:** Everything was spotlessly clean. The pool water was also meticulously maintained, seemingly refreshed with each new booking, which was impressive.
**Facilities:** We stayed in a 2-bedroom unit. The layout of the upstairs bedroom felt more practical and well-designed. Downstairs, however, the bathroom lacked a separate wet and dry area, making the room quite humid after a shower, although thankfully a dehumidifier was provided. The tatami mat in the lounge area was very spacious, large enough to comfortably sleep two additional people.
**Service:** The service was excellent and very responsive. Our room was promptly serviced on the second day. A special thank you to our butler, Adrian!
**Minor Drawback:** The only slight drawback was perhaps the dining options. After trying two meals, we'd recommend sticking to the Western menu, as the Chinese food, in particular, offered quite poor value for money.

GGuest UserVisited with my daughter during the May Day holiday and stayed in the Octonauts-themed family room. My daughter absolutely loved it! The room was clean, and the breakfast selection was plentiful. We went around 9 AM and it wasn't crowded at all. The kids' play area was a bit small, but still perfectly fine for a five-year-old. We'll definitely stay here again next time.

DdyhxThe hotel has its own onsen area that's open to non-hotel guests. So the entrance starts with the shoe cabinets before reaching the front desk that serves both onsen day-use guests and hotel guests.
The Japanese themed room was luxurious. Very clean and impeccably maintained, good sound proofing I could hear a pin drop in the room. Double basins, Dyson hair dryer, bidet toilet bowl, standing shower and a huge zen sofa couch area by the window, complete with tea and chess set. Pity there's not much of a view out there. There's also no phone here, just a speaker by the bedside table or one can use WeChat to communicate with the front desk and of course robot deliveries.
Bed and pillow was too soft for my liking. Service is excellent and they even provide turn down service. I left the room for onsen and came back to a room where the curtains are drawn, a plate of fruits on the table, floor towel laid out in the shower area with the bath towel, originally under the basin, now hung on the door of the shower.
The stay package came with an Afternoon Tea set of fruits, desserts and crackers. The cheesecakes were meh but the pineapple tart made up for it. Fruits were fresh and yums.
In-house guests were given unlimited access to the Onsen and I took my time to enjoy it fully. It's a full Jap style onsen, meaning going fully naked. A rather small onsen with just 3 pools but the outdoor one was the best, soaking in 43 degrees pool in the cold. There's a chill out area outside including a lounge, meditation room and a movie-cum-reading room (what an irony though). They also have private onsen rooms for rent at additional costs.
Leisurely breakfast the next morning at 930am. Yes, I had to choose a specific hour to be at breakfast as it's a Jap bento set with a partial buffet (of noodles and porridge). Not outstanding for me.
But otherwise, it was 5* experience and I recommend this to anyone planning to come to Taicang to experience the onsen.

YYyy1cantI came to Suzhou from Nanjing for a business trip. My first night was at Niccolo, and my second night was at W Suzhou. I've stayed at many Marriott-branded hotels – The Westin Sanya, Nanjing Jinfeng, Shenzhen Kaisa, Zhongzhou, Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott, Xi'an JW, Sanya, Xi'an, Hong Kong, Chengdu Ritz, Beijing Bulgari, etc. By all accounts, I'm a loyal Marriott customer, but this was my first time staying at a W hotel. Let me start by saying this: it completely changed my perception of what a hotel could be; in fact, it hardly felt like a hotel at all.
The day before check-in, Sally, the hotel concierge, called to ask about my room preferences. Upon learning that I liked high-floor rooms, she met me at the front desk early the next day. The hotel lobby's decor, rather than being 'nightclub-esque,' felt more like a private club that never closes. It wasn't tacky; there were no cheap, mixed perfumes often found in nightclubs. Instead, it exuded luxurious design and a top-tier experience. Entering the room, I was pleasantly surprised by a suspended swing chair. Due to the twin bed room type, the hotel could only upgrade me to a partial lake view room, but the view genuinely impressed me. While Niccolo's view focused on an unobstructed skyline, W’s view emphasized the dazzling lights on the horizon. The vanity, tables, and chairs, and most surfaces used colored acrylic (or perhaps glass?), strongly highlighting W’s signature high-saturation color palette. My only regret is that due to my tight schedule, I couldn't visit the pool that the hotel highly recommended – apparently, it's right in front of the DJ booth. Next time I stay, I definitely want to try it out! 😂
Now for a small suggestion after all the positives: the sound quality of the speakers in the room wasn't great. Personally, if W positions itself as a social party hub for young people, then the hardware should be impeccable. 🥲 However, this minor flaw doesn't detract from the overall experience; aside from this, there's virtually nothing else to fault.
To summarize, Suzhou W adds a youthful, design-forward vibe while retaining the service and experience of traditional luxury hotels. It's not suited for business travelers or those who prefer quiet. It's perfect for young people, dating couples, and artists. If you love design, vibrancy, and art, choosing W Hotel is a foolproof option. I hope the hotel maintains its original vision and design sensibility. I look forward to an even more perfect experience on my next stay!

The butler, a lovely lady, upgraded our room again. And we even ran into Alice Xiaoxiao, the butler who assisted us during our stay last year – it was great to see her again! She proactively reached out before check-in to ask about our needs and was incredibly responsive to all our requests. The concierge service upon arrival was also very thoughtful.
The courtyards, lush greenery, and water features are beautifully designed, offering a new picturesque view at every turn. The views from our room were truly refreshing and invigorating! Kids' toiletries were fully stocked, and the complimentary soft drinks were of good quality, not just an afterthought. The hotel also offers free activities like Baduanjin (a traditional Chinese exercise), cocktail making, and night runs!
Overall, a very satisfying stay! Excellent value for money!
**Dining:** The hotel's Baiyun Restaurant is also fantastic. Even though dinner was a set menu from a group deal, every dish was surprisingly delicious! It's a perfect alternative to the Rongsheng Restaurant next door, where you often have to queue for two hours if you don't want to wait. They've changed breakfast to a mostly buffet style, which can sometimes mean colder food with a less-than-ideal texture. However, they still offer à la carte service upon request, which is great! And the champagne was delicious!
**Activities:** This trip, we came specifically to climb Lion Mountain, and we successfully reached the summit – the entire scenic area is very thoughtfully developed! Safety measures are also very well implemented! Whether looking out from the mountain or gazing at it from the hotel, it's a view within a view – perfect for photos! There are several well-designed buildings nearby, like museums and science centers, all within walking distance. The hotel key card provides direct access to Lion Mountain Park, and in the evening, they even offer transportation for a golf course tour. The park has added more activities since last year, including a mini-train, cycling, and boating. This year, we even tried kayaking – so much fun! We'll definitely be back next year!
Our sincere thanks to Alice Xiaoxiao, our butler, who made our first stay enjoyable and our second even more comfortable. Also, a big shout-out to the handsome concierge who helped with our luggage! The auntie providing turn-down service gave our child small gifts and drinks, and the three lovely ladies at the bar patiently taught us cocktail making… All the hotel staff made us feel so warm and welcome.
