"This charming homestay is tucked away on a quiet side street, just a quick 2-minute walk from the main Lianian Street. My friends and I loved the beautiful courtyard and traditional architecture — it really captured the local character of Jianshui. We only stayed one night, right after the Golden Week holidays, and were pleasantly surprised that the staff could arrange spacious rooms for us on the same second floor (I’d recommend choosing the second floor over the first). The staff were friendly and very responsive to our questions and requests. One thing to note: because it’s designed in a traditional courtyard style, you can hear other guests talking if you leave your windows open — but that’s part of the authentic atmosphere!"

"This hotel is perfectly situated right within the ancient city, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. The traditional architecture and the charming Siheyuan (courtyard house) exude a wonderful historical ambiance. The butler's service was thoughtful and meticulous; they prepared exquisite fruits and pastries for us and even upgraded our room to a spacious and comfortable one. For breakfast, they offered local specialties like 'Qiguoji Caoya Mixian' (steamed chicken rice noodles with grass sprouts), along with eggs, sweet potatoes, Youtiao (fried dough sticks), and soy milk. We'll definitely be back next time!"

"First off, the hotel's environment is lovely and beautiful, and the location is super convenient. The room size, cleanliness, and amenities are all great, and the soundproofing is pretty good – I didn't hear any noise from the neighboring rooms. All the staff are really nice; the front desk, the butler, the bellhop, and the housekeepers are all very dedicated and polite. There's also a relatively new SANSAN TEA within the hotel, and the bayberry fruit at the front desk is delicious. I stayed for two nights and three days and was very satisfied. The only minor points for improvement would be that the breakfast coffee machine was broken with no alternative offered (they could have easily put out some instant coffee), and while the breakfast sofa chairs look luxurious, they're not very practical for eating."

"The location is fantastic, super close to Jianshui Ancient City, perfect for walking around and exploring all the food! The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfy, and the service was really thoughtful. Seriously, the hygiene, environment, and service were all top-notch, and the facilities are brand new. It's amazing value for money – I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Jianshui!"

"Very nice homestay, clean, well located in the old town andwith a perfect host. Breakfast is halal and nicely presented in bento type tray. We stayed only one night on our way to Yuanyang. Wish we could stay longer. If ever we are in Jianshui again, this is the place we will come back to."

"The girls at the check-in desk are truly kind and welcoming. Even though none of them speak English, they are very helpful and use a translator device to communicate, which we really appreciated. The hotel is in a beautiful location, right in front of a small lake, and it also has a terrace where you can enjoy a lovely sunset over the old town. If you arrive by taxi or Didi, they will drop you off on the main road, and then it’s just a very short walk to the hotel. However, be careful because the hotel name is not easy to recognize, so it’s a good idea to use Google image translator to identify it. As for the rooms, the more affordable ones are quite basic and could use some updates. Only one side of the bed had electrical outlets, which was a bit inconvenient. The bathroom door was a sliding one that didn’t close properly and felt like it might fall off at any moment. Cleanliness was okay overall, but it could definitely be improved, especially in the shower. Overall, a nice stay mainly thanks to the location and the kindness of the staff, but the rooms could use some renovation."

"The Lin'an Hotel was the most satisfying part of our trip to Jianshui this Chinese New Year. If I could give it 100 points, I'd give it 99. There were three main advantages: First, the location is incredibly convenient – a mere 6-minute walk diagonally across the street to Zhu Family Garden. Second, the hotel breakfast was abundant and delicious, easily outperforming 95% of the famous restaurants in the old town. Third, the room facilities were excellent, and the hotel staff were highly professional. The only minor drawback was the longer wait for the elevator during peak times (though this shouldn't be an issue outside of major holidays like Chinese New Year or National Day). Overall, I was extremely satisfied and very grateful."

"On a business trip to Jianshui, I stayed at the Haitang Hotel and was very satisfied with everything. The hotel is right next to the Ancient City Small Train station, making it convenient for getting around. It also has its own free parking lot, which is a great relief for those traveling by car. The room was clean and spacious, with good natural light and ventilation. The mattress provided an excellent sleep experience, and the soundproofing was superb, ensuring undisturbed work and rest. All the facilities are well-maintained and look new, and the cleanliness details are impeccable."

"Excellent welcoming with free pickup at Railway station. The place is a bit difficult to find so the free pickup was very useful. Located in the old city with easy walking. The room was very clean except for some mould on the shower curtain. Privacy is a bit of a problem with one window to the outside with easy visibility into the room and one window facing inside also with easy visibility into the room. However, blackout curtains helped. The room was spacious but no fridge and wardrobe. Not a problem for us as we only stayed one day. No lift but hotel reception was great and help us with our bags and tips to get around."

"I've always loved staying in Chinese garden hotels and have experienced many across different regions, but this one's environment is by far my favorite. The Pine Garden is the most beautiful, grand and elegant. With a clear blue sky and sunshine, it truly surpasses even the landscapes of Jiangnan. In the morning, the light streams through the windows facing the courtyard, filling the room with warmth. At night, the silhouettes of the pine trees resemble graceful Dai dances, which is quite charming. I had originally planned to visit a famous garden cafe outside the ancient city after checking in, but then I saw how much better the hotel's own backyard was—it was truly exceptional. So, I immediately went back to my room, grabbed my Zitao tea set, and brewed coffee and black tea under the Ligustrum trees. My family and I enjoyed the gentle breeze, listening to the rustling leaves and gurgling water, admiring the blooming magnolias and the swaying goldfish. This became the highlight of our slow-paced Jianshui trip. I also saw other guests reading on the traditional 'beauty's rest' benches and observing the fish pond with great interest. This, I thought, is what coming to Jianshui is all about—letting time slow down a bit. The room included a private small courtyard, a small living room that doubled as a tea room, a bedroom, and a very spacious bathroom. There were also Jianshui cultural books by Chen Lei's comic team, which you could finish in half an hour to learn about Jianshui. In the evening, we received welcome fruits, and the morning's caya rice noodles were as good as, if not better than, those from external vendors. The room was incredibly quiet at night—we were truly in the heart of the ancient city, yet just a wall away felt like a secluded paradise. The intangible cultural heritage performance directly opposite the hotel starts at 8:30 PM. It's high quality, great value for money, and definitely worth seeing. The hotel is also very close to the Confucius Temple."
