"I have to commend the service at Star Hotel, especially Elaine. She was incredibly thoughtful, warm, and communicated with patience and attention to detail! All our requests were met, and our entire stay was arranged to our needs, making for a fantastic experience. The lake-view room was spotless, with even the smallest corners meticulously cleaned. The facilities were comprehensive and well-equipped, with plenty of hot water and fast Wi-Fi. The environment was very livable, right in the heart of a shopping district yet surprisingly quiet. Overall, the hotel pays great attention to detail, and the service is meticulous, making for a very relaxing and worry-free stay. "The room was clean and hygienic, and all the facilities were quite new. I was especially surprised by the vanity in the bathroom, with separate toilet and shower areas, and two sinks, which was very convenient for families. All the hotel staff were enthusiastic and helpful, always ready to answer any questions. The mineral water park area was quite large and even had a surfing zone, which was a unique experience. After playing in the normal temperature water, you could go soak in the hot springs nearby, which was incredibly relaxing. We had dinner and dim sum at the Liufu Restaurant on the second floor, and both offered excellent value for money."

"Traveling with family, I had originally booked a different room type, but I was so impressed by the hotel's thoughtful service! The front desk attendant not only allowed us to check in early, but also upgraded my room to the same floor as my parents, gave me a complimentary breakfast, and extended our check-out time. The room had an amazing view, and as night fell, the colorful lake scenery was simply breathtaking. The room was clean and tidy, and the location was super convenient with a mall right downstairs."

"Very elegante, cozy boutique hotel. Waterfront by the lake. Very relaxing.
The decor and ambient is really nice.
Room very spacious, very well decorated. We stayed in the lake view room with bathtub, great balcon facing the lake and street with falling blossom flowers.
Free daily fruits in bedroom.
Staff very welcoming and helpful.
We had breakfast from the hotel, limited to Chinese food, noodles, vegetables, eggs. Enough but lack of other options.
Nice rooftop terrace to relax or enjoy breakfast.
Hotel is in a quit street, next to some bistro restaurants and convenience store. Walking distance from downtown with malls and a lot of restaurants, about 15 minutes. Good to ride bicicles, take long walks.
Extra tip, we found a wine celler nearby, great atmosphere for a glass of wine, called 'moon lounge'. 10 minutes walk from the hotel.
We were not expecting new year's eve celebration but had the surprise of a lot to explore outside along the lake, with street food, vendors, games and performance. Also fireworks that we could watch from the hotel balcony. Really nice reflections on the lake.

The front desk service was practically nonexistent; the staff was just on their phones the whole time. Dining options are fairly convenient, and it's very close to Dinghu Mountain. However, it takes about half an hour to drive to the city center, so I wouldn't recommend staying here if you plan to explore the city."

"Although the hotel building is a bit old, it underwent a complete renovation 5 years ago, so the facilities are still quite high-end. The rooms are clean, tidy, and spacious. The lobby staff were very enthusiastic; because the third floor was undergoing renovations and they were worried it might disturb our rest, they proactively upgraded us to the ninth floor. When they found out we felt the room was a bit cold, they even brought us an electric heater. The hotel's location is excellent, with McDonald's, KFC, and a multi-purpose building right next door, making dining very convenient. Turning right out of the hotel and walking along Kangle North Road for about ten minutes brings you to the Zhaoqing Ancient City Wall on Songcheng Second Road. Parking is also very convenient, as the hotel has an underground parking lot. I'd suggest adding one more power outlet next to the bed in the rooms."

"The location of the B&B is good, on the edge of Qixing Lake, and there are scenic spots outside. The decoration is also quite unique, and they are responsible for picking up at the station. The proprietress is quite enthusiastic and gave me souvenirs when I left. The only thing I am not satisfied with is that the room I stayed in is too small, and the facilities are not complete. Everything is placed on the floor or windowsill. It is much more comfortable to stay in a hotel at the same price. I decisively canceled the next day's stay and moved to the hotel."

The facilities and environment are very new. Being a standalone hotel, it's independently operated, so there aren't many people coming and going, making it very safe and clean. The high ceilings prevent any feeling of being cramped, truly a great place to relax! The room is spacious and very clean, though it was missing a sofa. The bathroom is large, and showering is very comfortable with excellent water pressure and quick drainage. Breakfast isn't independently run by the hotel, but the variety is rich, and refills are prompt, though dairy products were missing. All the staff greet you with a smile, especially the cleaning staff who have an excellent service attitude. The price is incredibly reasonable! I'll definitely come again!

This homestay opened last year. It is quite close to Dinghu Mountain. It is simple and stylish. The room we chose is quite large, especially the large bathroom. It feels very comfortable to use; The proprietress was very enthusiastic and introduced us to the new attractions and food around, so that our trip to Zhaoqing was very enjoyable.

The hotel is located near the entrance of the north gate of the scenic Antelope Gorge Ancient Plank Road. It is only about 20 minutes' walk away. It is only a few kilometers away from Dinghu Mountain Scenic Area. The transportation is convenient and parking is in the underground parking lot. It should be noted that the parking fee is charged, but the hotel provides discount coupons. After scanning the code to enter the license plate, you can only pay 8 yuan a day for parking. The hotel's self-service check-in and check-out, the room equipment is complete, clean and odor-free, comfortable sleep, wide view, and overall very satisfied.

Guest UserTwo hours after leaving Vienna, I suddenly realized I'd forgotten my ring at the hotel! My heart plummeted. Just to give it a try, I contacted the hotel and explained the situation. The staff was incredibly friendly, reassuring me not to worry and immediately sending someone to my room to look for it. What touched me most was that they not only carefully checked under the bed (where I eventually found it), but even went out of their way to check in the trash can! The whole process took less than 20 minutes, and they successfully found it and notified me! Their speed, responsible attitude, and attention to detail were truly heartwarming. I sincerely thank the staff for their dedication! I highly recommend this hotel for its dedicated and attentive service!

The room is fully equipped, clean, and the linens and bedding are very satisfactory – truly five-star hotel quality. Right across the road is the Star Lake scenic route, and transportation is super convenient with a bus stop right outside. It's located in the Yanqian Village area.

We stayed in a family room made up of two connected rooms, which was spacious enough for our needs, though it only had one toilet. The hotel is centrally located with plenty of eateries nearby, making it very convenient for meals. However, on the third day of our stay, the toilet bowl became badly clogged and could not be flushed after use. The hotel did send staff up to clear the blockage, but it was still quite inconvenient, especially for a family room with only one bathroom.

My room type was small but had everything I needed, with a desk lamp for writing. The bedside lamp was bright enough for reading. The hotel's small garden was also perfect for a short stroll after breakfast in the early morning. The only downside was that the service attitude during check-in was just so-so.

There was a bit of messing around with the rooms when we arrived, but in the end we stayed in the room we originally booked. The room was like a full apartment with its own conservatory area, which we thought lovely. The highlight though was the location and view just outside though, the ginormous city park right across the street. It was all beautiful, we had a lovely coffee next to the water in the sun in the morning and the owner then took us in by car to discover the city center. At the end the owner again drove us with our suitcases to the train station. We absolutely loved our stay here.
Only downside I would say were the single use towels, which first of all were not very effective, secondly a horrible waste for the environment.
(On an additional small note regarding rooms, if you fear that guests would not like the cheapest room and insist they upgrade, you’re making the impression of having misled the guest during booking. We personally would have loved it, but we’re quite surprised to have it downplayed for us on arrival that it is too small and too loud. It was not too loud and size was good, perhaps a small cleaning to the windows and an upgrade in interior design could do the place good).

This stay truly exceeded my expectations, and I have to give this hotel a thumbs-up. The location is incredibly convenient, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, making it a great choice for both business and leisure travelers. Although Zhaoqing is a lovely place the transport to reach there from Kaiping was practically nonexistent. We almost scraped the idea of visiting until we found that we could transit and change to a bus from Jiangmen. Unfortunately we also hit another hitch at the Zhaoqing bus station because there was no public transport to the 7 Star Crags area where the hotel is located. However the pretty lady owner came to the rescue and picked us up. How cool is that? The lady boss is second to none. She was extremely helpful - suggesting places for food and attractions & even the order of doing them. Definitely the best part of staying here is her.
But her Homestay is great too. It’s very well located in front of the beautiful famous lake so we’re able to capture sunset and sunrise scenes easily.
In retrospect we should have stayed at least another night. Maybe we will meet again?
