"Ostello Bello Grande is a clean and comfortable youth hostel. The capsule beds are exceptionally clean, spacious enough, and provide a secure night's sleep. The service was excellent, very friendly and attentive. The location is generally good, about 3 kilometers from Milan Central Station, requiring a short bus ride, which makes getting around quite convenient. "The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. It's right across the street from the main train station, and having a subway entrance downstairs made getting around incredibly convenient. There are also tons of dining options nearby. I stayed for three nights, and the convenience of getting around was a huge plus. I booked a balcony room, and the view was great, plus the room was spotless. The service was also very good. My only real complaint is that the in-room facilities and amenities were quite inconvenient. I could overlook not having a kettle or coffee maker (though room service could bring a kettle if needed), but there weren't even any regular drinking glasses – only two small mouthwash cups on the sink. For a triple room, there was only one stool... Overall, it's a great spot with good hygiene and a nice view; just don't expect much else from the amenities."

"For the price, it's excellent. Very well located and very clean. The neighborhood is quiet at night, with all shops and services nearby. The cleanliness is outstanding; all the bed and bath linens are new and very white. It has a balcony where I exercised in the morning, but it's also for smokers. The breakfast isn't great, but what can you expect for 7 euros? The most notable aspects are the cleanliness and the location. I even got around the city solely by public transport and on foot. The Susa metro station must be barely 300 meters from the hotel."

The neighborhood is very quiet and green, with frequent squirrel sightings. The balcony offers a beautiful view, perfect for enjoying a cup of tea or coffee in the afternoon while soaking in the fresh air. Not far from the community is Parco Nord, a park featuring a lake, wild animals, and extensive woodlands—ideal for exercise, walks, and relaxation.

"The house is very quiet and comfortable. It's so unique and vintage. The accommodation is perfect for a walk after dinner. The hostess arranged a pick-up at the airport, and we arrived at the B&B quickly. Everything was very comfortable, and it saved me the hassle of traveling. The next day, I took the subway to the Duomo Cathedral and visited many other places. The subway only took about ten minutes to get there. The transportation is convenient. It's a very cost-effective house. I will stay here again next time I visit Milan."

"The room was clean. We didn't spend much time in it, but we were pleasantly surprised that there was a radiator that actually heated the room, which is quite rare nowadays 😁. It was very warm. The bathroom and toilet were clean; the women's bathroom was very spacious 😁😁😁. The manager was very friendly, and we were surprised that he spoke Ukrainian, although we mainly communicated in Spanish. The tourist tax for two people was €19 per day. Great location: 2 minutes from the subway and 10 minutes from the train station and bus stop. Recommended."

"My first stop in mainland Europe was Milan, and I chose this hotel. For two adults and one child, we opted for a triple room. European hotels are strict about occupancy matching the actual number of guests, so finding a triple room can be a challenge. We arrived from Milan Malpensa Airport at 6:30 AM, took a 1-hour train ride, and then walked to the hotel in less than 10 minutes – the route was very easy to find. The hotel is conveniently located, with a coffee shop across the street. We initially thought about having breakfast there, but later decided to head to the Duomo area instead. The hotel allowed us to store our luggage in advance, but early check-in wasn't possible, which is understandable. We came back around 3 PM for check-in and found that while the room wasn't large, it was well-equipped with bath towels, slippers, shower caps, and shampoo. You'll need to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and electric kettle. There's a safe and a mini-fridge in the room, but the mini-bar items are chargeable. Breakfast was especially plentiful and served from 7 AM to 11 AM. Overall, we were very satisfied with the hotel, though the Wi-Fi connection was a bit tricky. One minor complaint: the bathroom light is sound-activated, which is fine when showering, but it kept going dark while using the toilet, and even clapping loudly didn't always work. The small balcony was nice, but for non-smoking tourists, it's not particularly useful."

"Great spot for a solo trip, though it was over 200 for a bed due to the Winter Olympics. Note that it's just a bed, no toiletries are provided. There's a small restaurant at the front desk with a lovely atmosphere where locals gather and chat. The transportation is decent; it's about a 15-minute walk from Bovisa station on the airport line, or you can take a direct bus to Milan Central Station."

"Very satisfied with a stay experience! The room was very clean, warmly furnished, well-equipped, very convenient and comfortable to live, next to a large shopping mall, there was everything to eat and drink, and there was a big supermarket. Outside is the park, go to the convention and exhibition center for two subway stations. The landlord was very enthusiastic, responded quickly to the message, and gave us a lot of help. I will come again if I have a chance in the future, highly recommended!"

"An average hotel with a nice view, a modern vibe, and convenient proximity to the Central Station. However, the room had several issues: the AC was loud, the temperature controls were locked, and the PIR sensor in the bathroom was overly sensitive, causing the lights to turn off even when occupied. The room wasn’t soundproof, and there were some questionable design choices, such as the sliding door track protruding into the room. Additionally, the USB port was broken, and the shower doors leaked water onto the floor. On the bright side, the breakfast was tasty and offered a generous variety."

Great
Nice hotel in the heart of Milan 500m from the Duomo, 347 restaurants and likely as many stores. The rooms and common areas are nicely designed with quality materials. The rooms are well designed with nice large bathrooms and especially rain showers. They have among the most comfortable bathrobes I've ever had at a hotel. That's why it's a mystery to me that the same hotel has the most pathetic pillows l've ever had short of a Super-8 motel. One is too thin and hard and the other is too soft and light. It's time to upgrade to one foam and one down pillow. The other great mystery is the hair dryer. I think the Dollar Store wall-mounted models actually provide more heat and power. The breakfast room is where the hits and misses continue. Nice full buffet with a wide array of fruits, breads, charcuterie, cheeses, viennoiseries and cereals. The super automatic espresso machine with fresh milk and beans visible through glass is one of the best l've ever seen. You'll notice I didn't mentions eggs, bacon and sausages in the buffet. They have all three but the quality lies somewhere between prison and hospital grade. The powdered eggs are terrible and if they aren't powdered but actually fresh, that's even worse. The bacon is a processed pancetta saltier than sardines. The halal sausages completed the trifecta. Getting back to the hits, the hotel is clean and the staff is dedicated. The rooftop bar is second to few in Milan. It may appear over priced at first with a 23€ minimum charge for all cocktails as a price of admission but that includes three high quality amuse-bouche croquettes. It was more than enough to later save on appetizers at local restaurants. The live DJ was spinning up a nice vibe and the people were as beautiful as the views. The restaurant was fully booked and fully priced so we didn't stay for dinner. The self-park down the street at 28€ per day was reasonable as were the mini-bar prices. The misses are easy to fix so we'll be back to check on their progress.

Very clean and well kept, considerably new. It seems like quite a popular spot as we weren’t able to check in early when we arrived around 1 pm. I really like the washroom and it was very clean just like at home. The location is not bad, quite near the metro as well. However, I don’t think there are a lot of amenities. Would definitely rebook if I was to come back to Milan in the near future as the price was reasonable and I had a very good rest.

I stayed here in July with my friend. The hotel location is really convenient (5 mins walk to the main station). For two people the room size is good, amenities etc however at night it got really cold and spare duvets were not provided (had the AC on the entire night as my friend needed it). It would be useful for duvets to be stored in the cupboards already as we had to make a phone call around 2am for it which took a while to come. Reception staff were nice, stored our luggage and umbrellas were provided for the day.

Nice hotel service and nice location. Near the train and the bus station. They call it the Eternal City. A phrase that feels almost trite until you stand alone, utterly dwarfed, beneath the Pantheon’s impossible dome, or trace your fingers over travertine worn smooth by two thousand years of passing hands. Rome isn’t just eternal; it’s immediate, visceral, a theatre of existence where the past isn’t preserved behind glass, but bleeds passionately into the vibrant, chaotic present. And experiencing it solo? That’s not loneliness; it’s liberation. It’s a conversation, intimate and profound, between your soul and the city’s timeless spirit. My dialogue began at dawn, chasing the first honeyed light spilling across the Piazza Navona. Alone, you move differently. Unburdened by consensus or compromise, I followed whims: detouring down a cobbled *vicolo* heavy with the scent of baking cornetti, drawn by the sudden, breathtaking reveal of the Trevi Fountain, still relatively quiet. Tossing my coin wasn’t just a tourist ritual; it was a whispered promise to the city, a silent pact sealed in the cool morning air and the fountain’s roaring majesty. Solitude amplifies these moments – the crisp *click* of your heels on ancient stone, the unfiltered awe as Bernini’s marble figures seem to surge from the water, frozen in divine drama. You hear the city’s own heartbeat, the murmur of awakening life, the distant clang of a baker’s shutter, the splash echoing in the vast basin. Wandering towards the Roman Forum, the sheer weight of history becomes palpable, almost a physical pressure. Alone, you can truly stop. You can perch on a sun-warmed block of tufa, gaze at the skeletal arches of the Basilica of Maxentius reaching defiantly towards a piercing blue sky, and let your imagination run riot. No commentary needed, no shared speculation required. Here, amid the ghosts of senators and centurions, the silence isn’t empty; it’s resonant. You feel the centuries compress. A stray cat sunning itself on Julius Caesar’s altar becomes a perfect, poignant metaphor for time’s relentless, indifferent march. The Colosseum looms nearby, its brutal grandeur undeniable. Observing it solo, you feel its dual nature more acutely – the awe-inspiring engineering marvel and the chilling echo of spectated suffering. It prompts introspection, a quiet contemplation on humanity’s enduring contradictions, impossible amidst a crowd’s chatter. Then, the Pantheon. Stepping inside is like walking into the mind of God, conceived by mortals. The sheer scale, the perfection of the dome – that oculus open to the heavens – is humbling beyond words. A shaft of sunlight pierces the dusty interior, illuminating motes dancing like celestial dust. Sitting alone on a bench, head tilted back, the immensity washes over you. The whispers of fellow visitors fade into a reverent hush. You feel infinitesimally small yet profoundly connected to the generations who stood precisely here, awestruck, for millennia. Solitude allows this space for pure, unadulterated wonder. It’s not just seeing; it’s *feeling* the architectural genius, the spiritual ambition made stone. But Rome isn’t just monumental stones; it’s vibrant, messy, delicious life. Crossing the Tiber into Trastevere, the atmosphere shifts. Narrow streets twist like tangled yarn, laundry flutters like colourful flags between ochre buildings, and the air thickens with the garlicky perfume of *cacio e pepe* and frying *carciofi*. Solo travel makes you porous. You notice the old men arguing passionately over espresso at a tiny bar, the clatter of plates from a hidden trattoria kitchen, the effortless elegance of a Roman woman navigating the cobbles in impossible heels. You slip into a *salumeria*, point at mysterious cheeses and glistening olives, and assemble a picnic feast. Finding a quiet step on Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, watching life swirl around the ancient basilica as you savour pecorino sharp enough to make your eyes wa
