The room is clean and sanitary, with complete facilities. Overall, it's just okay. There is tea and drinking water, but no coffee. There are no random gifts, which is understandable. It is very close to Cuihu Lake and has convenient transportation.

I have to commend the service at this hotel! From the moment we were guided in upon arrival to the check-in consultation, the staff were patient and meticulous. When we needed extra toiletries in the evening, the butler quickly delivered them to our door – so thoughtful and attentive. The room was clean and comfortable, the environment was quiet, and the breakfast was delicious. Our entire stay was incredibly pleasant.

I wholeheartedly recommend the Grand Park Hotel Kunming! The location is excellent, making it super convenient for getting around. There's a plethora of amazing food options right on your doorstep, so you'll never have to worry about finding something delicious. The room was spotlessly clean, fresh, and wonderfully quiet, making for a truly comfortable stay. The service, however, was the real highlight. The staff were meticulous and attentive, providing thoughtful and heartwarming care throughout my stay. Their dedication was evident in every small detail.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, very close to Cuihu Lake, with convenient dining and shopping options nearby. It's also within a 10-minute walk to attractions like the Military Academy and the Yunnan Liberation Memorial. The rooms are spacious, and bottled water is freely available. Breakfast offers a good variety of both Western and Chinese dishes. The staff are welcoming and generous. Parking can be difficult in the old city, but the hotel has a courtyard parking lot. Although it's shared with a government office and can be tight during working hours, there's a dedicated free parking floor in the parking garage across the street, ensuring ample spots even during peak tourist season.

An unexpected delightful stay, with heartwarming attention to detail. This was a very satisfying experience! The hotel's location is excellent, directly accessible from Panjiayuan subway station, making it convenient to reach various attractions and the train station. Although the room isn't large, it's well-designed, with comfortable bedding and good soundproofing, ensuring a great night's sleep. I especially want to commend the hotel's cleanliness; it was meticulously cleaned, which put my mind at ease. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to answer questions and even proactively offered travel advice. It's a reliable choice for both business trips and family vacations.

Wonderful place to stay, I love the vibe and energy of the hostel itself. I did not stay enough to enjoy to lovely activities and community but I absolutely reccommend this place. I stayed in 8 women room and I appreciated the cleanliness of the bed, bedsheet, locker etc. That is very important as it is the only space just for you. Bathroom was ok, I did not know it is mixed but I did not have any problem - and it was also clean. I like the option of the restaurant and free tea at the reception. Location is also great! Kunming is lovely and artsy town🫶

Overall, I'd say the hotel was decent, but the breakfast truly wasn't that great. The variety wasn't extensive, and while the taste was okay, it definitely wasn't worth paying extra for. The room was cleaned daily, which was nice, and I absolutely loved their orange-flavored gummies – the cookies were tasty too! (•؎ •) I initially chose this place because of its proximity to Cuihu Lake, which is just a short walk away! Cuihu Lake is perfect for a stroll with family; even with all the vendors, it never felt noisy. Taking a taxi to other attractions from here wasn't expensive either. A taxi to Shuncheng Shopping Center cost less than ten yuan, and they have brands like BA and Huamanlou (૮(˶ᵔᵕᵔ˶)ა), which are actually pretty worth exploring (a word of caution: avoid the Guoqiao Rice Noodles at Shangzuo – sharing a table there was a terrible experience). Ordering takeout here was super convenient! I ordered a ton of food, and the delivery fees weren't too high! (It's also close to Kunming Old Street, though I didn't go... the 'shuilu' [water-boiled] is supposedly really good there). The hotel's screen mirroring worked fine, though it wasn't super clear. The soundproofing was good; we weren't really disturbed at all. All in all, I think this hotel offers good value for money (but I won't give it a perfect rating! Because I arrived a bit late and ended up with a low-floor, corner room!).

Tonight, I made a last-minute check-in at the 'Cuihu Hotel', designed by I.M. Pei. It was unplanned, but a delightful surprise. In my opinion, a hotel isn't a museum; its 'sense of history' should be elegant, not heavy, and its 'vintage feel' should be classic, not dated. Before arriving, I was very worried this 69-year-old hotel would feel stuffy and decayed. To my surprise, Cuihu Hotel strikes the perfect balance and shows great wisdom. For example, the public area ceilings are adorned with 24K gold leaf, and the murals feature maple wood relief carvings with gold accents – aesthetics that are certainly a product of their time [tears of joy emoji]. However, they've now added many art pieces to temper this 'bling' and enhance the elegance and scholarly vibe. Even the subtle classical jazz music and the light, delicate fragrance filling the air inject a fresh, youthful spirit into the overall ambiance. Yet, the common issues of older hotels persist: outdated facilities, bathtub design, and those unsightly large pillars… This leaves me feeling conflicted, both loving and hating it, and hesitant about whether I'd stay here again (especially with kids). What truly stood out was the check-in experience: the front desk gifted us fresh roses, a succulent potted plant, and a postcard as souvenirs. In the room, there was a handwritten card, red-billed gull biscuits, Yunnan small-bean coffee powder with a Moka pot. They even pre-arranged a bedtime dessert and a crib bumper. For welcome fruits, the housekeeping auntie knocked on our door with a basket, letting us choose our own! 😄 These interactions significantly elevated the stay, even adding a wonderful touch to my overall impression of this Yunnan trip. In summary, it has history but struggles with modernity; thankfully, the details, service, and quality are all excellent 👍. P.S. The room upgrade was successful, and my 'begging' for it went very smoothly.

The location is super convenient, really close to the subway station, and right next to a bustling commercial area. The room is high enough that you don't get bothered by the noise from the shops. It's a non-smoking room, very clean and tidy, and the bedding is so comfortable, I slept like a baby. The front desk staff, both the guys and girls, were really friendly and provided warm, thoughtful service. I guess it's the off-season before the winter holidays, because they even upgraded my room type – how lucky is that! I'll definitely choose this place again next time!

Returning to Kunming after many years, I blindly chose Gong Guan and was pleasantly surprised! The hotel is located in the city center, offering convenient transportation and a beautiful, yet quiet environment. The service was warm and attentive, making us feel right at home. The rooms were neat and clean, and the breakfast spread was rich, with delicious rice noodles 👍. Another great plus is how pet-friendly the hotel is, which really put our minds at ease. Highly recommend! 👍
