Established in 1879, this hotel is indeed the Grand Birmingham Hotel! It oozes classiness throughout. Our room was spacious but looking at the floor plan, that seems to be the standard! Bathrobes provided though not slippers. The shower has a door instead of the useless walk in panels that never work! No useless espresso cups but proper world map mugs for our coffees and tea in-room. Two comfortable arm chairs and the bed… The bed was a dream and I’m hoping to source the exact mattress topper and duvet! Perfect for me as a smoker, the hotel has an exclusive courtyard terrace on the first floor offering complimentary self service coffee. There are two adjacent restaurants to the hotel that uphold a dress code ensuring the premises is classy throughout. Beyond the hotel doors there’s plenty other eateries as the hotel is bang in the centre right by the Birmingham Cathedral: again perfect for our following Palm Sunday. The only thing I don’t understand is why the hotel entrance is not bigger and grander than it deserves.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in Birmingham, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. This hotel is a true gem in the heart of the city, and I can’t recommend it highly enough for anyone visiting Birmingham. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the front desk team went out of their way to make me feel at home. I was thrilled to be upgraded to a deluxe room with a stunning view of Birmingham’s skyline, which added a special touch to my stay. The room itself was spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable – I slept like a dream every night! I loved the little touches, like the Nespresso machine, high-speed Wi-Fi, and the sleek bathroom with a powerful rain shower and luxurious toiletries. Everything felt well thought-out, making my stay both relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel’s facilities were top-notch. The on-site restaurant was a highlight, offering a fantastic breakfast buffet with a wide variety of options, from fresh pastries and fruit to full English breakfast items. I also enjoyed a delicious dinner there one evening – the food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, and the service was impeccable. The bar area was a great spot to unwind with a cocktail after a day of exploring the city. The location of the Leonardo Royal Hotel Birmingham is unbeatable, especially if you want to be in the heart of the action. It’s just a short walk from major attractions like the Bullring Shopping Centre, Birmingham New Street Station, and the vibrant Brindleyplace area, making it perfect for both leisure and business travelers. I also appreciated how easy it was to get around the city, with excellent transport links nearby. What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the exceptional service. Every staff member I encountered was professional, friendly, and genuinely eager to help. When I needed recommendations for local restaurants and attractions, the concierge provided brilliant suggestions. Overall, my stay at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Birmingham exceeded all expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. Whether you’re in Birmingham for a weekend getaway, a business trip, or a special occasion, this hotel is the perfect choice. I’m already looking forward to my next stay here – thank you to the entire team for making my visit so special!

This was the third time staying at the hotel and again the service and room were excellent. Very quiet and a really good sleep.

This store is located near Snow Hill train station, surrounded by office buildings. There's a police station just 150 meters away, making it feel very safe. The hotel offers free breakfast; although the variety is limited, it's nice to have a cup of coffee in the morning. The rooms are very spacious with great views. Additionally, the shower has strong water pressure, making the overall experience perfect. The price is also reasonable! I would stay here again next time.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 with great Location near to Train Station! I had a really pleasant stay at Britannia Hotel Birmingham New Street. The room was spacious, tidy, and very clean, which made it feel comfortable and relaxing after a long day exploring the city. The hotel’s central location is perfect — just a short walk from the train station, shops, and restaurants, making it very convenient for both leisure and business trips. The staff were friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with anything I needed. It was just abit noisy because my room is next to the street where there is a christmas market , but the room was well maintained. Overall, it was a great experience — excellent value for money, clean rooms, and a convenient location. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Birmingham.

5 stars. Exceptionally clean room, outstanding staff and an unbeatable location. Everything you need is within walking distance and the surrounding shops and amenities make it the perfect spot. Friendly people throughout and an altogether excellent stay. Highly recommended.
