SSarah JanesThis place is quite unusual. My room was upgraded so that I had a suite over two floors, with a small private pool on another lower level. Absolutely every convenience had been considered, some extras might verge on overkill (bog roll tied up with a ribbon for example). The room looked amazing on first inspection, but I quite quickly realised the smell of the pool was so strong it stung my eyes, and the sound of the ventilation unit was quite a roar. There was only one small openable window on the mezzanine level next to the bed and I had to sleep with that open as wide as possible. Bed was extremely comfortable, I had to turn off the pool ventilator unit in the middle of the night because it kept waking me up, but once I had done that and the smell of baking bread entered the room from a bakery down the road I slept like a log. Staff were really nice and friendly, but they are working with quite difficult circumstances and perhaps unnecessarily. The kitchen is on the bottom floor and breakfast is served on the 5th floor roof (from which you can see the Parthenon) breakfast is a little awkward as you get a huge wicker basket 🧺 full of food plus crepes, plus omelette, plus tuna sandwich, a whole baguette (some more little ribbons), and I am not sure anyone can eat as much as is provided, and the server had to keep travelling up and down in the one person elevator. Probably would be better to ask guests what they would like to have for breakfast out of the options available and have a coffee/tea station upstairs. There is the option to take lunch in your room - for which the picnic basket concept makes a lot more sense. Seems like there should be a way to make the place feel more efficient and common sensible. I did get the feeling that they might have only just opened and are finding their feet, so I hope this review will be useful - certainly was a generous accommodation and staff are working very hard to make sure guests have the best possible experience.

GGuest UserTraveling from London with a 19-hour layover in Athens, I arrived at the hotel around 9 PM and had a flight to Shanghai the next day at 1 PM. I chose this hotel primarily for its excellent location, being very close to the Acropolis and within walking distance. Even with a short layover, I could easily fit in a half-day tour of the Acropolis the next morning. The overall check-in process was smooth, and it was a perfect choice for an overnight stopover to explore Athens.

GGuest UserThe place is perfect with just walking distance of less than 10mins you’ll get to Monastiraki station also the area, or Omonia station. Nearby are all restaurants and shops, there’s one supermarket just next to the corner where you can get 1l mineral water for just under 1€, the receptionist told me tap water is free to drink but I just prefer bottled water. There’re two small balconies on level 6&7 that you’d be able to get a good area view but not the Acropolis cause it’s been blocked by other buildings. They don’t provide free towel or slippers, no shampoos either in the bathroom. There’s locker in the room offered for each of us with lock. Bathrooms considered clean but a bit tight and no space to put your clothes towel or toiletries, there’s a place to hook inside but the hook got wayy high up definitely not for someone short like me (160cm) and there’s also one hook outside of the bathroom, slight inconvenient there. Water pressure is strong and there’s hot water.

GGuest UserWe loved this hotel! We booked it based on good price, nice photos/reviews and close proximity to vegan restaurants. My only slight concern was that some reviews described the location as a little seedy/dangerous. We did not find this to be the case at all. We loved the location, away from the tourist 'centre', but still easily accessible by metro in about 10 minutes. In fact, from this area it seemed really easy to travel to many different parts of Athens, and the metro station itself was a 10-minute walk away. There is a large, lovely park 5 minutes across the road, where lots of people & families were hanging out during the long, summer evenings. Yes, there are some run-down buildings and graffiti in the area, but that seems to be all over Athens, and it did not feel aggressive or threatening. The hotel itself was lovely. The photos are very accurate. Our room was soooo comfortable, a great size, with good storage (wardrobe), comfy bed/pillows, a nice shower and a small fridge, kettle and coffee pod machine. Down in the basement is a communal space with a pool table, small kitchen for preparing food, and space to chill out or watch movies. You can also get fresh, drinkable water here, There is a small terrace on the top floor, with a bit of a view and some friendly pigeons. The staff at reception were so lovely - friendly & helpful, great English speakers too. The only thing I would mention is that our room was at the front of the building, on the 1st floor, and you could easily the hear the traffic on the main road (which is around the corner - the hotel itself is on a side street). We were also treated to some early-morning trumpet practice from someone in an apartment opposite (and he definitely needs the practice!) So if you are sensitive to noise or a light sleeper, you should ask for a room at the back. But, that aside, it was a great hotel which I highly recommend, and would definitely stay here again.
