A stone's throw from the banks of the River Liffey, Ruby Molly may be a newcomer, but she's channelling some serious 19th-century charm. For over a century, the area was home to a lively fruit and veg market. With fresh produce arriving daily on horse-drawn carts, the surrounding streets were abuzz with traders and shoppers, swapping tales of town and country.
Inspired by this meeting of rural and urban, we've created an inviting space to meet and mingle with folk from near and far. Join us in the bar for some great music, settle in and take our signature cocktails for a spin. And when it's time to unwind, each room is a haven of Lean Luxury calm, designed with sleep experts to help you drift off after a busy day in the city.
A short walk from the river and ten minutes from Temple Bar, Ruby Molly's a great base for exploring Dublin. The Guinness Storehouse is a 25-minute stroll away, as is pretty Phoenix Park. The airport's around 40 minutes away by bus, with stops not far from our front door.

The service was generally good, except for an issue we experienced with a staff member named Peter. Despite having a prepaid and pre-booked stay, we were threatened with cancellation because we requested to check in at 9:30 pm after receiving no response from the property. The automatic door was locked, there was no one at the check-in desk, and we had to ask another staff member to direct us to someone who could assist. Peter eventually came to help, stating he was doing so out of his busy schedule. I expressed that we would prefer to be checked in by the staff member assigned to that role, at which point he stated he would cancel our booking. When we asked on what grounds, he said he was the manager. It was an unusual and uncomfortable interaction, especially given that we were simply trying to check in to a stay we had already paid for.

The location is conveniently with a supermarket and convenience store just a 2-minute walk away. There are multiple routes to the city center within 10mins. It's about a 1-minute walk to a bus that goes straight to the airport Terminal 1, and you can use the tourist day pass “Leap Card” for that ride—though it might not be ideal if you have lots of large luggage. The room was spotlessly clean and modern, but the only downside is the very narrow space at the foot of the bed, which makes getting around a bit tricky.

It's okay. Just right. The only problem is that it's right above several bars and the windows don't block out the sound. It's very noisy at night.

Great
GGuest UserI was left stranded at the airport late at night by Ryanair. Conrad was the only room I could book but when I arrived they were so welcoming and charming I felt very cared for. Thank you beautiful hotel!
TTeacherTravelTimesI decided to ditch staying in the city centre based on my below par experiences there on my last trip. When looking on Trip.com, Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel in Dalkey was the same price as several dorm rooms in the city centre when I looked. Getting there from Dublin Airport was relatively straightforward. I took and Aircoach from the airport to Dalkey/Ulverton Road and then walked for about 15 minutes. Up to the hotel entrance. The hotel is fairly old fashioned but personally I found it very charming. The staff were well-trained in the art of hospitality, the rooms were clean, locals were in and out of the bar, restaurant and leisure centre. Furthermore, the room was spacious with tea and coffee making facilities. The tv had a nice range of channels and the bathroom had a working shower and an abundance of towels. One thing missing was a toothbrush, toothpaste and shaving kit. I was told that you can get slippers on request as well. Get the breakfast. It’s €16 and it’s a buffet style with a delicious selection of hot and cold food. There’s rashers, sausages, hash browns, pancakes, the works. I wish I could’ve eaten more! I loved that they had a wide range of ages working there as well. One of the staff tripped when she went to ask if everything was ok and she said ‘I’m fine, I’m falling for you!’ It was then that I knew that I was home. The leisure centre is one of the best I’ve come across in a while. I’ve stayed in so many places where it’s literally an empty room with a few bits of old equipment but they had loads of weights, treadmills, bikes, etc. They do classes and physiotherapy as well. The pool and jacuzzi were also excellent. Plenty of ages in both as well but it wasnt overcrowded so you’ll get a few lengths in if you want. Lastly, make sure to go for a walk about Dalkey and the surrounding areas. I spent the morning walking down to the Vico Baths, the Forty Foot (both swimming locations) and passed through Dalkey Village. Plenty of people will be out with their family and friends whether it be for a walk, bike ride, swim or a coffee and a chat. Ditch Dublin City and say yes to Dalkey!
SShirley TsaoIt’s a lovely apartment style hotel. We booked a studio room and were very impressed by the thoughtful design of the room. The kitchenette was very well equipped with everything you’d need to make a simple meal. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and the location was great, close to public transport and city centre. The only downside for us, a small imperfection, was the sheets actually didnt fit the bed completely and the bed moves a little, so we find ourselves having to fix the sheets and the bed everyday. Hopefully they can fix this going forward.
GGuest UserThe man at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming as soon as my friends and I arrived. The rooms were kept especially clean throughout our entire stay. The friends I traveled with also ate at the breakfast and said the price was fair because the buffet was so good. 10/10 stay. Also just a ten-ish minute ride downtown and airport.
GGuest UserExcellent hotel and very friendly staff. There is a shuttle to the airport that the reception staff will book for you upon check in. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you have an early flight the next day.
GGuest UserMy husband and I had been planning this trip to Dublin for quite some time. And when we found this beautiful boutique hotel online, we were so excited. As soon as we arrived And checked in, there was a lot going on in the lobby area, so it was a little overwhelming. We saw a lady at the desk, but we weren’t sure that she actually worked there because she didn’t greet us. Didn’t even look our way. It seemed like she had a general disinterest or disdain for us being there. I asked, “Is this the front desk to the hotel?” To which she responded in a monotone voice, “Yes.” I was shocked that this was the first impression of the hotel that we were getting. What made it worse was that my husband was told that we needed to put a card on hold and he proceeded to tap his card thinking that it was like all the other places we had been to in Ireland. But it didn’t work. Several times he tapped it and it showed nothing. He asked the lady, “does your tap work? Do you have tap?” To which she replied a curt, “no.” Mind you, she was standing there the entire time and could see the entire situation. This interaction was such a bummer, and this made our short trip to Dublin feel a little sour.
To be honest, not all of the stuff was like that morning. We woke up to get a coffee downstairs, and the gentleman that works at the coffee bar was very warm. A young Spanish speaking man. He was absolutely amazing; patient and willing to answer any questions About the items on the menu And the different pastries available.
Overall, the hotel was a mixed bag. It had a very chic vibe but outside of that lovely gentleman, their customer service can definitely improve!
