"Great location, basic but clean. Room has a balcony which is handy as the stairs are typical of Amsterdam. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful. Would stay here again"
"I hope this message finds you well. My wife and I together with a boy, recently had the pleasure of staying at NL Hotel for three days and two nights, and we wanted to express our heartfelt gratitude for your kindness and generosity during our visit. After enduring a long holiday journey that resulted in leg injuries for both of us, your thoughtful gesture of upgrading us to a room with lift access truly made a significant difference to our comfort and well-being. Your attentiveness and willingness to go the extra mile did not go unnoticed, and we deeply appreciate it. The hotel’s convenient location near Leidseplein, with its vibrant selection of dining options, made our stay all the more enjoyable and memorable. Your efforts not only enhanced our experience at NL Hotel but also left us with a lasting impression of your exceptional hospitality. Thank you once again for your kindness and support. We look forward to staying at your hotel again in the future and will certainly recommend it to our friends and family."
"Had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was very convenient. Great value for the price. Would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit👍🏻"
"The location is great, right in downtown and very convenient walking around in the center of Amsterdam. Room was especially small, not a big hotel, think they gave me their smallest room with a view of the internal air-well in the basement. The room was not even big enough to open up my luggage completely so I had to unpack out a few clothing as I was staying there for a few nights and luckily able to store my closed luggage beneath the bed. Toilet was small but looked as if it was recently upgraded in the last few years, it looked fairly new although there were some drain flies flying around in the toilet and could have been cleaned or exterminated better. Bed was surprisingly a double for such a small room and was comfortable enough. I had an issue with the receptionist opening my room door without knocking at all while I was stark naked and about to head into the toilet for a shower. Did not think that it was professional no matter the reason for doing so - apparently she was confused and open up the wrong door. Knocking on door and waiting for an answer should be a universal practice by all hospitality staff across any hospitality properties. Room was expensive for the size but it was centrally located and comfortable enough."
"The hotel is very centralised...minutes away from the train station and also walkable distance to all major sights. Good place for short stay. Only negative is that the room is small for 3 people and no lift. Difficult if u have big luggage to carry up....but overall it was a pleasant stay"
"For some odd reason, the room's heating was off when we checked in. It took 3h to worm up so we can get out again. While we were out the next day, cleaning stuff turned off the hearing once again?? We were frizzing as it was windy all the time. Great thing that there were free coffee and tees till noon 🥳"

Great
GGuest UserWe stayed at Novotel Amsterdam City in standard twin rooms for a family holiday (6 of us), and overall it was a great experience. Mr. Oman at the reception was super friendly and gave us a warm welcome during check-in. He also helped make sure all our requests were met; connecting rooms, 2 single beds, same floor, and next to each other. Really appreciated that! The only downside was one male receptionist (Middle Eastern-looking) who didn’t seem very welcoming. He was quite passive and seemed unwilling when I asked for help with temporarily storing our luggage.
GGuest UserI had an amazing stay with my partner in this hotel. :) Check-in was a breeze. All the front desk staff were so nice and lovely. One time, I ask if they have salt and pepper and they had unopened salt and pepper mills sent to the room. Room is big with plenty of amenities. Big closet storage with multiple hangers. Big mirror. Iron+ironboard. 2 hair dryers (1 in the closet drawer and 1 in bathroom). Big safe for valuables. Mini bar and coffee machine. Free bottle of water on each bedside. Bed is huge. Advertised as king sized but it is actually a super king! I had the best sleep every night as the bed was so comfortable. Had 4 huge pillows too. Big window too! The bathroom had a big bathtub, big mirror with good lighting. Will definitely stay here when we visit Amsterdam again. We also left our luggages for free when we checked out.
GGuest UserClose to the central railway station, but still a tough walking distance. Spacious room, cozy beddings, and bright lights. Amazing city and canal view facing the station and sunset. The higher floor, the better. Some furniture was worn and need to be fixed. The TV table is not well designed, and looks dangerous to kids or teenagers. Square-shaped pillows were first seen in hotels and not user friendly.
GGuest UserLocation: it's a great location because it's only a less than 10 minute walk from the Amsterdam Central station. It's so convenient. But the hostel entrance/reception is located inside a pub/restaurant. Personally I have no problem with this. I just find this interesting. There was also a security-looking guy standing at the entrance at night every day too, so it was pretty safe. Cleanliness: it was very clean. Every day someone took out the trash and cleaned the bathroom for us, which I didn't expect. They gave us a new, clean towel every day too. I really like these things about the hostel. Service: It depends on who you meet. The ladies that I talked to were all friendly and helpful. But there was a guy that was rather unhelpful and rude. I asked, ”Do you have data sim cards?” He said, ”No, we don't provide for that.” (Of course I knew the hostel didn't provide sim cards for free; I was asking if the hostel *sells* sim cards.) I asked, ”Do you know where I can get one? I can't get on the internet with the hostel wifi.” He said, ”There's no problem with the hostel wifi, otherwise a lot of people would be complaining about it.” (I wasn't complaining about the hostel wifi wasn't working; I was asking if he knew where I could get a sim card since I couldn't get on the internet to look for them.) Facilities: I like that there was a curtain on each bed. The bed and the room were also spacious enough. The windows were almost soundproof, isolating all the noises from the people drinking downstairs. The bathroom was also very clean. The only thing I didn't like was that there were brown stains on the blanket, which looked disgusting. There was also space for luggages (it's on the 2nd floor) if you don't want to store them in your room. There was, however, no kitchen or common areas. But the room was big enough and had a table. It was ok for me. One thing I really didn't like were the people who stayed in my room. All of them were obnoxious: wouldn't clean up after using the bathroom (hair everywhere), leaving their stuff in the bathroom/on the table so others couldn't use the space/table, kept coughing all night (meaning they were sick) and wouldn't open the windows for ventilation. I hardly had a good night's sleep because they kept coughing at night. But this wasn't the hostel's fault. It's those people's problems. All in all, I recommend staying at this hotel.
GGuest UserSolo travel from malaysia. Location wise, little bit further . Need to take ferry(free). But it’s cheap Hence, no complaint from me. Take note, need to pay for towel & tax upon check in 1 towel= 6€
GGuest UserThe location was effortless, close to everything yet calm enough to breathe after long meetings. The canals, the rhythm of bicycles, the soft sound of the city in the morning, everything seemed to move in harmony. The room was clean, warm, and simple in a way that felt grounding. After days filled with conversations and deadlines, returning to that space felt like a quiet reset. The staff were genuinely kind, always ready to help with a smile that made every interaction feel human. There is a sense of quiet care that you can feel, and it stays with you. Thank you Ibis Amsterdam for being more than a hotel. You were a pause, a reminder that even in the middle of business and movement, there is always space for stillness and heart.
GGuest UserLove the Vibes Teleport Hotel. Especially the wonderful owners..being very helpful and friendly the moment we entered the hotel. I feel her aura surely uplifts my tiredness after an overnight travel. But i wish they have coin laundry Bar or service.free storage luggage and updated events during our stay isa Plus.
GGuest UserThe best place I've ben staying so far from Amsterdam . modern design with historic charm, making it a standout choice for travelers looking for a stylish stay. The hotel features spacious rooms with comfortable beds and chic decor. Guests appreciate the lively atmosphere in the lobby, where they can enjoy great
