Wherever you go in Rotterdam, you’re never far from your XL bed and cloud-soft citizenM pillows. citizenM Rotterdam sits right by the Cube Houses and Old Harbour, surrounded by the city's best bars, boldest buildings and cultural gems. Step out to stroll around Markthal, grab a bite by the water, or hop on a tram at Blaak station just three minutes away – it’ll whisk you to Erasmus Bridge, Delfshaven or wherever the mood takes you. Back at the hotel, expect mood lighting, blackout blinds, Chromecast, and a smart tablet to control it all. There’s free Wi-Fi, world-class art, contactless check-in, and a stylish living room perfect for lounging, sipping or laptop-ing. When hunger strikes, canteenM is on hand 24/7 with food and drinks. With Rotterdam Centraal just 10 minutes away by train and the airport within a 20-minute drive, your perfect base for exploring the Netherlands starts here.
Big big issue is that you can’t reach this hotel by car. There is no proper drop-off zone near the entrance. The pedestrian space in front has small cobblestone-like pavement, very annoying if you’re arriving with big suitcases. They have underground parking for around 19 Euro per day, but don’t offer payment by duration. If you arrive by car in afternoon parking on the street or in public parking garages nearby is a cheaper option. The hotel itself is always great. I love the CitizenM brand. Always clean, always fresh, always a nice vibe and friendly staff.
NH Atlanta Rotterdam is just across the street from the Rotterdam World Trade Center and an easy walk to De Doelen Conference Center. For the rest of Rotterdam, hop on the metro at the close-by Beurs station. At night enjoy the bustling Stadhuisplein square with al fresco restaurants and bars. Lijnbaan is steps away for shopping. NH Atlanta Rotterdam is set in an Art-Deco style building right in the heart of the city. Guests can stay in one of the rooms or enjoy tea and coffee facilities and supermarket service at one of the 6 apartments. Some rooms offer a lovely view of Coolsingel Street and all have free Wi-Fi. NH Atlanta Rotterdam serves a fresh breakfast daily with a delicious, varied spread. The on-site Brasserie Atlanta restaurant offers international cuisine in an art-deco style dining room and an extensive selection of wines. Alternatively, enjoy authentic Chinese dishes at the Cantonese style Paramount Restaurant. For meetings and events there are 4 conference rooms and a roof garden.
The breakfast buffet is great! The staffs were nice and accomodating. I love the room!

Great
GGuest UserVery nice hotel just near a tram and metro access have a nice view and spa and a awesome gym !!
However be careful the road is quite noisy so prefer a room with ocean view. And it was quite cold during our stay the night and there was no option to turn on the heat.
Those two points were a bit disappointing due to the price of the hotel but else it was good
GGeoffchoiWe had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is great, close to all the major tourist attractions. Initially, we booked a room with our breakfast. The receptionist offered to upgrade us to executive room with breakfast and the room was immediately ready for our early check-in. The breakfast experience was very good. We were greeted by the head chef who did our dishes well. The only thing that did not go so well is the elevator maintenance. Of the two elevators one was under maintenance so the waiting time was quite long. But we were warned about this when we checked in.
DDee SparksConveniently located just 15 minutes from both the train station and the main shopping district, this hotel offers an ideal base for exploring the area. It stands out as one of the better options in its category, offering comfort and excellent service.
The staff are a true highlight – friendly, attentive, and responsive to all enquiries. A special mention goes to Merle, who went above and beyond to assist us with travel arrangements. Her warm and professional manner made a lasting impression.
One area for improvement is the breakfast offering. Guests with dietary restrictions or those who avoid meat and eggs may find the options somewhat limited. Expanding the menu to cater to a wider range of dietary needs would enhance the overall experience.
Overall, a highly recommended stay with thoughtful service and a prime location.
GGuest UserOur initial impressions were mixed. On one hand, we were impressed by the hotel’s atmosphere and the check-in staff were efficient and friendly. On the other hand, there were some “interesting” house rules displayed at front desk which made us question what type of people they have staying in the hotel and how they view/treat their customers.
The location is 10/10. 1 minute walk to Maashaven metro station, very centrally located and saved us lots of travelling time. More time for exploring!
The service was extremely mixed and inconsistent. The desk staff were lovely and kind. I needed late checkout at 5am and someone was there to deal with the matter quickly. However, the lady who appears to be the manager is cold and quite frankly rude. My partner became unwell on our last night and by 2pm he was better but still not 100%. I explained the situation and requested 1 extra hour as he got himself together. The member of staff I spoke with was very sympathetic and had to double check with the manager if we could stay the extra hour. Totally within their rights to say no, I understand that. The manager agreed. It’s the way she handled the matter - with absolutely no grace and no manners. She was evidently reluctant and did not directly address me at any point, she completely ignored me. Really bad customer service, especially in an already stressful situation. Please learn how to communicate with people or don’t work or sit at the front desk with your terrible attitude, bringing down the rest of the hard working, friendly front staff desk.
GGuest Usergreat hotel in scheme of things but i can’t lie quite scary and very weird! very good location very good amenities i can’t **** on anything but the fact that the vibe is strange lol. we chose this over further out hotel and as much as we were scared every time we left the room it was quite weird, we were in such a great location! no clue how to rate it it’s so mid but great sorry
RReeveer89We had a very pleasant stay at Motto’s. The room was compact (as in the descrilption when booking) but well organized, clean and with a big comfy bed. We slept very well. The staff was helpful and kind. The position is excellent near Blaak station, we reached almost every place we wanted to see by foot.
GGeiorgiestravelsThe location is convenient. I arrived by bicycle and was able to secure my bicycle the the racks in the square in front of the hotel. It is a 10-15 walk to central station, cube house, Oude Haven and other tourist sites. There is shopping precinct and major supermarket 10 min walk away. I went to a concert at de Doelen which was next to central station so easy to get to. I recommend doing to 15 min walk to the waterfront and getting the water taxi from Erasmusbrug as a cheap way to do a river cruise … the water taxi even goes all the way to Kinderdjik , the famous windmill area.
I stayed in the triple female only room. The was one other roommate with whom I had no problems. The room felt spacious. Each bed had its own light and charging point. There were no curtains though the board with the lamp and charging point acted as a privacy shield. Bedding is laid out on the bed and you make the bed yourself. Comfy bed. There were several showers and toilets located in the corridor as well as separate sinks. The shower had hot water …. Is the type you press the button to 30 seconds of water then press again which helps conserve water. Bring your own towel or hire one.
Rooms have keycard access. You need your own padlock for the locker in the room. The locker will not fit a big suitcase though my carryon sized luggage fitted ok. I was on the top floor in an annex type area where it was very quiet. I had no issues with cleanliness though I did notice an empty drinks container in the toilet for a couple of days.
There is a small area near reception with seating and small tables where it is possible to sit and eat your own food. There is a small kitchenette area with one fridge, kettle, microwave ,air fryer and a hot plate. Using the hotplate for foods such as pasta, rice, boiling eggs is permitted but not frying nor cooking smelly foods. It is very helpful to be able to use these resources for quick food prep, though keep in mind that you may need to wait at meal times and utensils are limited. There appeared to be some people living there who had their own cooking utensils.
Like many places in the Netherlands there is a steep staircase to get in, so even though there is a lift to get to the different floors, the first staircase will be a hurdle for those with a large suitcase.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay again.
DDua @ LuaWe stayed at Le Marin Boutique Hotel during our trip to Rotterdam. While the hotel is not far from Rotterdam Centraal, first-time visitors should plan their route in advance. We initially followed Apple Maps, which led us on a longer path, but there's actually a more direct route.
The hotel is situated in a quiet neighborhood, offering a peaceful environment. It's within walking distance to Chinatown, where you can find various dining and shopping options.
We appreciated the spaciousness of our room, which provided a comfortable space to relax after a day of exploring. The decor is stylish, with a marine theme and dark tones that add a cozy ambiance.
However, some guests have noted that rooms can feel smaller than expected, and the dark interior may not appeal to everyone. Additionally, sound insulation between rooms could be improved, as footsteps from upstairs can be heard.
The hotel offers a breakfast buffet with a variety of options, though some guests felt it lacked certain basics. On the positive side, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel's location makes it convenient to explore the city.
Overall, Le Marin Boutique Hotel provides a comfortable stay with a unique atmosphere, suitable for travelers seeking a tranquil environment close to the city's attractions.
GGuest UserThe room was decent but unfortunately the window was right above the entrance as everyone is smoking right under it, so don't think about opening the window.
We arrived and there was a sock on the smoke alarm, went downstairs to notify reception and another customer told us it had been there when he stayed days back. Clearly people smoking in rooms, but we couldn't smell it much so that's a plus. The reception staff came to take it down swiftly but it should have been caught way earlier by the cleaning staff!
The bathroom was nice. WiFi worked great in rooms as well.
GGuest UserOk let's start with Abigail ( hope spelling is correct) She was delightful. Checked me in and gave me several pointers for where to go, what to see and directions. Other staff there hangIng out also a great tour guide, sorry did not exchange names. The room was good. Only the shower was rough to enter with the glass door opening only part way. Was noted when I checked out to repair. But soo much walkable places close to eat and drink.
