Not close to the train station or lift station. Requires a pretty good uphill walk. About 15-20 min walk uphill from train station, and about 10-15 min walk from the ski lift/gondola. But once you get there, the location is beautiful. The hotel does offer a shuttle/e-car/bus transport. It's quiet, overlooks the town, views of the mountains, perfect secluded space. Hotel is clean, rooms are beautifully designed, compact but functional. Beds are comfortable, loved the rooms. We had a family room which was perfect for our family of four. The family room consists of two separate rooms across from each other in the hallway. In the hallway, there was a private entrance that brought you into the space where the two rooms were located. We loved this, because it turned our hallway between the two rooms into a foyer. Service was attentive and detailed. Loved the welcome beverage at check-in - nice touch, set the tone for the rest of the stay. Bar was cute and menu was creative. Patio deck restaurant was a perfect place for lunch. Amazing view of town and mountains, outdoor kitchen. Restaurant was great - food and service were wonderful. Breakfast was lovely. We do wish they would have changed up a couple things each day, because it was the same thing every day. Pool/Spa area was amazing. It had everything - sauna, steam room, plunge pool, two lounge pools, hot tub, showers. Caution: remember we are in Europe, some people may enter some of the facilities nude. We are personally not accustom to that, so it was definitely a little alarming for our children to see grown adults around naked. It would not be a bad idea for the hotel to have a policy around nudity or at least warn guests at check-in, on the website, or with signage. Wengen was our favorite place we visited on our tour of Switzerland, will be back, and when we come back it will be at this hotel.

wind0329Great location, just a 2-minute walk from the train station, and right outside is the bus terminal. I arrived in the morning and was able to store my luggage first. The hotel also provided a free bus pass. The room facilities are excellent, and there's even a balcony where you can see snow-capped peaks on a clear day. Breakfast was also very good. The only downside is the shower/bathtub design; the glass screen only covers about 30% of the tub, and the seal at the bottom isn't tight, so a lot of water splashes out when you shower, leaving a large wet area on the floor.

Anonymous UserRight next to Wengen station, very convenient for moving around the Jungfrau area. The village itself was beautiful and peaceful, with amazing mountain views everywhere.
We had a room with mountain view as well, which made the stay feel extra nice. The room itself was quite standard, but overall still a good stay.

The Aarburg Hotel & CafĂ© is a charming little spot in Interlaken, just a 15-minute walk from Interlaken West train station. While itâs tempting to take the shortcut, Iâd recommend sticking to the main road, especially in snowy weatherâitâs much easier for pulling luggage.
Check-in was smooth and efficient, but do note there are no lifts in this cozy hotel. Carrying heavy bags up the narrow stairs was a bit of a workout, so pack light if you can.
One of the highlights of my stay was definitely the coffeeâit lived up to all the glowing Google reviews. Breakfast was simple but wholesome, with fresh bread, croissants, yogurt, and healthy toppings like dried berries, almonds, and chia seeds. The cafĂ© is pet-friendly, so donât be surprised to see a few furry friends around.
The room itself was modest but comfortable. However, as the building is wooden, sounds tend to carry. We wondered if we were bothering other occupants but thankfully, no complaints! The location is peaceful, away from the main road, though the church bells that sound at intervals through the night was a little disturbing on the first night.
With a supermarket near the train station for quick snacks and essentials, this hotel is both convenient and quiet. Perfect for couples looking for a laid-back stay. Iâd happily book here again if I return to Interlaken.

æ柶çæšThe helpful reviews are accurate. Awesome room view and great service from all staff. We have two adults and one child and they connected two single beds and provided and extra bed. I would say just book (level 4 lifestyle room) with a peace of mind and do remember to bring your own toiletries.

The location is great, close to the bus stop and also near the CLOY lake in Iseltwald. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the heater works perfectly. The owner was very welcoming. Excellent!

Dan_ZhouThis hotel is right next to Wengen train station, making it super convenient, and it's also very cozy and charming. When we arrived at 11 PM, the front desk attendant was incredibly patient with us. We later found out the kettle in our room wasn't working, but they responded immediately and fixed it on the spot.
The hotel breakfast had a decent variety, and the restaurant itself is genuinely beautiful, haha. We booked dinner there one evening, and it cost us 160 CHF for two. Both the service and the food were impeccable. The waiter even let us, who know nothing about wine, sample a few reds.
The view from the window is absolutely stunning, though it does depend a bit on the weather.
We had a very enjoyable two-night stay!

Sandy PoohWe stayed for 2 nights in end-April at the Hotel Rossli Interlaken and the experience was just amazing. We were impressed by the hospitality and kindness shown by the host Jean-Louis and his team. He went the extra mile by gifting us with a Swiss film made by himself and his friend on DVD and USB so we could take home the good memories of Swiss and share these with family.
The hotel is conveniently located in a quiet and safe neighborhood and close to the Interlaken West train station. There are a few good bars nearby the hotel and you can enjoy free coffee and tea in the hotel lounge any time of the day. We really love the warm ambiance of the hotel. Great job Jean-Louis and your fabulous team!

DUDHAT PARTH MAGANBHAIGreat Value & Perfect Base for Interlaken â Hotel Essential by DORITStayed at Hotel Essential by DORIT, it was exactly what we needed for exploring Interlaken.Location: 10/10. Youâre 3 min walk from Interlaken West station and right by Lake Thun. Super easy to catch trains to Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, or hop on a boat cruise. Tons of restaurants, Coop, and cafĂ©s within a 5 min walk. You canât beat it for convenience.Room: Clean, modern, and smartly designed. We had a Double Room and it made great use of space â comfortable bed, blackout curtains, and a surprisingly good shower with strong water pressure. Not huge, but perfect for travelers who are out all day. The views of the mountains from upper floors are a bonus.Cleanliness: Spotless. Housekeeping did a great job daily, and the whole property feels fresh and new. Breakfast: Simple but quality. Good coffee, fresh bread, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt, and fruit. The breakfast room is small but cozy, with big windows. For the price, itâs more than fair. Service: Check-in was smooth and staff were friendly + efficient. They gave solid tips for hikes and printed our train tickets when we asked. The self-check-in kiosk is also handy if you arrive late.Vibe: Minimalist Swiss design with a boutique feel. No pool or spa, but thatâs not why you stay here â youâre here to be out in the Jungfrau region all day. The common lounge area is great for planning routes or chilling with a coffee.Minor notes: Walls are a bit thin â we could hear doors closing at night. Also no elevator, so pack light if youâre on a higher floor. Street parking is limited, but the hotel helped us sort a public lot nearby.Overall: For the location, cleanliness, and price point, Hotel Essential by DORIT is hard to beat in Interlaken. Itâs unpretentious, modern, and lets you spend your money on experiences instead of the room. Would definitely stay again.Rating: 4.5/5 Perfect for: Couples, solo travelers, or anyone using Interlaken as a base for day trips.

Anonymous UserStayed at Hotel Toscana for 2 nights (Nov. 13-15, 2024). One issue we had was we lost a necklace. We were wearing scarves so my sister and I left 2 gold necklaces at the table. We didnât know there will be housekeeping as weâre only staying for 2 nights. All of us were out 10AM and went back 6PM. When we got back, 1 of the necklace was gone. We looked everywhere, under the mattress and bed, all sides of the table, inside the bathroom, and every side of the room, but it was gone. The receptionist was helful enough to check with her boss and the housekeeping but who would admit they stole something, right? I just hope whoever took it found a good use out of it. Other than that, the location is perfect, itâs within a walking distance (around 7-10min) to Interlaken West station. Lots of shops and restaurants in the area as well. The hotel room is equipped with kettle and glass cups, no mugs. No airconditioning unit but it was pretty cold during our stay so we just opened the window a bit and it was fine. It was a very quiet neighborhood with nice views of the mountain and people paragliding. The room looked clean the moment we entered, but while we were searching under the bed and tables, dust has piled up underneath, it was very dusty like it hasnât been cleaned for months and they only sweep the visible areas of the floor. The bathroom smelled like pee even before we used it. I hope they improve these parts, the hotelâs not that bad if youâve experienced staying there (in my opinion).
