New Hotels in Athens

"The first time I came to Athens, I chose this new hotel that opened at the end of 2025. I mainly liked its location in the city center. It was only a minute's walk from Omonia subway station. The subway went to Syntagma, Monastiraki, and Acropolis. Advantages: Super new, clean to bright The hotel is really new, elevators, corridors, lobby, rooms all The location is actually very convenient Although it is not a ”going out is an attraction” location like Plaka or Syntagma, it takes 15 minutes to walk to the lively Ermou shopping street, and the subway is three stops to the entrance of the Acropolis. It takes35-40 minutes to take a taxi to the airport. Breakfast level exceeded expectations The free breakfast buffet is not super variety, but the quality is very good. There are freshly cut fruits, Greek yogurt, various breads, egg areas (scrambled eggs, boiled eggs), Greek traditional pie, coffee machine freshly ground coffee. Small disadvantages (real feedback): Standard Room Space is not too big The two rooms are about 20-22㎡, and it is indeed a bit crowded after the extra bed, especially when the suitcase + children run around. The wardrobe is enough. If there is a lot of luggage, it will feel a bit cramped. No pool and gym Summary For a family of four, Great Athens Hotel is a very cost-effective choice, especially the new, clean, good service, reliable breakfast, which makes us very satisfied. Although the location is not the most core Plaka, it is made up by the subway and the overall stay is very comfortable. If you come to Athens next time, you will consider staying here again."

"First off, the location is fantastic – just 300 meters from Syntagma Square, and several major attractions are within walking distance! Right outside is a bustling commercial street, and it feels very safe. We stayed a total of four nights in two separate stays (the first two nights with my wife and kids in a connecting room, then three days on an island, and the last two nights I stayed alone in a king-size room after my wife and kids returned home). The M3 metro from Syntagma Square makes getting to and from the airport super convenient (we traveled to and from Athens airport multiple times for trips to Santorini, Crete, etc.). The only hiccup was this morning (the 28th) when I went to the airport, the M3 was on strike, so I had to quickly take a taxi! Secondly, the bedding and facilities were clean. Thirdly, the breakfast terrace offers unbeatable views, looking right out at the Acropolis, and the service is great – the front desk staff are very nice! The main area for improvement is that there's nowhere to hang towels or clothes in the shower room (I already mentioned this to the front desk guy). Hopefully, that will change by my next visit!"

"great staff, they helped in everything and they have been really friendly a we were travelling with an infant. Location is the beast close by to everything you can expect of. Daily cleaning and newly renovated. We asked a room with window to change the air and they suggested us to upgrade, we did on trip.com and it had been a good choice. Some noisy pub next door but it was okay after midnight."

"Because my first stay at this hostel was great, when I had to change my plan during my trip in Athens I came back this place. First time was a private room and this time I stayed in female dormitory. It was comfortable and I appreciate other guests were all considerate to others. The amenities available are so few. You better have your own toothbrush, face wash, etc. But over all love this place."

"Удобная и уютная квартира, новый ремонт, фотографии соответствуют и описанию. Два балкона, оба выходят на улицу. Расположение в 10 минутах от национального музея археологииии в 15 минутах от исторического центра (район Плака)- пешком. Идеальная чистота, приятный комплимент к номере в виде капсул для кофе машины и печенья. Матрас в спальне неудобный, как писали в других отзывах, а кровать скрипит. Про заселение очень важный и существенный для нас минус: накануне переписывалась с отелем и спросила про хранеие багажа, мне сказали, что после 10 часов можно оставить багаж. Однако меня в письме не оповестили о том, что вход в Апарт отель по пин-коду, и заранее не прислали этот код. В день заезда мне пришлось трезвонить в дверь и бегать вокруг в поисках хоть кого-то, кто бы мне помог - дверь с вывеской названия отеля была закрыта, никто не открывал и никого рядом не было, хотя , повторюсь, что переписка с отелем по моей Инциативе была более чем за день до заезда. В итоге мне помог парковщик, оказалось, что пин от двери был выслан в вотсап в этот же день, а я была в дороге и интернета не было для того, чтобы получил это сообщение (и предупреждения не было). Нужно присылать такую информацию заранее. Мы стояли на улице минут 20-30 с ребенком (хорошо, что дождя не было), пока я разбиралась и пыталась попасть внутрь. Остальное всё отлично. Трансфер до аэропортапомогли организовать, чудесный приехал водитель заранее, все написал, был очень внимателен. Фото - музей в 10 минутах ходьбы."

"It was a seamless stay during my trip in Athens at this service apartment type hotel. Was able to get an early check-in by calling them the day before the stay to see if is available (usually 1-2 hours before 3PM check-in is accepted). As are no physical reception desk in the lobby, we were prompted to download an app one day before the trip as it is for hotel main entrance and room entrance.  The hotline is very helpful and reliable. The room feels modern and nice with a TV per room with bar area and good furnishing. The sofa bed was comfortable. Just keep in mind that there might be an issue on the hot water as the amount is good for three use max. The surrounding area might seem dodgy on google streetview but it turned out to be the opposite as family would come out at night around that area. Also the weekend is alive with the night bars and music events there (not too noisy)."

"The hotel is located in the Chinese trade area, there are many Chinese shops and Chinese restaurants nearby, 10 minutes walk from the subway station, 28 minutes walk from the Acropolis, the room is a bit small, no toothbrush."
