Amazing
11326121****This hotel has a great location, nice rooms, excellent service, and a fantastic breakfast. I highly recommend this choice. Location: Take the X95 bus from the airport to Syntagma Square (€4.50), which is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is also within a 20-minute walk of most attractions, including the Acropolis, the old streets, and the Olympic Stadium. Luxury shops and Greece's best shopping malls are just a 5-minute walk away. Breakfast: A set menu. You only need to specify how you want your eggs cooked. Everything else, including bread, yogurt, fruit, and a drink, is provided. We chose coffee and orange juice. The yogurt was incredibly thick and delicious with honey. Reserve at least half an hour for breakfast to start the day feeling refreshed. Room: The layout is very well-designed, easily accommodating two suitcases. The double bed is about 1.8 meters long and the bedding is comfortable, considered large for Europe. As the hotel is new, the room was also fresh and clean. A large bottle of water was provided on the first day, while smaller bottles, like milk cartons, were refilled on the second day. More is available upon request. There is also a kettle in the room.

GGuest UserHighlights: beautiful views of acropolis and surrounding area from rooftop bar/restaurant space (also where breakfast served), buffet of good standard and restaurant staff very polite and a credit to the hotel. Improvements: reception staff generally very helpful but one particular staff member was not forthcoming with information/recommendations for restaurants/ details regarding late check out - we were always referred to come back later/following day to reception to ask someone else; when same questions asked later to a different member of staff, they were more than happy to help with all enquiries. Room: no ‘do not disturb’ sign available, housekeeping knocked on room at 9am every day, which woke us up; also housekeeping entering room after knocking on door without waiting for guests to respond; need some adjustments to respect privacy or guests; hotel corridors are very stuffy even in winter time Overall: a very pleasant stay

BBananaJHigh standard service. Professional chain brand hotel. Breakfast was nice. A lot of options. Rooms spacious and bed very comfortable. It was just that the hotel is very old, needs a renovation.

GGuest UserGlobally good experience, thanks to the staff, specially Michael. 1st person you see when arriving and the last you see when leaving. Taxi drivers respect him and don't mess with your fare when booked by him 🤣 They told us we had and upgrade in superior room but we didn't see the difference with the essential room. AC wasn't working properly and the rare international tv chanels in English-speaking or French-speaking were barely working. Too bad we can't use the gym 24h, knowing it's at the lowest level in the hotel. Could help with insomnia. For the standing, we hoped more, Obviously, it's the old one we picked up. Still it's a nice place to be

GGuest UserReview for NYX Esperia Palace Athens – Luxurious Stay with a Few Caveats We stayed at NYX Esperia Palace Athens for four full days – two couples, each in an Executive Suite with access to the business lounge. The welcome was warm and efficient, and we received our rooms exactly at 3:00 PM, as per hotel policy. The suites were clean, stylish, and well-equipped with amenities such as disposable toothbrushes, shaving kits, loofahs, a hairdryer, and more. One of our suites, located on the 7th floor, even had a partial view of the Acropolis, which was a lovely bonus. The room’s climate, lighting, and curtains were all operated through digital controls, designed to pamper guests — although, in practice, they were not very intuitive and required a bit of trial and error. For instance, turning off the bedside light required getting up and walking to a control panel. The TV included Israeli channels (11, 12, and 13), which we appreciated. Breakfast on the 10th floor was excellent, offering a wide variety of high-quality options, and the waiter service was above average. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional care provided by Ilia, the hotel's Public Relations Manager. She guided us almost from the moment we arrived until we left — recommending excellent tavernas, booking taxis, restaurants, and arranging a private guided tour. On our last day, we were also warmly greeted by Dionysia in the lounge — charming and attentive. That said, there were some drawbacks: Reception service was inconsistent – not all staff members were welcoming; some appeared cold or offered forced smiles. The business lounge was disappointing – small, crowded, with modest food and drink offerings and uninspiring seating. It felt more like a repurposed room than a proper lounge. The pools require advance reservation, with no room for spontaneity. Usage hours are segmented (e.g., 1–4 PM or 4–7 PM), and spots after 7 PM are very limited. The rooftop pool area is crowded, and the adjacent restaurant is also open to non-guests. Rooftop restaurant experience: One evening we returned from a night out and hoped to enjoy a drink with a view. Although two front-row tables overlooking the Acropolis were available, we were initially told they were reserved. Minutes later, we were informed we could sit there for a €25 minimum spend per person. The sudden shift from ”reserved” to ”available for a price” was off-putting — especially as hotel guests staying in suites. The guided tour recommended by the hotel involved nearly 4 hours of driving during a 5-hour trip, leaving us with very little time at each stop. We suggest skipping it. Bottom line: The hotel is modern, very clean, and the suites are luxurious. Service is mostly excellent, particularly thanks to Ilia and Dionysia. However, don't count on spontaneous access to the pool or rooftop restaurant — enjoying those requires planning ahead, much like booking a theater show. If you value well-designed suites and structured experiences, this hotel may be a great fit. If you’re looking for flexibility and full-day pampering from hotel facilities — you might find it a bit limiting.

Yyp1017The room is large and quiet. The service is very good and luggage can be stored for free. The biggest highlight is that you can see the Acropolis and the whole view of Athens from the 7th floor of the hotel. It is so shocking and so cool…

GGuest UserOverall, this Hotel was good, friendliness in particular! Though we just stayed there for one nite (would have to get on board the cruise the following morning), the Receptionist, Efie was very helpful in telling us how we could get to the port and went extra miles in sorting out the transport details for us. Also, the breakfast there was satisfactory - though the food variety was just so so, the staff was very efficient in refilling, thus, all hot stuffs were found tasty. As for the room, it was clean and tidy. The cleanliness of the bathroom was praiseworthy (I know too well that I'm very particular on the toilet hygiene standard)。 If I would re-visit Athens of Greece, this Hotel will receive my priority consideration.

YYazixiaojiejieThis hotel is in a great location, convenient for shopping and directly accessible by X95. The breakfast is short but high-quality, and includes complimentary Korres toiletries. However, there are a number of issues: 1. If you choose the cheapest room, there's almost no view, the window faces the hotel interior, and the room is noisy and musty. 2. The hotel's sheets are extremely dirty, perhaps due to the high customer traffic, which may have led to poor service. It's a bit underrated for a five-star rating. After our conversation, there was no apology, just a simple note – it's an option, but definitely not the best.

MMazen KhamisThe staff in the hotel are extremely lovely and they try their best to make the trip as enjoyable as possible. Matina is wonderful and just brings a smile to my face everytime I enter and exit the hotel. Elina was so kind to extend my checkout time despite the hotel being fully booked. Last but not least, the breakfast staff were so patient and always polite and lovely. Otherwise of course the hotel requires maintenance and the area is too crowded as any populated city, so if you go with the right expectations you will enjoy your trip, otherwise if you have high expectations I recommend booking somewhere else.
