"Staff were nice and friendly, location is great and beds comfy (pillows a bit on the hard side for my taste), bug overall a good sleep.  The breakfast is basic but ok, croissants and muffins are good but the sausages looked quite reheated and scrambled eggs were quite rubbery. I opted to have toast, fruit and yoghurt and not the cooked breakfast as I did not enjoy it.  I was surprised there is no mini fridge or safe in the room, nor hair conditioner or body lotion. But I forgot my tooth paste and they did provide some so that was good."

"The hotel is very close to the station, so it was not difficult even with my carrier. The hotel staff was very friendly and tried to provide me with good service. The hotel room was nice, but the shared bathroom was inconvenient. Of course, there weren't many guests and it wasn't crowded, so I didn't have any inconvenience in using the bathroom, but it was a little inconvenient to have to leave the room to use the bathroom. Other than that, the hotel breakfast was good, and everything else was good."

The neighbourhood of adaptation, inspiration and contemplation Perched on the River Exe, the historic centre of Exeter was once described as the Jewel of the West. In the heart of the city centre, Hotel Indigo Exeter has been lovingly restored and converted from its department store origins. This hotel was once the home of Colson’s, a department store opened in 1792 by local milliner Mrs. Colson, who became one of the cities most loved characters. From Colsons to Dingles, to House of Fraser, and now Hotel Indigo Exeter. Staying true to its roots the hotel takes its design inspiration from the building’s department store past and other notable neighbourhood sites as each of the 104 rooms are styled to honour elements of the city. With luxury amenities like Egyptian cotton linens, spa-inspired bathrooms, and 40-inch flatscreen TVs, this is the perfect place to explore the sights and sounds of the city.

"Dinner and B’fast is good in term of quality and staff friendliness but few unpleasant experiences during the stay happened 1. Rooms nearby possible is family with few rooms together as whole night is keep the door banging noise in and out 2. The bath room door cannot close properly maybe the door hinges is a bit loosing 3. Smoke detector activated at around 11:00 for around 1 min, and I found that it is a testing but no one informed in advance upon check in or guest letter in room until I approached to the housekeeper and clarified 4. Started in the morning around 10am, housekeeping staff start cleaning the rooms nearby but the door keep banging banging more than 20 times, it is really annoying 5. Cleanliness, few hair found in the washroom basin and one piece on the duvet cover In conclusion, hotel location is good, staff friendly but the hardware and fire alarm is really made my stay unpleasant"

"What a gem! Stayed 1 night in this amazing accommodation after attending a wedding locally. Room and bathroom very clean, lovely cotton sheets, comfortable bed. Breakfast was included and was wonderful! Cooked options, cereals, toast, etc. Orders were taken and served by the waiter who was fun and quick to have a joke! The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful as were all the staff including the lovely cleaner who prepares the rooms. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and would happily stay much longer and explore the local area. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay."

"Our superior king room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Very large bathroom too with a large bath and separate shower cubicle. Bed was very comfortable and the room had lovely views. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. We drove to the hotel from the A38 to the hotel and the lanes were narrow (as are many lanes in Devon and Cornwall) but the drive through Haldon Forest was beautiful. We drove out the other way through Ide village onto the A30 which was a bit wider! Would definitely stay again."

"Behind it is David Church and a small tombstone. It is indeed a bit scary to arrive at night, but I participated in church activities during the day and understood the local culture. I also felt very interesting. I will pass through the cemetery in order to take a shortcut in the next few days."
