"The hotel is directly opposite Venice's Santa Lucia train station (SMN), making it incredibly convenient – you just cross the road after exiting the station. The hotel itself is a bit old, and the facilities are showing their age. Breakfast was a typical Italian cold cuts spread. We stayed one night; on the first day, we headed straight to the main island for a look around, which was a quick 10-minute train ride for 1.5 Euros. The next day, after checking out, we left our luggage and explored the outer islands, but there really wasn't anything much to see there."

"Hotel facilities are good, the price is cheap, it is okay to the standard of the youth hostel, the hotel staff is very friendly, but the public bathing place is relatively narrow, and there is no bathing supplies, but this price is acceptable "

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to both bus stops and the train station. There are also plenty of dining options nearby, which is very convenient. The breakfast was decent, but there's room for improvement."

"Overall, I'm very satisfied! The only minor issue is that the bus from the city's train station to the hotel stops running at 9 PM, which is quite early. A taxi wasn't too expensive, costing 15 Euros.
However, there's a convenient direct bus service between the main island and the train station. You can buy bus tickets at the hotel front desk; I recommend buying a couple extra. Otherwise, it can be a hassle if the ticket machines in the city are broken or there are long queues.
Breakfast was quite good, but the windows couldn't be opened, so I kept seeing dust and lint floating around in the room. This seems to be a common problem with hotels where you can't open the windows."

"The room was spacious and the heating worked very well. The key was unique, but the facilities were a bit old. The shower curtain didn't really keep the water in, so the bathroom floor got very wet. The courtyard next to the room was quite nice. Room 509 is actually on the ground floor. I also got bitten by mosquitoes at night, but luckily I managed to kill them quickly.
The front desk had a peculiar process: when I checked in, they asked for my credit card to register the number. The next day when I checked out, I inquired about it and was told it was to prevent guests from forgetting to pay city taxes or other fees after leaving. They also assured me that the card information would be deleted later and not to worry."

"The location is quite convenient, about a 10-15 minute walk to the train station, and there are bus stops nearby.
There's no kettle, and all drinks in the mini-fridge, including a 500ml bottle of mineral water, cost 1.5 euros. The tray only has two glass cups, with no free coffee or tea for brewing. Even though I never use them, their absence makes the hotel seem cheap. The only saving grace was that the restaurant staff downstairs were very nice and willing to fill my thermos with hot water. There was only toilet paper, no facial tissues. This is the stingiest four-star hotel I've ever stayed in.
I had already paid the full room rate, but upon check-in, they insisted on scanning my passport and credit card together for their records. Luckily, I had covered my security code beforehand. I don't understand why this rundown place needed to keep a credit card on file, probably for those overpriced drinks in the fridge? I'd been traveling for ten days, and all other hotels only required an additional city tax payment. This old-fashioned place was the only one that insisted on a credit card deposit."

"A&O Venezia is located ~10 minutes from the train station and also ~5 minutes from the bus stop which takes you to the main island.
Large building with a large working space and bar and offers free baggage storage which is nice of them.
The bed is comfortable and big and the room is clean with air-con.
The bed also has a small rack to place items and has both a charger and wall plug. However, the built-in charger seems out of date as it doesnt seem to have tje voltage to charge smartphones. So the wall plug is the only charging appliance.
The toilet is clean and the shower comes with body wash + shampoo.
However, it seems that there is a leak somewhere for the flooring. The whole toilet becomes wet after a shower and there is also a slight unpleasant smell."

"The hotel is refurbished considering all the old building architecture of the city. Room is clean, modern and decent size, but the bed board is torn and sadly, not repair. Staff is helpful and responsive whenever I WhatsApp them.
The way to the accommodation is interesting and feels like a maze, u will get use to it after awhile. Night time is abit dark along the way but there is auto light in the front porch.
Overall I enjoy the space & amenities like vanity kit they provide as compared to other hotels I stayed in other parts of Italy. And I personally prefer modern rooms instead of old looking ones."

"The room was big and spacious; there was a double bed and a set of twin beds. There were two small balconies from which you could see the national library. The toilet was ok, the shower would flood and there was a wooden beam kinda hanging loose. Unfortunately, the room is not soundproof and you can hear the noise from the upstairs and neighbouring rooms (especially the toilet noises)."

"The hotel's location is excellent, just a 2-minute walk from Santa Lucia train station, making it very convenient for trips to Rome and Florence. There are also many boat terminals nearby for scenic boat tours, so transportation is a breeze. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming, and they even provided a free map of Venice. The morning service staff were attentive and thorough. Breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options. The room was clean and well-equipped with plenty of power outlets (though adapters are needed). The central air conditioning provides both heating and cooling. The bathroom was spacious with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Besides shampoo and shower gel, they also provided body lotion, which was a very thoughtful touch. The heated towel rack was a fantastic detail, ensuring warm towels every time – they really think of the guests! The entire room was very spacious, and the facilities were brand new. The family suite has a unique design and can accommodate four people, offering good privacy."
