"Amazing room, price is high but not compared to others in the region, you get shampoo slippers and everything you need. Receptionists are lovely the bed was slightly crooked but very comfy, the bad reviews scared me but it was really really amazing. The location is insanely good"

"This was one of the most expensive hotel we have paid for during our Italy trip but the one with the worst check-in experience. As we saw reviews on Google that luggage has been stolen before with no camera to track, we wanted to lock our 2 luggages together for storage as the room was not ready. But the hotel staff became really defensive and did not allow us to do so, claiming that it’s difficult for him to handle for storage. The hotel even provided a slip that hotel declines all responsibilities of baggages. They do not want to bear responsibilities yet did not allow us to take basic precautions with our belongings. After sometimes debating with the reception and the staff, they finally allowed us to do so but gave really black faces even when we try to take picture of our luggages in the lobby. Upon returning from our long day of walk, the positive note is that the reception and the staff handling our luggages have a much more positive attitude and were more helpful. There were a lot of small stairs to our room so the staff assisted with the luggages. The main good thing is that this hotel is really near to Venezia Santa Lucia station and you do not need to carry luggages for a long distance across bridges. Facility is actually quite old and basic but at least clean. Breakfast view next to canal is good. Recommend for a short 1 night stay at Venice but we will likely not return again."

"A&O Venezia is located ~10 minutes from the train station and also ~5 minutes from the bus stop which takes you to the main island. Large building with a large working space and bar and offers free baggage storage which is nice of them. The bed is comfortable and big and the room is clean with air-con. The bed also has a small rack to place items and has both a charger and wall plug. However, the built-in charger seems out of date as it doesnt seem to have tje voltage to charge smartphones. So the wall plug is the only charging appliance. The toilet is clean and the shower comes with body wash + shampoo. However, it seems that there is a leak somewhere for the flooring. The whole toilet becomes wet after a shower and there is also a slight unpleasant smell."

"1. This stay with friends completely exceeded my expectations! The room was spotless, the bedding was very comfortable, and we slept very well that night. The location is very convenient, and the owner was very welcoming and responsive to any questions. The facilities were complete, and the overall experience was fantastic. 2. My biggest takeaway from the stay was how comfortable and hassle-free it was! The cleanliness was superb, the environment was quiet and peaceful, and my friends all praised our choice. The service was attentive, with prompt answers to any questions, and the facilities were all new and complete. I would definitely consider this place again next time!"

"The room was big and spacious; there was a double bed and a set of twin beds. There were two small balconies from which you could see the national library. The toilet was ok, the shower would flood and there was a wooden beam kinda hanging loose. Unfortunately, the room is not soundproof and you can hear the noise from the upstairs and neighbouring rooms (especially the toilet noises)."

"Staff were friendly, rooms weren’t clean - but were tidy. Our room had a lot of dust around all the light fittings, mould in the corners of the ceilings and generally old decor. Fridge in the room was plugged in and on but wasn’t not actually keeping anything cold. Air conditioning does not work properly either - it only pumps out hot heat despite being on cold. Show screen not properly fitted so a constant gap between the screen and bath meant having a shower resulted in the bathroom floor getting pooled with water.  Good location, nice staff and ok rooms."

"The male receptionist's attitude was a bit mediocre, but the hotel really offers good value for money. For 500 RMB a night in Europe, with breakfast included, and the rooms being relatively new and in a good location, it's quite a find. If you're visiting Venice, this place is definitely an option. The breakfast isn't really tailored to Asian tastes, but it's decent enough to fill you up. It wasn't as good as the slightly more expensive hotel I stayed at, but it definitely did the job."

"The hotel is of a relatively high standard among four-star hotels. We booked a loft room and our family of three lived very comfortably. The breakfast standard was also very high, with a wide selection of bread, cake, cheese, ham, and fruit, and the service was also very good. However, since it was my first time in Venice, I didn't know that taxis couldn't go directly to the hotel, so I walked 1.2 kilometers with my luggage up and across the bridge, which was very tiring. I knew I could take a boat when I left, so everyone should plan well."

"I highly recommend this hotel! It's incredibly close to the train station – literally a 5-minute walk. You don't have to cross any bridges or lug your bags around (apart from the station steps themselves). We booked a river view room and the scenery was lovely; I took photos of the view from the window, and it had a different charm both at night and in the morning. You can even soak up the sun while lying in bed! The room was very functional and had everything we needed. The breakfast area also had a great view, and the breakfast itself was decent for Italy, though our Hunan palates aren't quite used to it. The lady at the front desk was so incredibly nice! This trip was a bit rushed, and we only stayed one day, but if I ever come back to Venice, I'll definitely choose this hotel again."

"Honestly, I didn't expect to find such a great hotel at this price, and it even included breakfast – incredible value for money! The location was the absolute best part. It's only a five or six-minute walk from the train station, which was a huge relief when traveling with heavy luggage – so convenient for anyone on the go! Staying off the main island meant better prices and a quieter, more comfortable experience without the crowds. The breakfast far exceeded my expectations. There was a wide variety of food, they refilled dishes quickly, and everything tasted great – I was completely satisfied. The room decor was simple and practical, clean, and tidy, making for a very comfortable two-night stay. I have to praise the hot water system; it heated up fast and the temperature was stable, making for a fantastic shower experience. If you're looking to save money, save effort, and enjoy a comfortable stay in Venice, this place is definitely the right choice!"
