Spa Hotels in Montreal

I love this hotel nestled in the heart of Old Montréal and Old Port. I had a great room with a wonderful corner view of Old Montréal, it’s rooftops, the Grande Roue and the little cafes and boutiques below. Room is very comfortable. I love the long modern working desk, the comfy lounge chair, plush bedding and above all the spa multi jet shower… Because of pandemic restrictions most of the amenities of the hotel were not accessible. The hotel has such a nice lounge and bar area but I couldn’t go there. The gym was also off limits. There is an outdoor courtyard that was advertised as open even in the winter with fire pits but it wasn’t accessible during my stay. My only complaint would be that my room was drafty but I also stayed on one of the coldest weekends of the year and I could adjust the heat in the room. I asked for a throw blanket to cuddle in while reading in the lounge chair. They brought me the cuddliest faux fur blanket, I was almost thankful for the draft. Can’t wait for my next opportunity to stay here. In my opinion, this hotel is more geared towards adults (solo/business/couples/adult getaways) rather than families with young children. It has a high-end, modern, chic vibe. However, I’m quite sure they would accommodate children too. Photos don’t do the view justice. They were taken during a snow storm with poor visibility. Under normal conditions, was really nice and at night, so beautiful with all the lights and illuminated Grande Roue.

It’s really a wonderful experience. People there are warm-hearted and the food will also amaze you. Attach the pics of food for your reference.

The location of the hotel is very good. It is very convenient to go everywhere. There are many restaurants downstairs nearby where you can eat. There is also a large swimming pool upstairs in the hotel. There is a pool restaurant next to it where you can order food and drinks!

We had a great stay. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable, with a really cool view overlooking the airport. The location is unbeatable, especially for an early morning flight. Being directly connected to the terminal made everything smooth and stress free. Since we had to leave before breakfast service started, the hotel kindly provided us with a breakfast box. That thoughtful attention to detail made a big difference and made the start of our long journey much more pleasant. Overall, a very convenient and comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend it for anyone flying out of Montreal.

My sister and I just finished visiting my son in Toronto and we decided to visit Montreal. We booked 2 rooms. We had a terrible experience at Royal York Fairmont . We got kicked out from the lobby lounge by Karen over there for voicing our concern for the service being slow. For we had absolutely low expectations for QE. When we checked in there were 3 staff at the counter. 2 of them were engaged in their friendly conversation and one of them stepped up to help us. I thought that was totally unprofessional for the staff chatting among themselves in front of guests. Rooms are basic and clean. The location is central. The staff has showed no warmth and attention. In Asia a hotel of this level will greet u warmly and the better one will remember your name. Services at restaurants in Montreal are top notch. We visited some with long history and the staff took pride to explain to us the history. It is a shame Fairmont has some of best historic buildings in Canada and the staff showed no interest to highlight the history of the buildings. I travelled a lot for me to earn a diamond member here. I will avoid staying at Fairmont and any of their member hotels from now on.

Overall is a good stay. What I am not too convinced is the billing process. This booking is pay later(not allow to select) and credit card require for booking. Somehow, the hotel charge my credit card and cancel it the same day which resulted fee incur(exchange rate +fee ~ 8%) for master card which I have to ask for wavier from bank. During check in, I specially requested to change to a Visa card, the visa card been charge $1 and verified. But but but, the hotel instead of charging to the new card, it charge to the old card every night(note: we stay 5 nights)….Again, receptionist told me I can do it during check up and they cannot do anything as that the way of hotel billing which forcing me to BLOCK my master card to reducing the possibility of conversion fee from the bank. What I cannot understand is why not do it once during my check out day instead of charging it daily(pending)….plus the pending status never get cancel after 2 wks….and why cannot remove my old card information

Location good and clean. But reception lady was impolite, seems not happy working there or do not like you not speaking French, never smile n the attitude do not respect to customers. I requesting to add hotel members no, she said no benefits received even update for me, and don’t want to do it, like please do not bother me. But when I checked in Marriott in falls n Toronto before going to Montreal, they both asked me the number n do it for me even no benefits if I booked through trip.com, both Marriott staff service are super nice n professional. They both asked me not requesting by myself. And the cleaning lady knocked my door for cleaning at 10am on the day I checked out, it was strange as they should check my check out day and don’t bother me for cleaning. I requested a slippers and they said they are out of stock n will send me when available, I stay 3 nights but no one comes back . Disappointed service in such price, will not stay again.

Impressive hotel However the hot tub was not working and looked like it been out of order for a while They told me it broke last week and would be fixed by next week but based on others reviews I’m not sure that was truthful The restaurant was a hard pass - they are over crowded and could not accommodate me as a hotel guest

Excellent stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Montréal. The location is ideal, right in the heart of the city and close to the main attractions. Everything was perfect: comfortable room, impeccable cleanliness, welcoming staff, and quality services. I highly recommend this hotel and would happily return.

This hotel is a little gem in a super area of downtown Montreal. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable, with high-quality sheets and a good selection of comfortable pillows. A kitchenette made it very easy to pick up salads or snacks to refrigerate or reheat leftovers from a restaurant the night before. Breakfast is included and there’s a good selection of fruit, boiled eggs, smoked salmon, deli meats and yogurt. Cereals as well. While there were scrambled eggs, I tried them twice but not cooked to my taste. Having said that, there were fresh pastries and bagels, so a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon with some fruit served very well. This hotel is very walkable to Notre Dame, Place des Arts and several theatres and museums. Lots of great restaurants to suit anyone’s tastes. The subway is literally a 3-minute walk and in 10 minutes, you can be at the Jean Talon Market, which has a plethora of foods and drinks to suit anyone’s taste palate. I’d highly recommend Hotel and Spa Carre St. Denis and will definitely be back next time I visit Montreal.
