"Although the hotel has a long long history, but the room, common area, common facilities have been maintained fairly well. In very good location, close to Sogo. House cleaning is done well while we stayed there. Loved the gym, one of the very few hotels that I have stayed in with a proper size gym. Has kids play area, family friendly. Has in hotel massage and spa. Service is great, particularly the doormen, they were super helpful with our luggage and getting on and off taxis with our kid. Very reasonably priced. Also loved the in room popcorn snack. Attention to detail is great for me."

"Awesome! It even includes breakfast, which is a really great value for the price. 🥰 The TV has excellent sound, and the audio quality is superb. The bathtub is large and very clean! The soundproofing in the room is also excellent. 👍"

"Hotel is great overall, but beds are really hard surface type. The hotel feels like was last renovated / built some 20 or so years ago, which makes everything looks dated. However, in terms of cleanliness, service and location it is an excellent hotel (if you are ok sleeping on a hard bed). Staff is very helpful. We didn’t try spa or dining so cannot comment here. Location is good: it is not too far from central district yet if you’re driving (we did) you don’t have to drive through the most congested areas. There are a few excellent coffee places nearby. Many places around to eat."

"The overall experience of staying this time was good, the hotel was conveniently located and the surrounding life function was good. The counter staff is friendly and check-in and check-out are very efficient. The room is clean and tidy, the space is enough, and the quality of sleep is good. If you come back to this area later, you will consider staying again."

"We had a great stay at Freshfields Hotel in Taichung. The hotel is very clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, nicely maintained and very comfortable. While the location isn’t the most convenient, the hotel offers shuttle services that you can book in advance, which made getting around much easier. A heads-up for anyone planning to use the public baths: make sure to bring a swimming cap or shower cap, as well as a swimsuit. If you forget, you’ll need to purchase them at the hotel in order to use the facilities. Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable experience!"

"We took a relaxing trip to celebrate my parents' golden wedding anniversary. We checked in at 3 PM and went to the hot springs shortly after. Around 6 or 7 PM, we got hungry, and there was a decent buffet. Even though there were many tour groups, the food selection wasn't huge, but it was replenished quickly and the dishes were fresh. After lunch, we took a short walk, and then there was a wonderful concert at 8:30 PM. This time it was the Sirius Harmonica Ensemble. It was my first time hearing multi-part harmonica music, and their witty introduction was really great. The hour went by quickly, and the grand finale was a stargazing performance. Although the clouds were thick, the moon was still shining, and with the help of the Star Walk 2 app, we didn't get back to our room until 11 PM. The next day, breakfast at 7 AM was also satisfying. We went for a walk in the nearby campsite, but unfortunately, the ginkgo and maple trees were still green. We saw cherry salmon, swans, and enjoyed some shaved ice before heading back down the mountain, completely satisfied. There wasn't much traffic this time, so going up and down the mountain was smooth, thanks to the good weather. The hotel was great, and my parents and I were very happy."
