"Came to the hotel to watch the rockets. Booked a tower-view room, and the butler was excellent, always ready to help. The hotel is a bit old, understandably so after all these years, but the cleanliness is good. Being able to watch the rockets from the room was fantastic. The hotel has plenty of activities for kids, and the breakfast selection is diverse. Due to the rain, we only got to experience the indoor pool, which is 1 meter deep – perfect for children. Before we left, the butler even gave us tickets to Coconut Kingdom. Overall, a great experience!"

"This hotel was a pleasant surprise for me. As a beachfront hotel, it's rare for an older property to be outstanding, given the constant battle with sea breezes and typhoons, unless it's perpetually undergoing renovations. Let's start with the pros: 1️⃣ The room was very clean, not a speck of dust anywhere. My child loves to touch and crawl everywhere, and even after wiping surfaces with wet wipes, they remained spotless. 2️⃣ When I reported an odd smell in the room, they responded quickly with a solution. Several staff members even followed up to ensure the issue was resolved, which was highly impressive. 3️⃣ The breakfast offered a wide variety. We booked a family room, which included breakfast for two adults. When my 80-year-old relative joined us at the restaurant, they didn't charge us for an extra person, which was a very thoughtful touch. 4️⃣ Many hotels push for good reviews, but this one didn't at all. Giving them a positive review truly feels like a genuine act of kindness, yet their service was exceptional. Every staff member I encountered was incredibly friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful. Big points for Wenchang! Cons: 1️⃣ The hotel facilities are a bit dated. For example, the balcony door was a bit stiff, and there were noticeable gaps around the room door. 2️⃣ The complimentary travel photography was difficult to review. 3️⃣ The family-friendly amenities could be improved. 4️⃣ The beach wasn't maintained, but it was very close and uncrowded."
