"Facilities: This is an older, star-rated hotel, but it doesn't feel dated at all. We stayed on the fifth floor and didn't experience the musty smell some online reviewers mentioned. There are plenty of activities scheduled daily, making it very family-friendly. Surroundings: The hotel is located on Qishui Bay, with a fine sandy beach, and you can even watch rocket launches. Within 3 kilometers, Longlou Town offers a wide variety of delicious food, and many delivery services can bring food right to the hotel. Service: A big shout-out to our butler, Hayley! She was incredibly responsive and proactive. She arranged everything for us in advance, and our room even had a bed rail, a crib, and various kids' amenities. She sent warm greetings every day, provided us with tips for dining, entertainment, and activities, and helped us book hotel events. 100 points! Restaurant: The breakfast spread each morning was very rich and diverse, including local delicacies. The coconut chicken hotpot in the set meal was also incredibly delicious; I even thought it tasted better than what you'd find in outside restaurants."

"This hotel was a pleasant surprise for me. As a beachfront hotel, it's rare for an older property to be outstanding, given the constant battle with sea breezes and typhoons, unless it's perpetually undergoing renovations. Let's start with the pros: 1️⃣ The room was very clean, not a speck of dust anywhere. My child loves to touch and crawl everywhere, and even after wiping surfaces with wet wipes, they remained spotless. 2️⃣ When I reported an odd smell in the room, they responded quickly with a solution. Several staff members even followed up to ensure the issue was resolved, which was highly impressive. 3️⃣ The breakfast offered a wide variety. We booked a family room, which included breakfast for two adults. When my 80-year-old relative joined us at the restaurant, they didn't charge us for an extra person, which was a very thoughtful touch. 4️⃣ Many hotels push for good reviews, but this one didn't at all. Giving them a positive review truly feels like a genuine act of kindness, yet their service was exceptional. Every staff member I encountered was incredibly friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful. Big points for Wenchang! Cons: 1️⃣ The hotel facilities are a bit dated. For example, the balcony door was a bit stiff, and there were noticeable gaps around the room door. 2️⃣ The complimentary travel photography was difficult to review. 3️⃣ The family-friendly amenities could be improved. 4️⃣ The beach wasn't maintained, but it was very close and uncrowded."
