In Shaoshan in March, the temperature at night was very low, so I needed to turn on the air conditioner, but the sound from the outdoor air conditioner was loud, like a tractor. When I turned off the air conditioner, the same sound came from the outdoor air conditioners in other rooms, and the quilt was a little thin. Great choice for light sleepers. The owners of this place are the nicest people ever! Even though we did not ask, they gave us a ride to and from the train station as well as to Chairman Mao's former residence. The location is great, it would not have been a long walk but the ride made our visit even smoother. The hosts gave us Chairman Mao pins for free and made us delicious breakfast for a really cheap price. They truly are such nice people! They don't speak much English but I'm sure you would manage just fine with a translator app. The room was a great fit for us, two couples travelling together, and it had everything we needed. We only stayed for one night since there is not a whole lot to see in this town but we would have loved to stay for longer just because the hosts were so nice. Check-in at the front desk was efficient and quick, and the staff proactively introduced the hotel facilities and local travel tips – thoughtful and professional. When I needed an extra pillow, room service delivered it within minutes, with warm and attentive service throughout. From the facilities to the service, every detail reflected the hotel's dedication, making guests feel truly at home. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit this city, and I highly recommend it!
