Extremely satisfied! The landlady is incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. She picked me up promptly, ensuring no delays, truly 100% service. Her food is absolutely delicious. Upon arrival, I was upgraded to a better room and even received a Chairman Mao badge, which was a nice touch given the context. It was a truly memorable experience, and I'll definitely come back if I have the chance. I didn't get to see a performance this time, as they only start after the Chinese New Year in the first lunar month.

I am a solo female traveler from America. The owner and family took wonderful care of me. As if I were their family and not just a guest. The owner drove me to the Mao scenic area, helped me find the ticket area, and returned later to take me home. Then he later drove me to a restaurant for dinner, where I also met his cute dog Wang Wang, and afterwards took me to the evening musical performance about Mao. Which was great to see even not speaking Chinese. My departure train was late in the afternoon but they allowed me to just rest in the hotel lounge and garden. Gave me tea, fruit, and cake while I waited. Even offered to drive me to the train! So friendly. So kind. And hotel room was VERY comfortable. Stay here! Ps. I recommend using WeChat to communicate with the host if you don’t speak Chinese. Made things so easy.

GGuest UserThe air conditioning in the room is very powerful, the room is not cold at all; the hot water is fast, and the rain is not cold at all in winter. Parking is convenient, underground and above-ground parking lots are relatively large. The breakfast is rich and varied. The front desk service is warm and the warmth of home.

The couple running this renovated traditional home in Mao's home village are very attentive to guests' needs, even on the busiest day of the year, December 26th, Chairman Mao's birthday. My partner was coming down with a cold and got some ginger soup to drink. Additionally, when we screwed up our schedule and almost couldn't make our train out of Shaoshan, with no train available to reschedule, the couple arranged for the husband to drive us to the station for little more than gas money. It's up a slight hill from the other inns and allows one to get a bit of peace and quiet, again, even on the busiest day of the year, when Shaoshan is very worth a visit for anyone interested in Mao Zedong's legacy, given the number of Chinese people who show up to sing, dance, wave various flags and give speeches. Don't make our mistake and schedule the Chairman Mao memorial hall for a full visit instead of rushing though it. The exhibit is full of pictures and dioramas and has English captions for most things. I also wish we'd had time to explore the pagoda on the hill behind the guesthouse.

The owners of this place are the nicest people ever! Even though we did not ask, they gave us a ride to and from the train station as well as to Chairman Mao's former residence. The location is great, it would not have been a long walk but the ride made our visit even smoother. The hosts gave us Chairman Mao pins for free and made us delicious breakfast for a really cheap price. They truly are such nice people! They don't speak much English but I'm sure you would manage just fine with a translator app. The room was a great fit for us, two couples travelling together, and it had everything we needed. We only stayed for one night since there is not a whole lot to see in this town but we would have loved to stay for longer just because the hosts were so nice. I would definitely recommend this place! 谢谢你们对我们的悉心照顾!

A very good experience for our stay in Shaushan. The service is fantastic with free pickup and send off service.provided by the Inn's owner. The room is spacious, well kept and clean. The home cooked food was delicious at a reasonable price. I strongly recommend this homestay inn if you are planning for a Shaushan trip.

This hotel is incredibly close to Xiangtan Railway Station! It's just a few minutes' walk from the station, so I had absolutely no trouble getting there with my luggage. It's a lifesaver for anyone catching an early train or arriving late, saving you the hassle of waiting for a taxi and rushing around. So thoughtful! Staying here makes catching a train super stress-free. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Xiangtan.

酒店不错，交通ok还是很满意的出行体验，This hotel was an excellent experience! The room was clean, well-equipped, and the bed was very comfortable. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, making check-in and check-out smooth. The location is great, with easy access to transportation and plenty of restaurants nearby. Breakfast was varied and delicious. The environment is quiet and safe, offering great value for money. I’ll definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

Stayed for one night. Was not my first choice, but had to stay here because foreigners allowed at this hotel. Many other hotels in Xiangxiang do not allow foreigners to check-in. Check-in process was smooth, and staff courteous and professional. Standard room with the standard amenities. Located right in the city center. Could not comment on other aspects because did not experience/use.
