We deliberately chose to travel during the quieter period of the 7th and 8th days of the ***** New Year. The staff member at the front desk began contacting us a day in advance to provide guidance and assist with our arrival. The guesthouse is situated by a tributary of the Fuchun River. It's a renovation of an old house, where the newly added concrete structure blends seamlessly with the original wooden beams and columns. Some carved wooden doors have been preserved, creating a harmonious blend of traditional and modern elements that feels entirely natural, not at all jarring. Our room, named 'Pine Wind Slow' (松风慢), came with a brass key tag bearing its name. The room was very spacious and comfortable, with simple yet elegant decor. The central air conditioning was efficient and powerful; even though it was the coldest time of the first ***** month, the room was perfectly warm. There's a large, elderly dog at the guesthouse. It's very gentle and friendly. At night, when it got hungry, it would come to me, wagging its tail and carrying its food bowl. I found a large bag of dog food near its bed and gave it a few scoops to satisfy it. Next to the guesthouse, there's a suspension bridge, and on the other side is the starting point of the Maling Ancient Trail. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to explore the mountain trail.

The view from the room is superb, especially the balcony, facing the Fuchun River, with mountains, trees and roads in the distance. The boss is very considerate and will prepare fruits, snacks and tea when you go back (ps: the tea is better than outside), which makes you feel like you are home. There are few shops around, so it is not easy to order takeout at night, but it is convenient to have drinks downstairs. There are many people in the scenic area during the holidays, so it is also nice to stay downstairs in the homestay and chat with the boss.

The trip was full of surprises. This homestay was very clean and the bed was the most comfortable and immersive sleep I have ever lived in. Looking up is the mountain view, full of green eyes. Homestay is located a few minutes walk from a beautiful trail along fresh water streams. The owner js super nice , she even took us to dinner in her own car . When we enter the room there was a package of fruits, small cakes and coffee . At night we got very good tea with more fruits . Room is new super and clean and full of all needed amenities .
