"Excellent value for money, clean and spacious cabins. Located at an around 8 mins drive from the port, they also have a restaurant where you can have the included breakfast as well as dinner later at night. You can also rent a motorbike here, so you've got everything you need in it really. It also has hot water, AC, and they clean the room every day so I'm delighted to have stayed at this place, as usually in this kind of low cost accommodation in Indonesia you won't get as many services and amenities. Highly recommended!"

"I stayed in 3 different places during my trip to Bali. All were lovely but Cove d’Ancak and Bungalow was by far my favorite place. Firstly, the bungalow is absolutely spotless. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a home stay so clean in all my travels. Every night and morning there felt cosy and homey. The pool area is also very relaxing and beautiful and the WiFi is strong. But the true treasure that lies here is the staff. As a solo traveler, the whole staff made me feel appreciated, greeting me warmly every day. The best part was the mini surprise they organized for my birthday to make my day extra special, bringing me a small cake and singing happy birthday. Big thank you to Risky, Grande, Debora, Adi and Jelo for keeping the place in top condition and a very extra warm thank you to Arta & Zihad for putting a smile on my face everytime I crossed their path! You will not regret staying here, I will 100% be back."

"This was our second time staying here, and we’re still very happy with our experience. The breakfast was really delicious, and all the staff were incredibly warm and friendly throughout our stay. We accidentally left a pair of shoes at the hotel after checking out and only realized when we were already at the harbor about to leave. We honestly thought we wouldn’t get them back, but the staff kindly brought them all the way to the harbor for us. It’s actually a bit of a distance, so we were really touched by their effort. Great service, great people, and a great stay overall. We would definitely come back again."

"The accessibility from the airport was excellent, making for a very comfortable stay. I stayed a total of 6 nights across three room types: Pool Villa, Deluxe, and Grand Deluxe. Personally, the Grand Deluxe room, with its tropical views from the balcony, was my favorite. **What I liked:** * **Staff:** Every single staff member, from the front desk and housekeeping to the restaurant and bellboys, was incredibly friendly and greeted us with a smile. * **Facilities:** While the building itself shows its age, it is impeccably clean. Despite Bali's high humidity, the air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping us comfortable. The shower pressure was good and consistent, and hot water was always available. A bathtub, a welcome feature for Japanese guests, allowed me to relax daily. * During my stay, I unfortunately got food poisoning, but the in-room dining service offered easily digestible options like soup, which was a real lifesaver. * Having a convenience store (Circle K) right in front of the hotel was very handy. This is a hotel I'd love to return to!"

"The view, oh my god, it's just top-notch! 😍 Like something out of a movie. Waking up at dawn and seeing such beauty, wow. The staff are super polite, kind, and responsive. They explained everything, told us everything, and answered all our questions. Wow, the ladies at the reception, how can they be so sweet? The room is delightful. The bed, the swing, the view, the bathtub, the dryer, the shower, the water... But there's no fridge, just so you know if you bring your own. The temperature at night is super comfortable. There's a communal pool, more for photos than for swimming. Breakfast has a beautiful view, and it looks pretty, but it's tasteless. If you're willing to walk up to the main street, there are tons of cafes with huge menus and great options. Minuses: Flies. But you can't escape them there; they're in all the hotels, all the cafes. It's especially due to the nearby lava fields and sulfur, though it doesn't smell. There are a lot of them, especially at breakfast. They become fewer after sunset. The most important thing is the descent to the hotel and the ascent back up. The road is such that taxi drivers won't agree to go there, though for Russia, it's normal. 😉 The price includes a ride down to the hotel in an SUV upon check-in and an ascent to the main road upon check-out (from where you can easily call a taxi and leave, and also leave your moped in their parking lot). But if you want to go up from the hotel to the road at any other time, their shuttle costs 200k! 😱 Out of principle 🤣 and because it's impossible to call a taxi there (they'll refuse to go down), we walked up – it's not as scary as it might seem, but it takes about 30 minutes. The hotel offers night trekking to the volcano or a jeep tour. The price seems higher than the market rate, but it's very convenient 👍 when everything is together. I think it would be hard to live in those small 'onion' and 'potato' shaped rooms, but I didn't go inside; I just walked around the grounds – it's beautiful. It seems like they melt in the sun during the day."

"Honestly, the hotel staff made our entire stay so enjoyable. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful. They checked us in at around 2 a.m. without any problems and even drove us to our villa late at night. The rooms themselves were clean and pleasant, as well as very spacious and comfortable. We really liked everything. The only small issue was a little mould in some areas, particularly around the pool, but it was not a major problem. The breakfasts were delicious. I love it when food is not wasted and meals are prepared according to your preferences. I especially enjoyed the bowls. I would also like to mention the service. We ordered food from the hotel restaurant several times, and everything was delivered quite quickly. We also placed orders through Grab, and the wonderful reception staff brought them directly to our room. During our six-night stay, we also had the chance to visit the hotel spa and were absolutely delighted with it. It was especially enjoyable after a day of surfing. Overall, I would happily recommend this hotel. I am sure you will be able to relax and truly enjoy your stay here. Thank you to all the hotel staff for your hard work!"

"From the moment we arrived at Amarea Resort Ubud, we knew this place was something special. The luxury, comfort and atmosphere here genuinely took our breath away and made our stay in Bali unforgettable. What truly makes this resort exceptional though is the people. Every single member of staff made us feel so welcome, cared for and completely at home. Ita in the restaurant was absolutely wonderful — so attentive, kind and thoughtful, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Candra on reception was always there with a smile, ready to help with anything at all, and it genuinely felt lovely coming “home” to see her after a day out exploring. Novia was also constantly cheerful, welcoming and so warm every single time we saw her. Honestly, every member of staff went above and beyond to make our stay magical. Nothing ever felt like a chore to them — just genuine kindness and hospitality all the time. And the food… wow. We’ve been taking photos of nearly every meal because the presentation and attention to detail has been incredible. But as beautiful as everything looks, the taste somehow manages to be even better. Every dish we tried was absolutely outstanding and full of flavour. The resort itself feels like a hidden sanctuary in the jungle. The décor is stunning, peaceful and luxurious without ever losing that authentic Bali feel. The pool area tucked into the jungle was one of our favourite places — sitting there in the evening watching the bats eating figs from the trees above us felt surreal and magical. Amarea Resort Ubud is more than just a hotel — it’s an experience, and one we will never forget. Thank you all so much for making our holiday so special.
