I was wondering whether to buy the Ruby Pass, thinking that since it was a Thursday, the queues might not be too bad.Well, I can tell you that the Ruby Pass was absolutely worth it!I arrived at the Peak Tram around 4:30 p.m. and estimate that the pass saved me about 40-60 minutes on the way up. Without it, I probably would have missed the chance to see Hong Kong in daylight, enjoy the sunset, and watch the city lights come on. By the time I would have reached the top without the pass, it would already have been dark.The return journey was a completely different story. Judging by the queue, I estimate that waiting for the tram back down would have taken around 90-120 minutes.My recommendation: Either take the tram up and walk back down, or get a Ruby Pass for both directions if you want to avoid wasting time in queues.

Many people say the best time to visit is at sunset, when you can see Guangzhou in the light and then back to the dark. But we specifically arrived before lunch. There were no lines at all, and you could ride the bubble gondolas at least once. The views of the city were excellent. Plus, the illumination of the Canton Tower, bridges, and buildings is best seen from the embankment. Inside the tower, you can buy various souvenirs, have a snack, and explore the engineering structures on the closed upper floors. On the ground floor, after exiting, there's a hall with paintings and other exhibits. Nearby are metro, APM, and skytrain stations, which are also worth a ride. We were delighted and highly recommend it.
