Blown away by the bakery downstairs! Not only do they have freshly baked bread, but also delicious and affordable food from the hotel restaurant. I loved how plentiful the hotel shuttle bus and taxis were! 😍
On our first night, we got an upgraded room. While it was bigger, the toilet and shower were combined. Since we were traveling with an elder, I was concerned about the safety of climbing in and out of the bathtub. After speaking with the front desk, they changed us back to our original room type. The next day, the hotel staff even brought our luggage directly to the new room and helped set up the extra bed – I was so grateful! ❤️
The hotel is located in Nakanoshima, which is perfect for a city walk. I'll definitely stay here again next time!!From€76

Facilities: The facilities are comprehensive, with all daily necessities provided in the room, so there's no need to buy extra or bring your own. Each floor has self-service washing machines with both washing and drying functions, which is very convenient. Just prepare one-yen coins, or you can exchange them at the front desk.
Hygiene: The hygiene is excellent, very clean overall. If you need your room cleaned, you need to put the cleaning sign on the door before 2 PM; otherwise, it won't be cleaned.
Environment: The environment is superb, right in the city center, very close to Shinsaibashi and Umeda commercial districts, just one subway stop away. The subway is the Midosuji Line (red line), and it's about a 700m walk from the hotel. It's also quiet despite being in a bustling area. The hotel surroundings are very peaceful, with a 7-Eleven and a coffee shop right outside, and many restaurants and cafes nearby.

This hotel was recommended by a friend, and its location is absolutely fantastic. Downstairs, there's a city rail station, and it's a hub for various subway lines, making travel incredibly convenient. It's very close to Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori. The airport shuttle also has a stop right next to the hotel, which is super handy for getting around. I stayed for three nights, and the room was quite spacious, quiet, and spotlessly clean. I'm particular about my sleep, so I was thrilled that the bed was very comfortable and the environment was peaceful. I highly recommend it and will definitely stay here again in the future.From€87

It's located in Namba which is one of the busiest and exciting neighborhoods in Osaka. Direct train to KIX in the same building is the biggest plus. Dotonbori is only 10 min walk away. We had an amazing sushi dinner a few mins from the hotel. You never get hungry staying there. Front desk staff speak very good English. If you opt out of breakfast, the cafe on 3rd floor facing express train station is an excellent choice for coffee and pastries. A few min walk there an excellent brunch cafe that opens at 8 am. If you arrive by train from Kyoto/Nara, it's a little past to n navigate to the hotel. Just get to the 3rd floor first around Takashimaya. Signage is mucus easier from there.
Rooms are spacious. We picked the renovated room Swiss Select. It's absolutely worth paying a little bit more. I'll definitely stay there again should I be visiting Osaka in the future.From€158

Hotel Nikko Osaka was absolutely the highlight of our family trip! We stayed in a newly renovated superior room, which was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The view from the window was amazing, and the room was more spacious than hotels of similar quality in Tokyo, yet more affordable. Our biggest thanks go to the hotel front desk staff. The Japanese staff clearly explained everything I needed to know in English. There was also a front office manager from Jiangxi, China, who, upon the airport bus's arrival, proactively and enthusiastically helped us with all our luggage, took a piece of trash I was holding, and escorted us to the bus. Her service was meticulous, thoughtful, and polite, and it deeply touched us. We hope the hotel can convey our gratitude to her through this review!From€66

Staying at Hotel Granvia Osaka was such a pleasant experience! The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of Osaka, with shopping, restaurants and eateries all around, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city.
What I loved most is how central it is for travelling beyond Osaka too. With Osaka Station right there, it’s so easy to head out to places like Kyoto, Kobe and Kurashiki without wasting time getting across the city.
A special shout-out to Don at the hotel, whose service was truly top-notch. He spoke excellent English, was incredibly accommodating and made me feel very well taken care of. The hotel even upgraded my room for free, which was such a lovely surprise!
And for Pokémon fans — this is a bonus I absolutely loved! 😍 The Pokémon Center is just on the 13th floor, so you can literally pop down whenever you feel like browsing or shopping.
Overall, a fantastic base for an Osaka trip — excellent location, wonderful service, comfortable stay and plenty of shopping and dining right at your doorstep. Would definitely stay here again!From€74

The location is very convenient, with easy access to Nihonbashi and Namba. You can see the hotel right after exiting Namba City South building. The room is also spacious. My child and I prepared breakfast ourselves at the hotel. There's a Lawson 100 convenience store downstairs where you can buy some simple groceries. Sometimes we'd play too late, and coming back to cook a bowl of instant noodles was really relaxing. Highly recommend! I'll definitely stay here again next time.From€88

This was the most satisfying room during our trip to Japan. The wet and dry areas were separate, and the hygiene was impeccable. The bathtub was also very comfortable. My child loved the room's decor and facilities. We could see most of Universal Studios Japan from the room. The TV had Phoenix Satellite Television, but I couldn't find any Universal movies. The staff were incredibly friendly. We received a princess-themed toiletries set upon check-in. We stayed for two nights, and the cleaning on the second day was just as thorough as on the first day, which was a huge plus. The hotel restaurants were all delicious. My child didn't want to leave. We chose this hotel for our trip to Universal Studios, and it's conveniently located not far from the park entrance, making coming and going very easy. There are plenty of dining options nearby, as well as Universal Studios merchandise stores. The day we arrived happened to be a Japanese holiday, so it was incredibly crowded. Check-in started at 3 PM, and we had to wait in line for a long time. The hotel is quite large and even has a Family Mart convenience store inside, which was great since we didn't book breakfast. We booked a city view room, but the front desk gave us a room on the 4th floor, so there was basically no view outside the window. For Japan, the room was quite spacious. Overall, it was convenient for accessing Universal Studios.From€103

The hotel's large public bath is great for unwinding after a long day of travel, though I wish the operating hours were longer. It gets really crowded, especially since they stop letting people in after 11:30 PM. It would be much more flexible if they could extend it by an hour. Oh, and there's an amazing BBQ restaurant, Market Kitchen, on B1 of Umeda Lucua 1000 where you can pick your own meat to grill – such a good deal! I was really happy staying in this area. Location: If you're coming from Kansai Airport, taking the Nankai Rapid Express to Namba and then dragging your luggage to the hotel is a bit of a trek, about 1km I'd say? I heard taking the bus is better. But the hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. Just 100 meters outside, you're in the busiest area of Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi. Every day after exploring, you can just step downstairs and enjoy all sorts of delicious food.
Room: The room isn't huge, but I could half-open my 28-inch suitcase. Although it's a bit older, it's very clean! The only issue is that the curtains don't block out the light completely, so I was woken up by the sunlight in the morning. I should have worn an eye mask.
Breakfast: It's alright, enough to fill you up. If you're rushing out to explore every day, it's worth booking. The restaurant isn't very big and can get crowded sometimes. A big plus is that children under 12 eat for free!
Service: My room was right opposite the linen room, but I stayed for 3 nights and didn't hear a single sound from the staff, which was impressive! I couldn't use WeChat Pay for the washing machine, so I called the front desk to complain. To my surprise, a staff member proactively came to my room to help me operate it. When it still didn't work, they went back and forth to help me resolve the issue.
Surroundings: Many reviews mentioned the red-light district at night. I also brought my 12-year-old daughter, and we came back very late every night, but we found it to be fine. This area is very lively; there are still many people out and about at midnight. You can find places like a century-old oden stand and the popular white chicken broth ramen, as well as convenience stores and Don Quijote. I'm very satisfied!

I had good experience at Royal Park Canvas Hotel in Sapporo last year. Therefore this time in Osaka, I chose the same brand again. This Osaka Royal Park Canvas hotel’s standard remains high. Overall cleanliness, room upkeep and location are ideal. I like the idea that this hotel is in business district which makes it less crowded and quiet. Yet there’s a family mart right next to our hotel entrance. We enjoyed visiting it every night during our stay. I highly recommend Royal Park Canvas hotel’s chain. The little setback I experienced was one of the front desk staff is not friendly and showed me a frustrated face.From€42

The location is conveniently located between shinsaibashi and namba station. It is not too noisy and crowded in the area. Location was amazing for shopping, whenever we had too much to carry we would head back to drop everything off and take a quick rest. There are many great food options nearby like ichiran, okonomiyaki ajinoya hoten, onigiri gorichan, gyukatsu motomura and idaten. The room had ample space for our 4 huge luggages and 3 cabin luggages. The room might be slightly dark but there is sunlight in the morning. The toilet bowl, bathtub/shower area and sink is in individual rooms. It may be convenient or inconvenient for some. However for the room we stayed in, we struggled to find areas to hang our clothes while showering as there was no hooks to hang them in the shower area. The soundproofing is not the best but not too noisy. The hotel breakfast is great! I loved the corn soup, rice, curry and their eggs. Their croissant is fragrant and tasty too. They had a wide spread of salad that rotates. They had salmon avocado salad, wagyu beef salad and pork with carrot sauce salad (my favourite). They had yogurt and fruits too. I always opt for five-star hotels when I travel, but summer prices were just too high this year. So, I took a friend's recommendation and booked this place instead. 👍
It's about an hour from Kansai Airport, and Exit 13 is the closest to the hotel. The downside is there's no elevator there, so if you have a lot of luggage, I'd suggest Exit 16, which has one.
The hotel's service and facilities are excellent. The room was quite spacious by Japanese hotel standards, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable – we slept soundly every night. The location is also fantastic, about a 15-minute walk to Shinsaibashi. We stayed for five nights this time and visited Kobe and Kyoto. The Chuo and Midosuji subway lines right downstairs were super convenient.
I have to mention one particular incident. Check-out was at 11 AM, and our flight wasn't until 5 PM on the last day. Thinking we had plenty of time, my child and I went to Nipponbashi that morning. It wasn't until we got there that I remembered check-out was at 11! Luckily, my mother wasn't with us; she was having coffee at a cafe across from the hotel. I immediately contacted her and asked her to rush back to check out. But to our surprise, her Huawei phone couldn't connect to the hotel's Wi-Fi when she got back, and the only Pocket Wi-Fi device was with me! 😵💫 Since the reservation was under my name, the front desk needed to confirm check-out with me personally. But there was a language barrier, and my mom had no internet. She was incredibly flustered at that moment. Just then, a Chinese-speaking staff member appeared. He first calmed her down, telling her not to worry and that he would find a way to contact me, also explaining that the hotel's network was often unstable. He then took out a device and tried to connect her phone to the Wi-Fi in the lobby, but after many attempts, it didn't work. So, he took my mother back to the room and tried many more times until it finally connected, and he was able to reach me... His professionalism and meticulous work attitude deeply touched our entire family. We'd like to express our gratitude once again! I will definitely choose Tokyu Stay Osaka Hommachi again next time I visit Osaka. 👍From€62

The room was spacious and well-equipped. Although the hotel is a bit old, it's very well-maintained.
Upon checking in, a staff member accompanied us all the way to our room.
The window offered a view of the Osaka city skyline and a beautiful riverside scenery, perfect for a stroll, and we could watch the sunset from our room.
The hotel has an annex, but the shops inside were mostly closed and rundown. There was one restaurant open during the day, with windows facing the river, offering light meals and afternoon tea.
The biggest drawback was the inconvenient transportation. There's a free shuttle bus every 20 minutes from outside the Starbucks at JR Osaka Station's Sakurabashi exit, which takes about 15 minutes to reach the hotel. Walking to the nearest subway station takes about seven to eight minutes. There are very few restaurants or shopping malls near the hotel.From€107

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve stayed here. This might just be my favorite hotel in the world.
It’s true, it might not be everyone’s cup of tea. But once you pass through the entrance tunnel, you’re transported to another world, even though you’re still in Osaka.
This time, I was on a blue floor. Despite the heat outside, it felt like the temperature dropped by 5°C. The elevator was neon pink. I was greeted with a warm “Welcome back.” And I replied, “I’m home.”
I was on the top floor, the 27th, on the Midosuji side, my favorite pink floor. Odd-numbered floors are pink, even-numbered are blue.
Soon after, Jack brought my luggage. As always, he pulled my stopper from his breast pocket. Thank you.
“Midosuji is all mine!” I declared, and then it was bath time.
I headed to WET on the 4th floor. I read a book by the poolside, then soaked in the jacuzzi, repeating the cycle. Later, I had a French 75 at LIVING ROOM, served by Mr. Yajima.
The Mexican dish I often order had been slightly revamped and was even more delicious.
Back in my room, it was bath time again. Oh? Extra towels, bath salts, skincare, and a chair! Ah, I remember mentioning it last time. The chair wasn't quite what I had in mind, though.
After that, I fell into a deep sleep, so no turndown service this time. Oh! Their laundry service is excellent here. I always have my high-end brand T-shirts cleaned here. It costs almost 10,000 yen locally, which is a bit much. They even managed to remove a stain from a skirt that H Nagoya couldn't get out.
It’s not cheap, there’s no lounge, and no gym. But I absolutely love it. Thank you always, see you again.From€196
