"This was the second hotel we stayed at on our birdwatching trip in Menglun. It was originally a backup plan because we booked the Wanglian Hotel late, but after staying there, we found it to be a hidden gem. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the west gate of the botanical garden and the suspension bridge, which is very convenient. We walked there from the botanical garden.
Upon arriving at the hotel, we were immediately greeted by warm service. The landlady was incredibly welcoming, and there were complimentary candies, snacks, and fruits for guests to enjoy while they waited – a very thoughtful touch. After check-in, you can add the service WeChat account to let them know the breakfast time and location, nearby restaurants, and the Wi-Fi password. The service response time is also very fast; my room had a problem with the TV's internet connection, and it was resolved within 10 minutes. I think that's impressive for the town.
The hotel facilities are relatively new, with a mahogany interior and ethnic style. The facilities are quite complete, and surprisingly, it even has a small gym – great! It's nice to get some exercise after a long day. The breakfast selection isn't extensive, but it's sufficient. If you don't want to eat breakfast there, there are many snack shops and night markets nearby. For example, there are many Dai-style restaurants in the village within a 500-meter walk of the hotel, offering authentic local flavors that are worth trying. The hotel has a relatively large parking lot, making it convenient for tourists arriving by car. A small gift is given upon check-out, which is also a nice touch.
Overall, we stayed here for two nights, and our biggest impression was how incredibly welcoming the owner was. We were always ready to chat and provided a lot of information. If you're not particularly keen on the botanical garden night tour, this is a very good value accommodation in Menglun."

I casually looked at the lobby at the door and decisively chose this one. Fortunately, I was not disappointed. Their hygiene is very clean, and the supplies they provide are of high quality. Even the paper is heart-to-heart. Generally, only star-rated hotels will control these details. It is really good and cost-effective. I will stay in this store often in the future

MM247991****This was probably the biggest surprise of our Yunnan trip – we stumbled upon this village by accident. For city dwellers like us, it felt like a paradise. From an extremely impoverished village to one where everyone has an income, the villagers said it was Professor Li Xiaoyun's team (I'm not sure if that's the correct spelling) who helped the village generate tourism revenue. We booked a three-bedroom room for 1730 yuan a night. It was the second day of the ***** New Year, so that's understandable, but seeing in the reviews that it was a poverty alleviation project, we immediately placed the order. Since we were going to book a guesthouse anyway, it wouldn't hurt to do something good. Driving from the Wangtianshu Scenic Area, there's only one road into the village, and the winding roads scared me half to death! Definitely check in during the day! The one-way street makes passing difficult, especially since we were in a campervan. When we arrived, we were truly shocked. It was a village with only one small shop. To be honest, that might not be accurate; there were no restaurants, no milk tea shops, no convenience stores, no coffee shops – absolutely no commercial establishments. Honestly, I was a little shocked because I didn't expect such a pristine, authentic village. Each guest room was in a different family's home. The village has over 60 households and more than 200 people. You can pay the family you're staying at to have their meals prepared, using vegetables they grow themselves and pigs and chickens they raise themselves. I haven't written this review yet because I really wanted to sit down and write a proper review. If my initial impression of the village was surprise, astonishment, and a little regret, then afterwards it was pure joy, delight, and regret for arriving too late. In the evening, I watched the village girls dancing on the basketball court. The owner of the house I stayed at, Brother Deng, was born in 1984. My husband and father ate and drank with him, and he even took my father and husband to visit other villagers. Everyone in the village was simple, honest, and warm-hearted. Although I couldn't understand their dialect, I could feel everyone's kindness and welcome. Even though the rooms weren't very soundproof—after all, it's a wooden village, part of the Yao culture—it was very clean. You could tell they were putting effort into making this a good tourist destination. I hope Hebian Village continues to thrive. See you next time! If you're willing to put down your phone and experience nature, to escape the city and enjoy a day of simplicity, believe me, it's worth the trip, unforgettable, and truly a return to nature. This special trip perfectly embodies that feeling.

The sound insulation of the room was very poor, and the sound of knocking on the door next door was clear and audible, which seriously affected the rest. I don't understand why the door has been opened and exited at two o'clock in the morning. At 2 am, there is suspected improper activity upstairs. The sound is very loud. It is like an earthquake. The sound of showering and opening and closing the door is very loud and clear. The voices of women, floor squeaking, knocking on the door, and closing the door are all heard very clearly. I was woken up at 2 am and couldn't sleep at ease all night. I barely fell asleep until about four in the morning, and the quality of sleep was extremely poor. The next day, the whole person was in a poor mental state and stepped on a thunderstorm.

GGuest UserI accidentally saw on the Internet that there is a very beautiful post station at Mohan Port on the China-Laos border. This time I went to Laos and passed by Mohan. So I settled in this post station. Walk into the pure Dai thatched house with stilt structures at the post station. It has the original style of a Dai village. It is indeed rare to see. Only when I got here did I realize that the post station also has services that can help guests arrange travel to Laos.

😊Service There is breakfast. You can eat something simple in the morning. Go to Wangtianshu or the Manlelong Market. The drive is about an hour. Go to Manlelong first. The market has Banna specialty snacks. Different from the more commercial night market snacks in Jinghong, this place is more local. I like it more.
The front desk service is enthusiastic. I am afraid that we will not rest well and actively help us change rooms.

I saw that the house was renovated in 2023, so I have high expectations for the old and new (clean), but For this price, it is also a good deal. A small incident was that the hot water was turned off for us, but it was resolved later. One of the rooms we booked had a strong smell of smoke. I hope we can pay attention to it in the future.

The room was very clean, and the bed was a super king-size bed. Having two king-size beds in one room was quite nice. The overall color scheme was warm and inviting.
From the balcony, you can enjoy views of the flowers in the courtyard and the azure swimming pool. It felt very pleasant.
Downstairs in the common area, there's a tea table where you can brew tea, entertain friends, and chat.
Upstairs, there's a huge gym with all sorts of exercise equipment.
The most highly recommended thing is the landlady's wonderful personality and delicious cooking, especially the braised chicken with potatoes. Staying there felt like being at home. She even put our food in the refrigerator at lunchtime and reheated it for us in the evening, worried about us wasting food.

As soon as you step into the triangular house, the unique shape is eye-catching. The wooden structure is matched with large glass windows, which complement the surrounding rainforest. The sunlight shines in, and the light and shadow are mottled, which is beautiful. The facilities in the house are far beyond expectations. The bed is soft and warm, and you can sleep well all night; the independent bathroom is clean and tidy, hot water is available at any time, and the supplies are exquisite and complete.
The most intoxicating thing is the surrounding environment. In the morning, you are awakened by the crisp bird song. When you open the door, fresh air with the fragrance of plants and trees hits you in the face. Strolling along the rainforest trail, you can see lush greenery, encounter rare plants and smart small animals, which is fun.
The service is even more heartwarming. The staff is enthusiastic. They will introduce the gameplay in detail when you check in, provide help at any time during the tour, and carefully prepare rainforest specialties. You can also enjoy the gluttony on your tongue.
