HHiasinta FannyLocation quiet good, not far from simpang lima. Reception staff very kind and fast response. The very downside from this hotel is facilities in terrible condition. Small pool, all the gym equipment is not working and nobody standby at the gym to solve my problem. Hotel need to consider to renovate their gym

My stay at Novotel Semarang was very satisfying overall; it truly lives up to its international brand reputation, with all aspects performing above average.
Excellent Location: The hotel is situated in a prime location in downtown Semarang, offering incredibly convenient transportation access to the Old Town (Kota Lama), popular attractions, and shopping malls. It's a top choice for both business travelers and tourists.
High Standard of Service and Dining: The staff were exceptionally warm and professional right from check-in. I especially want to praise their breakfast – the variety was impressive, with a wide selection of local Indonesian flavors and Western dishes, all prepared with great care.
Well-Equipped Facilities, Though Showing Some Age: The room was spacious, and the bedding was very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. While it's clear the hotel has been around for a while and the decor is more classic and traditional, the overall cleanliness was spotless, and maintenance was excellent. The hotel's pool and gym were also very clean, perfect for relaxing after a busy day.

JjoiceheThe hotel boasts a rooftop bar, perfect for unwinding. Although rooms don't have kettles, there's a coffee machine for your caffeine fix. It's conveniently located on Gajah Mada Street in the heart of Semarang, close to the iconic Simpang Lima intersection. With plenty of restaurants nearby, it's super easy to get around for dining or sightseeing.

BB. Lee.Not the first time of staying in Aston.All the staffs are friendly and helpful. A varity of choice for breakfast. The only compliant is the water quility of swimming pool. When diving into water, a lot of mold/mildew can be saw. When you take a look on the drain tunnel on the edge side of swimming pool, you know where the mold is from.

MMels2012The hotel is quite old and very big, but everything is still well-maintained and in good condition. It offered good value for money for three people plus a friend. We enjoyed beautiful views of Mount Ungaran every morning. The breakfast was delicious, with a different menu offered daily – absolutely fantastic!
One thing that made us quite reluctant to move was the incredibly long walk from the reception to the elevators. The restaurant is also quite a trek from the elevators, which is understandable given how massive this hotel is. If you're staying alone, I wouldn't recommend this hotel; you might get the creeps walking around by yourself, haha!
However, if you're with a big group and kids, it's fine and not spooky. But precisely because the hotel is so huge, the distances to the elevators and restaurant are considerable, and it can feel incredibly deserted! 😭😭😱😱

OOng HartonoThe service was excellent, and the location is quite convenient—just a short walk to Lawang Sewu. Overall, a great stay! However, the breakfast could use more variety. It would be nice to see some local Semarang options like pecel or other traditional dishes. That said, the nasi goreng was absolutely amazing—hands down the best I've ever had!

TTrip_EdoCheck in process took so long, at 3:30 pm the room was still not ready, after being push to be ready, they gave me a smoking room and it was at the very end no. 919. The room smelled of cigarettes. The towels were bad and stained, the TV and room furniture were old. Valet parking is available, breakfast is just standard, not worth staying at this hotel.

EEkoromattqueen room type for the price of 300 thousand,,i guess like other hotels.it turns out that the position of the room below has no window size of small mattresses the dust is thin per mattress feels on the body.bad cover makes it crunchy. For the location is very strategic, close to the mall and intersection 5
