"As a solo traveler I got a bed in 8 mixed room, the price was affordable as i need a space just to sleep. The bathroom was clean, the room mates were respectful. The only problem was the common room( the hall ) it was closed most of the times, either for cleaning or for activity from 3rd party , which I accept that and I don’t mind it at all, but some people does. Overall I love it and I’ll do it again"

GGuest UserThe hotel is right next to the subway, and it's also very convenient to walk to Central Station and Queen Street Station. The apartment-style rooms are suitable for all types of travelers, especially with a kitchen available (the only downside is no cooking oil or seasonings). During our stay, we experienced two fire alarms (once in the room, once for the entire building). Perhaps due to the language barrier, the response didn't seem very well handled. Guests spontaneously moved outside the building, and because it was so sudden, we weren't dressed warmly enough. We saw some people with emergency blankets, but we didn't know how to get one. Hotel staff came out and said they needed to wait to confirm the source of the alarm, but afterward, we just saw other guests returning to the hotel and followed them back. We never found out what happened until we checked out. Other than that, everything else was good, and I still recommend choosing them.

GGuest UserI really enjoyed my stay at the hotel . The room was spotless and you can tell the housekeeping team puts real effort into maintaining high standard . I also loved how spacious the room was , it made the stay more relaxing and comfortable.
The only small downside the room didn’t include slippers , a bathrobe or toothpaste. These are small details , but the do make a difference and are usually appreciated after along day of travel .
Overall , I had a very comfortable experience and would happily stay here again

It's acceptably central and well-positioned for accessing all the key attractions, restaurants, and transport options without needing long trips or taxis everywhere. For a short stay, it was exactly what I needed—convenient, practical, and saved a lot of time wandering around. No major complaints; it made the visit smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone on a quick getaway!

CCARY2707The hotel and the room is good n the location is kind of convenient but there is no indication for the shortest route there.
Actually the kitchen food there was really good, however, it is not available after 20:00. Therefore, I had to go outside again for food after a long day for sightseeing. Therefore, I suggest the hotel can think about prolonging the kitchen time to let more people enjoy their food.

GGuest UserExcellent experience overall. Hotel centrally located and well maintained but above all quiet. After a good nights sleep, the day starts with a very good all you can eat breakfast. Staff were very helpful. I would highly recommend this establishment.

RRRosssWe stayed at Sandman for its proximity to Hydro for a concert. In that regard the location was good, an easy 20 minute walk. Glasgow is super hilly so be aware if you’re walking anywhere. The hotel was very good, excellent breakfast, superb nice staff. Clean rooms, fit my family of 4 well enough!

MMinimeet2233Great location, super close to city centre and very convenient. Staff members are always helpful and super friendly. On my final night there was a storm in Scotland and staff was super helpful with trying to see if they can book me for one extra night just in case if trains don’t run the next day :) really happy with the service. Breakfast has good selection!
Room is okay, the AC seemed a bit old and broken but still works, temperature in the room is fine!

AAnonymous UserFriendly receptionists, booked the room pretty last minute and got a free room upgrade. The room had the bare minimum of what you would expect to have, location wise, it is right above the Charing Cross station, but it’s a pretty far walk from the main area

However finding it was an unexpected challenge. Walking from Hyndland station what appeared to be the hotel appeared as I passed the hospital on the left. But where was the entrance? No signs along the footpath, so turned left onto Great Western Road to arrive at a petrol station. I could see the Leonardo , but again no entrance and no obvious way to find one. So, off I set back to the road where the hospital was located. I could see the hotel but no sign of any reception. Eventually I walked round the back and found my way in. Only the following morning did I discover that there was a pedestrian cut through to the petrol station
I've been to many hotels in my 73 years, but this one went out of it's way to play hard to find.
Maybe the owners assume everyone will arrive car and their satnav will guide them .
My advice to the owners. Put some signs up
