"Clean tidy space. This room doesn’t come with a kitchen etc as all food is available at the restaurants at wangxian valley. The service was great we has a free shuttle that can take you and your luggage to and from your hotel the worker were amazing!! They take your luggage for you without hesitation and are always timely. Everyone is kind mainly one of the elderly female cleaners who always says hello with a smile and ask if we would like a clean. I wish the CEI WEI room we stayed in had a view as requested as the windows were quite small but they explained this prior to check in and confirmed if we were ok with it which was nice. Great room location as well it is right in the middle of the main foyer and breakfast buffet and the tourist area of the valley so you don’t have to walk too far up or down!"

The hotel is close to the train station but free from the noise of urban rail, allowing you to enjoy a quiet and comfortable night.
"A solid five-star review, my stay was absolutely flawless. The front desk service was warm and professional, and both check-in and check-out were quick and efficient. They arrange airport/station transfers based on the day's schedule, but you need to book in advance! The room's hygiene standards are very high; the entire space was clean and fresh. The bedding was soft and comfortable against the skin, and the soundproofing was excellent—I couldn't hear any noise from the hallway at all. The bathroom facilities worked well with stable water pressure, making for a truly comfortable daily stay. The hotel's location is superb, very close to shopping and dining. The common areas are clean and tidy, and the overall quality far exceeds other hotels in the same price range. Attention to detail is evident everywhere. It's perfectly suited for both business trips and leisure travel. Highly recommended, next time I'm in town, Fengzhen will be my first choice."

"The room is located within a 'tulou', a traditional circular community dwelling. It is fully decked out with modern facilities and amenities so it's kinda cool to experience the accomodation. I've seen the original ones in the Fujian province so this is quite interesting. The room is very comfortable. And the breakfast buffet is absolutely lavish - almost like having a full on lunch with lunch dishes but it does also come Chinese and western breakfast items too Upon checked in, we were added to the hotel's Wechat concierge, Xiao Kuang 小匡 - basically the go-to person for all questions related to your stay. If we need direction, recommended routes in Wangxian Valley, daily activities/performances at which location which time....we can ask Xiao Kuang. I do appreciate this service! We don't have to look for someone at the reception counter. Mobile engament is so much easier! What I like about Wangxian Valley is the beautifully renovated buildings that are very Instagrammable. But be prepared to walk down the hill from the accomodation and back up again when you return later at night. There is a shuttle bus that we can take but we didn't figure out where was the pick up point. Thank you to Xiao Kuang for the pleasant stay."

"Shangrao Yuexi New Century Grand Hotel Kaiyuan was an absolute revelation! This Huizhou-style garden hotel, nestled at the foot of Lingshan Mountain, with its white walls, dark tiles, and quaint bridges over flowing streams, felt like stepping into a traditional Chinese ink painting. The lobby, a renovated ancient house, boasts old trees and bluestone slabs everywhere, creating an incredibly serene atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and elegant, furnished with wooden pieces and equipped with smart devices. The bedding is super soft, and you get stunning mountain views right from your window. The service was impeccable; the front desk staff were very welcoming, and the shuttle bus was always available on call. Breakfast offered authentic local specialties like Qianshan hot noodles and Dengzhan Guo, which were delicious. We also got to experience Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) for free, and the courtyard was perfect for photos. Overall, it's a quiet and comfortable place that perfectly blends cultural charm with a relaxing holiday vibe. Highly recommend!"

"First off, the help from Huan Huan the Housekeeper was exceptional; every need and whim was anticipated well in advance. This cliffside guesthouse is undoubtedly the best place to stay if you want to take in all the scenery of Wangxian Valley. Surrounded by mountains and lush greenery, the valley is perpetually filled with a subtle fragrance of plants. On clear days, the contours of the mountains and water are sharp and distinct, with blue skies and white clouds framing the dark peaks. When it's foggy, the entire valley is enveloped in a light mist, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of an ancient Chinese ink wash painting. The guest room windows directly face the canyon, allowing you to witness the changing scenery throughout the day without even stepping out. A big thank you to Huan Huan, our housekeeper, who was incredibly knowledgeable about the mountain views and recommended superb viewing spots, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the unique tranquility of the wilderness."

"The Muchen Hotel is conveniently located to the right of Shangrao High-Speed Railway Station and the East Bus Station, just a ten-minute walk away. However, the area around the hotel feels a bit remote, with no restaurants or dining options nearby (this wouldn't be an issue for those traveling by car). For guests without a car, or those who prefer not to walk far, or elderly individuals with mobility issues, this could be quite inconvenient. Inside the hotel, the hygiene is excellent; the rooms are clean and tidy. Basic amenities like lighting and central air conditioning are good, and the bathroom features a wet/dry separation. There's also a washing machine and dryer available. The staff, from the front desk to the housekeeping team on the floors, are all very dedicated and responsible. Any minor issues were promptly addressed. During check-in, since the room type I booked was full, the front desk proactively offered me a room upgrade, which I greatly appreciated! I originally intended to give Muchen Hotel a five-star rating, but due to the catering department's head, whose impersonal and sharp-tongued manner negatively impacted the hotel's overall image, I'm giving it a 3.5 to 4-star rating instead."

"An old established hotel in Shangrao! There was a 24-hour welcome tea service next to the front desk when I checked in, and the staff were warm and friendly. The room hygiene was impeccable, spotless and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay. The handwritten welcome letter was a particularly thoughtful touch, really showing the owner's sincerity. Little details were considered everywhere, creating a strong sense of home and human warmth. A perfect stay experience!"

"Right upon arrival, I was charmed by the lady at the front desk. I casually asked her for good local food recommendations, and she earnestly provided us with some excellent restaurant suggestions. I was initially worried that a mountain hotel would be boring, but from check-in onwards, everything was perfectly arranged and taken care of. I really have to commend the hotel's service-oriented mindset; it didn't feel like staying at a hotel at all, but more like visiting a friend's house!
