"I recently stayed at the Grand Bavaro Princess Resort in Punta Cana for 4 nights, and unfortunately my experience was extremely disappointing due to a THEFT. After returning home, I discovered that jewelry I had carefully stored inside a pouch within my makeup and skincare bag was missing. These were not items left out in the open — they were placed בתוך my personal belongings, which indicates that someone went through my things. During my stay, my sunglasses also disappeared. At the time, I assumed I had misplaced them and even checked with Lost & Found, but nothing was reported. Given what I discovered later, I now believe those were stolen as well. This situation is very distressing. Beyond the monetary value, the jewelry had sentimental importance as they were gifts. What is most concerning is the lack of security — guests should feel safe leaving their belongings in their room without fear of someone searching through their personal items. I have contacted the hotel and requested an investigation, but I want to make other travelers aware of this experience. I strongly recommend exercising caution if staying at this resort. "Bathrooms need some renovation. After taking a shower, the whole bathroom gets wet. Also,breakfast options should be made more foreigner friendly as well as employing people who can speak English. Overall, it’s a comfortable place to lodge with big comfortable beds and nice swimming pool."

"This resort was beautiful and had lots to do. Children are allowed, there’s a kids area and even a teen hang out. There are multiple pools and a beach. There are about 5 specialty restaurants that open at night, but require reservations—I ate at Fogo and it was delicious. During the day, there’s a buffet snack bar, coffee shop, and icecream bar available, plus a sports bar that’s open 24/7. In the evenings, the lobby has entertainment, including shows and a DJ. Theres a trolly that comes every few minutes to take you around the resort if you don’t want to walk. One of my favorite parts was the beautiful wildlife roaming the resort and the amazing service staff—most were very friendly and welcoming. I wouldn’t consider this a party resort; it’s more geared toward families and low-key fun. Definitely check out the beach bar—John and Gerson are fantastic bartenders, very friendly and entertaining. There’s also a snack buffet there that overlooks the beach, so you can enjoy a nice breeze while you eat. I traveled Solo. My only downside was the rooms. They each had a balcony, and really could have been great, but cleanliness could be greatly improved. I had to change rooms twice—first due to the AC not working, then because the balcony door wouldn’t lock. All 3 rooms weren’t very clean mainly the bathrooms. Im not a picky person so By the third room I had both locked doors and ac, so I just went with it lol. On the positive side, they did upgrade me to a larger room, which I appreciated. I did feel like some of the front desk staff was not very friendly or accommodating. Neither of those issues were my fault and it seem like a bother or hassle for them to swap my room. Overall, it’s a lovely resort with great amenities, and a relaxing atmosphere. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a safe, beautiful place to unwind with family or enjoy a laid-back vacation."

"Ocean Blue is a medium size resort. Not small. Not huge like Iberostar. However it has lots of fine dining (5) onsite just like the huge ones. Their beach is perfect with lots of free cabana like shaded seating. Only surprise was our scuba shop was onsite but actual dive boat was 2 resorts down the beach at Iberostar. A 10 minute walk, no problem. This side of island a bit choppy for diving. Smoother on South side. Resort super clean, safe and friendly staff. More young families and older couples. No Spring Break teens! Highly recommend this resort for families."

"The complex is nice and the rooms are comfy. I sent an email with some questions / request a week before arrival and they never replied. The food quality wasn't great, my father got intoxicated with something there and we also found a piece of hair in the food. Some people were a bit rude. Zero options for gluten free. The reception and cafes are far from the rooms so you need to take a minibus which is not confortable. Restaurants were always fully booked but they looked empty when walking around."

"It has been a pleasant stay. The customer service provided by the hotel has been satisfactory in general. The all-inclusive offer could be improved from my point of view. And for that price it could have included the transfer. Improvable facilities, especially the gym, which is not suitable for this hotel, is very small and inaccessible, it seems like a maze to enter. And the spa is also very poor and not even included in the offer of the all-inclusive package with a superior room. When in Spain 90% is included both services, transfer and spa. Great hotel, great chain, but my face of satisfaction for some other things remains indifferent for that reason... The variety in the food buffet was not too much either... it is compensated by the customer service and the environment of virgin beaches. Then a detail is the overweight in terms of street vendors outside and inside the enclosure...even with the massages..."

"Most of the waiters can’t communicate well in English, causing many things to go wrong. The restaurant requires an appointment except for the two buffets. The food in the international restaurant is very dirty. My friend ordered an appetizer. There were more than 10 bugs on the table. The scene of climbing out of the food is shocking and the restaurant is very inefficient but the hotel is well located. A taxi from Punta Cana Airport is 30 dollars, downtown is 10 dollars, and Blue mall is 25 dollars."

"The owner, Marco was a life saver! He knows everyone in town and directed me to the services I needed, such as mobile Internet. One of the staff there named Victor was a great help for me in town with translations and even helped me carry groceries. They have a restaurant with awesome food. It’s just a block away from the beach. They are basic, not so fancy, but everything I needed. Most of all they have a great staff, helpful… and that goes a long ways with me."

"1. This is an old hotel with a particularly good beach location. I once walked six kilometers along the beach and found that the beach of this hotel can be said to be the best among the resort hotels in a string along the coast of Punta Cana. 2. How about the service? It's basically OK. The room cleaning staff and restaurant service staff are very good, but the front desk staff is just so-so. It takes at least 20 minutes to check in. They are slow and indifferent to guests. 3. If you ask the bellhop at the door to call a taxi for you, you must confirm the price repeatedly to prevent the bellhop and the taxi driver from cheating you. Of course, the money cheated will not be much, maybe only three or five US dollars, but when you know that you have been cheated, although the money is not much, it is still very unpleasant to be treated like a **. 4. On the first day of check-in, there was a strong musty smell in the room. After calling the hotel customer service, they quickly changed the full set of pillows, quilts, etc., and sprayed a lot of freshener, so the musty smell was suppressed.
