Guests tell us the location of this hotel is fantastic.
"We stayed at New Star from late April to early May. The hotel is located on Chaweng Noi Beach, which, in our opinion, is the best beach for swimming, clear water, seclusion, and hotel quality. New Star itself consists of several small buildings, bungalows, and villas nestled on a hillside that slopes down to the beach, featuring a huge panoramic pool. The way everything is built and covered by lush vegetation is so intricate that even by the end of our stay, we could still get a little lost looking for our room. The room layout and amenities make for a very comfortable stay, and the housekeeping is excellent. Breakfasts were perfectly adequate and fitting for the hotel's star rating, with various dim sum options available. The staff were incredibly attentive, responding to every request instantly and always with a smile. They even celebrated my birthday with a complimentary cake. There were always plenty of free sun loungers available on the beach and by the pool, and the tree canopies provided reliable shade from the sun. We visited the gym twice a day; there were enough machines and equipment, and water, towels, and disinfectants were provided. In summary, we wholeheartedly recommend this hotel if you're looking for a peaceful, relaxed getaway on a beautiful beach."

"I had a great experience with staying in Anavana resort - cosy apartment with boutique furniture and details like aromacosmethics. Very clean both room and territory. The location is also great for me - not in the noisy center of Chaweng but still easy to reach by feet or songteo, fruit shop, 7-eleven are right at the entrance of the lobby as well as many restaurants options nearby. The beach is very clean with fine white and and smooth slope. Thai lesson was as surprising bonus. Next time visiting Samui will definitely choose this resort again."

"Services were excellent with staff always willing to offer help and care about your needs. The pool in the room was absolutely the best that we have ever been to, which was large enough with jacuzzi function so that we could have fun and enjoy it for a long time. However there were quite a lot of ants around the pool and inside the room, but understood it's becos of the environment near the nature. It's too bad the breakfast place was relocated to Hue and the food quality was okay. Overall it's a fantastic experience for us!"

"All in all, hotel is good. But for this price I recommend you to go to Maldives. Sea is not suitable for swimming, quite dirty and a lot of rocks. Service is quite bad in all restaurants except 2 person: B and, unfortunately, don’t remember a girl’s name who was serving us after check-out in the bar. Also, we were going to next FS property in check out date and wanted a late check-out. How normally it works in real 5* property: you check out around 10 and go to any free villa on island till late check-out (they had free villas that day). And here we needed to wait 2 hours in the bar. Of course, I won’t choose this place again as it’s not you are expected when you know how it normally works in real good property."

"Wonderful hotel! We really enjoyed everything; you feel a true connection with nature here. They have various entertainment activities scheduled at the hotel. "The hotel is a bit dated, but it makes up for it with beautiful views and a very peaceful atmosphere. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive throughout our stay, which made a big difference. The room was huge and comfortable. Unfortunately, the bathtub wasn’t working during our stay, but the staff were quick to respond and helpful. The place is quiet and perfect if you’re looking to relax. The pool was amazing, with a stunning view, and the breakfast was excellent. The beach view was nice as well, though not the main highlight compared to the pool and overall scenery. Overall, a relaxing stay with great service, beautiful views, and a calm vibe, despite the hotel showing its age."
