"1.Location Even tranport has been arranged hotel is little fr city center and activities there.Last transport fr city far too early.Taxi cost about 400 bath. 2.Restaurant is not cozy at all and buffe is only sufficent. Rrstaurant prizes are too high compared with city prizes. 3.Accomodation with pool is very attractive and good. Little detail is that bathrope and slippers are far fr comfortable.Bathrope is like it is used in prison and with slippers You cannot walk. 4.All staff is very friendly and helpful. 5 Many spots at hotel needs maintenance."

"This hotel is located on Chaweng Beach, very close to the airport. I was quite apprehensive before arriving, not knowing what to expect. But once I got there, I realized I made the right choice. The hotel is beautiful. We booked a room in the same building as the front desk, and they upgraded us to a king-size bed plus a small bed. The restaurant and villa rooms are across the street, offering breakfast with a stunning sea view every day. After breakfast, you can just grab a lounge chair and enjoy the incredible scenery, sitting there facing the ocean all day long. Most of the guests are from Europe and America. The front desk staff and restaurant servers are all very enthusiastic and helpful, answering every question. Room cleaning is also quick and thorough. The hotel offers massages at reasonable prices, and the pasta, burgers, pizzas, and drinks at the restaurant are all delicious and moderately priced. The only thing to note is that the road leading from the main street to the hotel is a bit steep with uphill and downhill sections, which can be a bit tiring if you're pulling luggage."

"As a solo female traveller I felt very safe here. It’s out the way nothing around but good and drink on premises and other resorts close buy to visit. Outside shower was a great addition and really makes you feel like you’re in a jungle !"

"The room was fantastic — big, clean, with a good interior and great materials. However, the bathroom does not separate the wet and dry zones. There is a big bathtub attached to the toilet. You have to shower in the bathtub and everything gets wet The hotel seems to be short-staffed, which affects the overall service quality. The staff seemed too tired, which is why they were not very friendly. there was a lack of coordination between the breakfast area and the front desk staff. The parking area was quite limited and narrow Even though I requested special needs through the Trip App. I did not receive them."

"Great location on the beach front, plus in the party area of Koh Sumai. Easy walk to cafes, restaurants, and bars. Many small shops for shopping, for clothes, bags, swimwear and much more, mainly set up for the happy tourists. Again, it is close to a shopping mall, with quite a few high-end retailers. The hotel is older but in reasonable condition. Our room was comfortable, clean. The bedding was ok, clean and comfortable. The restaurant on site was on the beach front, along with the pool. The food at the restaurant was quite good, with a good variety. The pool is dated but a popular spot for the guests. Our room had one problem, and that was a funky smell in the bathroom. It was quite overwhelming at times. The shower pressure was ok. The WiFi was ok. Staff were very helpful when needed. Bonus is able to rent motor scooters through the hotel. Overall a very enjoyable stay."

"Perfect location fr everything u needed.Greenery,clean area overall. Staffs all departments r very friendly which makes u feel welcome here.Room is spacious with comfy bed. The only drawback is the sound of aircon is quite loudly n difficult to adjust(compressor outside behind bath room as well,our room is shino type) For the noise frm beach club next door we didnt really hear it. Bf is quite on average nothing extra.Beachfront is very lovely,nice long beach to walk along. We had only 2 night’s staying here as a drop off frm Koh Tao but we love the stay at this hotel so much n think of make a new booking fr next yr already.  ps; some ppl might get irritated by noise of planes take on n off but that s just fine fr us."

"I had a great stay at this hotel. The staff were welcoming and helpful from check-in to check-out. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with all i needed. The location was convenient, close to restaurants, which made getting around easy. I especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere and comfortable bed, it made for a really relaxing stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again"

"We really enjoyed our stay at White sands. It seemed really good value for money. We stayed 11 nights with our family. We had three basic rooms. The rooms were really spacious and even had a glimpse of the sea from the balcony with a nice green view. We enjoyed the beach, though a couple of days the waves were too big to enter, but overall this part of the beach is not crowded and great for swimming, as it’s not too shallow, like Choengmon, which is more suitable for little kids and a little more crowded. The pool was also great with kids and for wavy days. Walking distance there is a neat view point and grandma-grandpa rocks, which are an attraction here. The restaurant service was sometimes extremely slow, however once in a while it’s nice to have the option of eating decently and not having to go anywhere far. Some things in the hotel might need a touch of maintenance, like the ACs - they’re a little old and noisy and blow strong right on the beds. We didn’t opt for the breakfast, bought once or twice on the spot, to keep our options open as there are pretty nice places around with bagels, pancakes or omelettes. The road, as mentioned in some previous comments didn’t bother us at all. It takes a couple minutes to walk to the main road with 7-eleven, fruit spot with amazing papaya and mango, pharmacies. Limaya Garden cafe is a little hidden gem of a cafe on the way to view point. Overall, the hotel was great for a relaxing vacation, seems like it has a lot of potential, hope it thrives!"

"My time at Sand Sea Beach Resort was overwhelmingly positive, thanks to the incredible hospitality and attention to detail. While there was a small mix-up on the first day—I was placed in a sea-view room instead of the beachfront room I’d booked—the staff promptly corrected the error the next day. Though I wish the transition had been seamless, the rooms were equally priced, and the team handled the situation professionally. Beyond that, the service here is outstanding. The staff’s thoughtfulness surpassed even my experiences at five-star hotels—they genuinely care about guest comfort. One evening when I stayed offsite, they even reached out via WhatsApp to check on me! I regret not catching the names of the help desk team, as they were all exceptional. As for the beachfront room, it was breathtaking. Waking up to floor-to-ceiling views of the ocean felt like a dream. The resort’s atmosphere, combined with the staff’s warmth, made this a memorable stay. Minor rooming issue aside, I highly recommend Sand Sea Beach Resort. They’re clearly dedicated to excellence, and I’d gladly return. A bright future awaits this team!"

"The cliffside hotel had beautiful views, but unfortunately, it only had one infinity pool. The beach was a walk from another resort, and besides the pool, there wasn't much to offer. The rooms were old and dilapidated, the lighting was dim, and there were many steps, causing me to fall and injure myself repeatedly. The staff, however, were all very friendly and provided excellent service."
