"We recently stayed at the Sarann Hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel is very clean, and the staff were professional and attentive. Our room was neatly cleaned every day, and fresh water was always provided.
The pool was a highlight and definitely one of the top features of the hotel.
On the downside, we did notice an unpleasant odor near the drains when walking from our room to the lobby and restaurant area. Also, the water pressure in the bathroom was not great; it took a long time to fill the bathtub. The TV channels were limited, and we didn't really use the television during our stay.
Another factor to consider is the location. The hotel sits at a corner, making it a bit tricky and potentially dangerous to cross the road due to traffic from both sides.
Lastly, the beach near the hotel wasn’t very clean, with quite a bit of litter washed up, but that’s not something the hotel can control. The resturant's food is the best we've had on the island. 10/10

"Останавливались в этом отеле на три дня. Зеленая территория, ухоженная. Шикарный завтрак. Очень понравились шоты с имбирем. Разнообразие фруктов, хамон, лосось, зелень. Красивейший пляж и удобные лежаки. Так как это бунгало и отель утопает в зелени. ..был один маленький нюанс..к нам забежали несколько тараканов. Обратились к персоналу и тараканов убрали из номера. Есть ещё комары, надо быстро заходить в домик, чтоб их не запустить. А так отель прекрасен!"

"Great stay in a more rural, laid back part of Koh Samui. We personally don't like the touristy strips that are evident in parts of the island, you know, lined with shops doing massage, tattoo, bar, generic Thai/western restaurant repeat. Hired a scooter and did some lovely exploring. Good swim/SUP spot too ( I enjoy long distance swims), awesome spots for sundowners and some nice local restaurants in the area. Our room was spacious, clean and had all the facilities I needed (kettle, A/C, safe, nice shower). I can't comment on the food as we didn't eat at the hotel but it seemed busy enough and it is a lovely location, right on the beach"

"The gold of this place is the staff! Staff was very helpful! I hope managment pays more attention to the infrastructure of the hotel. Hotel is near the beach but close to the road. So make sure u get a villa, not a room if u don't like motor noise. Our room was upgraded but the noise was unbelievable. However staff tried to help and showed us other rooms.Place had better days for sure. Breakfast was good. Pools and other facilities are okish. Internet in our room was almost 10%. Over all it is ok true 3 star hotel. Again staff was fantastic!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at White sands. It seemed really good value for money. We stayed 11 nights with our family. We had three basic rooms. The rooms were really spacious and even had a glimpse of the sea from the balcony with a nice green view.
We enjoyed the beach, though a couple of days the waves were too big to enter, but overall this part of the beach is not crowded and great for swimming, as it’s not too shallow, like Choengmon, which is more suitable for little kids and a little more crowded.
The pool was also great with kids and for wavy days.
Walking distance there is a neat view point and grandma-grandpa rocks, which are an attraction here.
The restaurant service was sometimes extremely slow, however once in a while it’s nice to have the option of eating decently and not having to go anywhere far.
Some things in the hotel might need a touch of maintenance, like the ACs - they’re a little old and noisy and blow strong right on the beds.
We didn’t opt for the breakfast, bought once or twice on the spot, to keep our options open as there are pretty nice places around with bagels, pancakes or omelettes.
The road, as mentioned in some previous comments didn’t bother us at all. It takes a couple minutes to walk to the main road with 7-eleven, fruit spot with amazing papaya and mango, pharmacies.
Limaya Garden cafe is a little hidden gem of a cafe on the way to view point.
Overall, the hotel was great for a relaxing vacation, seems like it has a lot of potential, hope it thrives!"

"The hotel doesn't quite live up to a 5-star rating. However, it does have pleasant grounds, two pools, and a restaurant. The breakfasts are decent, with a good variety on offer, but they're rather uninspired and not particularly delicious. On the plus side, the coffee is good. The cocktails at the bar during the day were disappointing (we tried a Piña Colada once and weren't tempted to order another).
A major highlight is the excellent direct beach access with sun loungers. The beach itself is fantastic. We were very pleased to see security on the beach who also helped set up umbrellas and arrange sun loungers. There's also a staff member with a first aid kit to treat cuts from corals – a very thoughtful touch (which we actually needed assistance with).
Among the obvious drawbacks, the soundproofing in the rooms is extremely poor. We ended up with noisy neighbors who were also smoking ******** on their balcony (though it's legalized in Thailand). As a result, our room smelled terrible, and the noisy parties made it impossible for us to relax.
On the bright side, when we reported this to reception, they immediately gave us a key to another room so we could get some much-needed sleep there, which we did.
In terms of service, the hotel staff deserves a 5/5. Housekeeping and room comfort would get a 3/5 each, and breakfasts a 4/5. Overall, I'd give it a four out of five."

There's plenty to do nearby, with Ao Chaweng Yai, LAVALED SAMUI (Chaweng Walking Arcade) and Sin By Night all within a short distance. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. According to our guests, the location of this hotel is one of the best around.
"Excellent hotel. I stayed in a villa located on the seashore. The hotel itself is simply a fairy tale!!! You walk through the jungle, surrounded on both sides by bamboo and tropical forest))) Impressive!!! And in these tropics there are bungalows, really close to each other. You can hear everything, no silence or precariousness. Although living in a villa is like living in a shop window))) nearby there is an area with sun loungers, a bar, a restaurant and a massage area. This hotel greatly specializes in food. An excellent restaurant, large, with two parts - a terrace and on the beach. A huge selection of delicious food!!! The bartenders are superb, such great cocktails))) Overall, the service is excellent!!! A big thank you to the entire hotel team - reception, bartenders, waiters and service staff. You can feel the teamwork))) I want to come back!!!"

"A beautiful quiet retreat, very relaxed atmosphere. Pan (แผน) was so helpful arranging transport for us, and as we were leaving the island quite late, he helped arrange a private tour of the island. In the mornings you can hear elephants from the sanctuary and gibbons in the distance. Unfortunately doesn't seem to be in the right location for a lot of the organized tours to agree to pick you up, they seem to think anywhere 'up the hill' is out of bounds! The food was very good for both breakfast and evening meals. It's not easy to visit other restaurants or convenience stores without transport, but the hotel reception are happy to help arrange drop off and pick up for you. We were 2 couples sharing adjoining rooms, the only criticism we can find is if anything the seating in the rooms was a little uncomfortable if you want to relax I front of the TV, but not really a problem, and we could have done with more space in the refrigerator to keep water cool."

"After arriving later than expected we got a friendly welcome.
The corner room we had on the first floor was amazing, very spacious with a lovely balcony you could sit out on.
The hot pastry I had for breakfast was scrummy and could be taken to my room.
The hotel is on a fairly busy road with a building site further up, you could hear work but this didn't bother us.
Bare in mind that the hotel is NOT staffed during the night!
Would recommend this hotel."
