"This hotel/resort was truly amazing. The view is unbeatable and the pool is amazing. You also get beach access (2min walk) and is a quite beach. You are around 15-18 minutes away from chewang area which makes it a perfect balance if you are looking for peace but also don’t want to be super far from the main things in the island. The room itself was amazing. We had an awesome sea view and the bed was nice. For the price, it was a reasonable room size and great amenities. The breakfast is the one thing I would say it’s less enjoyable. It was normal, nothing wow. The staff were nice and always willing to help with a big smile."

"Lovely setting & staff... Breakfast was amazing and the evening meal was great with lots of choices and fab cocktails, just felt that the bar closed quite early but maybe because it was quiet? Our sea view room with pool was great and we didnt get chance to go to the main pools as only here a few days.. lovely night market within walking distance for live music, food, drink & a few bargains! Would recommend!"

"I absolutely love the hotel; it's now my favorite place on the island. It's stunningly beautiful, clean, and delicious! The breakfasts are delicious and varied, with a variety of fruits, shrimp, and freshly squeezed juice. But the most important thing is the location: you feel like you're somewhere in the jungle, surrounded by the sounds of nature, the river, and the birds. The room is absolutely beautiful, with panoramic windows, a large, beautiful bathroom, and the entire grounds are immersed in greenery, and it's clear the staff loves this place. Thank you, those were wonderful days, I miss them already!"

Enjoy unobstructed 180° sea views from the cliffside, perfect for sunrises and sunsets. The Thai-inspired decor is distinctive, and the spacious rooms are ideal for families or groups of friends, ensuring maximum comfort. Basic services are prompt, and the resort is very quiet, making it perfect for a peaceful getaway. ⚠️ **Cons** Built into the hillside, the hotel is difficult to access by taxi. The winding mountain road leading up to the hotel is very steep. The location is remote with no nearby restaurants or supermarkets, making guests entirely reliant on the hotel's shuttle service. This isn't ideal for independent travelers. Being an older property, facility maintenance is mediocre. Be mindful when running hot water in the bathtub, as it comes from a water tank, and once it's empty, only cold water is available."

"We really enjoyed our stay at White sands. It seemed really good value for money. We stayed 11 nights with our family. We had three basic rooms. The rooms were really spacious and even had a glimpse of the sea from the balcony with a nice green view. We enjoyed the beach, though a couple of days the waves were too big to enter, but overall this part of the beach is not crowded and great for swimming, as it’s not too shallow, like Choengmon, which is more suitable for little kids and a little more crowded. The pool was also great with kids and for wavy days. Walking distance there is a neat view point and grandma-grandpa rocks, which are an attraction here. The restaurant service was sometimes extremely slow, however once in a while it’s nice to have the option of eating decently and not having to go anywhere far. Some things in the hotel might need a touch of maintenance, like the ACs - they’re a little old and noisy and blow strong right on the beds. We didn’t opt for the breakfast, bought once or twice on the spot, to keep our options open as there are pretty nice places around with bagels, pancakes or omelettes. The road, as mentioned in some previous comments didn’t bother us at all. It takes a couple minutes to walk to the main road with 7-eleven, fruit spot with amazing papaya and mango, pharmacies. Limaya Garden cafe is a little hidden gem of a cafe on the way to view point. Overall, the hotel was great for a relaxing vacation, seems like it has a lot of potential, hope it thrives!"

"The room was clean and spacious, and the bedding was comfortable. The pool was absolutely stunning for photos! Right outside the hotel pool is the beach, and there are plenty of convenient restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The front desk staff were gentle and attentive, and the breakfast had a wide variety of options. It's a perfect spot to watch the sunset, making it my top choice for a relaxing getaway."

"We spent 6 nights in the Mekkala and had a great stay. It was very quiet, but very close to restaurants and the beach. Our room was on the ground floor and was very spacious and comfortable. Outside was a patio with pool access right there. Also there was a table and chairs out there along with an area to lounge on a very comfortable couch. Breakfast was available and cooked to order. Everywhere was clean and the staff were really nice. There was a place to hire a car or bike right next door and next door but 1 took in washing, had taxis and could arrange trips which we did. All in all we would definitely recommend this hotel and if we ever return to Samui would definately go back to the Mekkala."

"The staff were very pleasent and accommodating, the pools were nice and clean, unfortunately the beach in front of the hotel is terrible, there is no beach directly in front of the hotel and the rest of the bay is covered in oil and quite unkept."

"A wonderful, quiet, and cozy hotel. Excellent pool with direct beach access. The beach is interesting, but we didn't swim because there was a lot of seaweed in the water. The breakfasts aren't extravagant, but generally sufficient. The grounds are beautifully maintained with a wide variety of trees. The evening lighting is gorgeous. We had a large, spacious bungalow with a kitchen and a veranda. We absolutely loved it and will definitely be back!"

"When planning my trip to Koh Samui, I wasn't sure which area to stay in, but ultimately, I chose this hotel based on reviews and its excellent value for money. It's a charming hotel with a resort-like atmosphere, and overall, I was very satisfied. My room was a loft style, with the bedroom on the second floor and a large bathtub on the first, complete with a stylish touch of floating petals. My only minor complaint would be the unstable water pressure and fluctuating temperature in the shower. While not a huge issue given the hot climate, it's something to be aware of if you're particular about that. The hotel is about 2-3km from the bustling downtown area, so it's nice and quiet at night."
