"We had a very quiet and romantic stay in the sarann Koh Samui, perfect for couples who want privacy and a peaceful environment. The location and amenities were great, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. However, the bed was a bit too soft for our preference, the Wi-Fi connection was quite poor during our stay, and one of the lamps in the room was not working. Overall, it’s a lovely place for a romantic getaway, but a few small improvements would make the experience even better."

"Our recent stay at the Royal Mueang Samui Resort was nothing short of spectacular, offering a perfect blend of serene opulence and vibrant tropical life. From the moment we arrived, the resort’s beautiful setting captivated us, nestled within a lovely, protected harbour that ensured calm, swimmable waters and a profound sense of tranquility. The property itself is a masterpiece of Thai design, with lush, manicured gardens leading to a deep, inviting pool area and a pristine, clean beach dotted with comfortable chaise lounges. It was the ideal spot to unwind with a book or simply listen to the gentle waves. Our room was a haven of quiet luxury, providing a peaceful retreat after days filled with sunshine. The facilities are top-tier, but what truly elevates the experience is the staff. Incredibly attentive and genuinely warm, they anticipated our needs with a smile, making us feel truly valued. The resort also masterfully balances relaxation with entertainment. We particularly enjoyed the fun weekly BBQ night on the beach, where a dazzling fire show lit up the palm-fringed sky, complemented by talented live singers who created a magical atmosphere. Dining was a consistent delight. The sumptuous breakfast buffet offered an astounding variety of international and local dishes, setting us up perfectly for the day. A highlight was arranging a romantic dinner on the beach—an unforgettable experience of exquisite food with sand between our toes. For a change of pace, a short stroll placed us amidst plenty of local shops and cafes, though the resort’s allure often made it hard to leave. The Royal Mueang Samui is a rare find—a peaceful, luxurious sanctuary that also knows how to have a little fun. We left feeling utterly pampered and are already dreaming of our return."

"I booked a deluxe room with sea view. The room was on the ground floor with a view to the pool. Technically, you could see at the very end of the long pool, between the heads of the people swimming, the blue of the sea. It is very disappointing to book a sea view room and get this, it is not the room in the pictures. Lightning was awful, very bright. You could have of all light on or none of them."

"After arriving later than expected we got a friendly welcome. The corner room we had on the first floor was amazing, very spacious with a lovely balcony you could sit out on. The hot pastry I had for breakfast was scrummy and could be taken to my room. The hotel is on a fairly busy road with a building site further up, you could hear work but this didn't bother us. Bare in mind that the hotel is NOT staffed during the night! Would recommend this hotel."

"We really enjoyed our stay at White sands. It seemed really good value for money. We stayed 11 nights with our family. We had three basic rooms. The rooms were really spacious and even had a glimpse of the sea from the balcony with a nice green view. We enjoyed the beach, though a couple of days the waves were too big to enter, but overall this part of the beach is not crowded and great for swimming, as it’s not too shallow, like Choengmon, which is more suitable for little kids and a little more crowded. The pool was also great with kids and for wavy days. Walking distance there is a neat view point and grandma-grandpa rocks, which are an attraction here. The restaurant service was sometimes extremely slow, however once in a while it’s nice to have the option of eating decently and not having to go anywhere far. Some things in the hotel might need a touch of maintenance, like the ACs - they’re a little old and noisy and blow strong right on the beds. We didn’t opt for the breakfast, bought once or twice on the spot, to keep our options open as there are pretty nice places around with bagels, pancakes or omelettes. The road, as mentioned in some previous comments didn’t bother us at all. It takes a couple minutes to walk to the main road with 7-eleven, fruit spot with amazing papaya and mango, pharmacies. Limaya Garden cafe is a little hidden gem of a cafe on the way to view point. Overall, the hotel was great for a relaxing vacation, seems like it has a lot of potential, hope it thrives!"

"The gold of this place is the staff! Staff was very helpful! I hope managment pays more attention to the infrastructure of the hotel. Hotel is near the beach but close to the road. So make sure u get a villa, not a room if u don't like motor noise. Our room was upgraded but the noise was unbelievable. However staff tried to help and showed us other rooms.Place had better days for sure. Breakfast was good. Pools and other facilities are okish. Internet in our room was almost 10%. Over all it is ok true 3 star hotel. Again staff was fantastic!"

"The hotel doesn't quite live up to a 5-star rating. However, it does have pleasant grounds, two pools, and a restaurant. The breakfasts are decent, with a good variety on offer, but they're rather uninspired and not particularly delicious. On the plus side, the coffee is good. The cocktails at the bar during the day were disappointing (we tried a Piña Colada once and weren't tempted to order another). A major highlight is the excellent direct beach access with sun loungers. The beach itself is fantastic. We were very pleased to see security on the beach who also helped set up umbrellas and arrange sun loungers. There's also a staff member with a first aid kit to treat cuts from corals – a very thoughtful touch (which we actually needed assistance with). Among the obvious drawbacks, the soundproofing in the rooms is extremely poor. We ended up with noisy neighbors who were also smoking ******** on their balcony (though it's legalized in Thailand). As a result, our room smelled terrible, and the noisy parties made it impossible for us to relax. On the bright side, when we reported this to reception, they immediately gave us a key to another room so we could get some much-needed sleep there, which we did. In terms of service, the hotel staff deserves a 5/5. Housekeeping and room comfort would get a 3/5 each, and breakfasts a 4/5. Overall, I'd give it a four out of five."

"We stayed here in April 2025. We moved to Lipa Noi from Chaweng Noi beach, as we were looking for a more rustic, village-like vibe. A few days before check-in, we drove past the hotel. From the road, I must say, it looks quite unremarkable, and we started to doubt our choice. However, the hotel lived up to our expectations. Excellent value for money. We booked a villa with a small private pool. After researching all the hotels on the island, this was the best deal we found on Koh Samui for a private pool – couldn't find anything cheaper. Rooms in this category are located across the road from the main building, but this wasn't an issue at all. The room was excellent: clean, quiet, and had everything we needed, including a new bathroom. It also featured a small private fenced-off area with its own sun loungers and umbrella, and a mini-pool with a waterfall and lighting. We definitely wished the pool was deeper; we're used to small pools, but not quite *this* shallow 😅. Still, it was perfectly fine for cooling off on a hot day. The only downside in the room was the transparent ceiling in the bathroom, which made it very stuffy during the day. When booking, we chose between this room and a Tropical villa with a mini-pool in the hotel's main area. If you value privacy, definitely book the villa across the road. Despite the lush greenery, all the pools in the Tropical villas are visible from the hotel pathways. **Regarding the location:** This is where we truly fell in love with Koh Samui. It's a small village, but it has everything you need. Within walking distance of the hotel, there are several cafes and massage places, a currency exchange, and a 7/11 not far away. However, a scooter is still essential. The roads here are empty and very scenic. Not far, if you drive towards the pier, there's an excellent family-run cafe with very reasonable prices and delicious food. The hotel has a compact, green property with small bridges and ponds with fish. There's also a large parking lot. The breakfasts were decent, and it was quiet and peaceful; there weren't many guests in April. There were always empty sun loungers on the beach and by the main pool, even though there weren't many to begin with. The massage service was a bit pricey; given the low number of guests, they could have offered a discount, which would have made us less inclined to look for massages elsewhere. The beach itself is very quiet, with a narrow strip of light, clean, and soft sand – it's aesthetically pleasing for a stroll. However, the sea in April was not swimmable. It was shallow, with stagnant, warm, greenish water and a very silty bottom. I had read reviews, but I wasn't prepared for just *how* bad it was. In total, we only went into the sea once and didn't attempt it again. The main pool was also boiling hot, so our mini-pool was a lifesaver."

"Great stay in a more rural, laid back part of Koh Samui. We personally don't like the touristy strips that are evident in parts of the island, you know, lined with shops doing massage, tattoo, bar, generic Thai/western restaurant repeat. Hired a scooter and did some lovely exploring. Good swim/SUP spot too ( I enjoy long distance swims), awesome spots for sundowners and some nice local restaurants in the area. Our room was spacious, clean and had all the facilities I needed (kettle, A/C, safe, nice shower). I can't comment on the food as we didn't eat at the hotel but it seemed busy enough and it is a lovely location, right on the beach"

"Great relaxing place with neat and clean room and excellent service. It’s about ~2KM from the happening places like Central Samui and the Green Mango!! The swimming pool facing the beach / sea is amazing!! Food & drinks were great as well!! You can rent a motor bike at the hotel if needed!!"
