EEmmanuel X C B BThis hotel boasts an excellent location, just over a 10-minute walk from the Grand Palace and also a 10-minute walk to Khao San Road. It's very convenient for taking a boat from the Chao Phraya River pier; the pier is straight ahead from the front entrance of the Grand Palace, where you can catch a boat for 40 baht. There are many small restaurants and supermarkets next to the hotel, but note that most restaurants are open during the day and close in the evening. The staff are very friendly, always smiling, and highly professional. Do note that the rooms do not provide toothbrushes or soap. Rooms facing the inner courtyard are very quiet. The elevator access is also very convenient. I would like to thank the staff team and the head of management who are very attentive and professional. I recommend this hotel for a discovery stay.

GGuest UserNice hotel in a quiet street with clean and bright rooms, decent breakfast and friendly stuff. The only thing is that it's a bit far from MRT - approximately 10 minutes walk. Good value for money)

GGuest UserThis is a youth hostel, and we were traveling with our parents. Although there wasn't a kettle in the room, there's one on the first floor where you can get hot water for free. There's also a security gate on each floor, which makes it very safe – people who aren't staying here can't go up. There's no elevator, but the staff were really enthusiastic and helped us carry our luggage upstairs, which we really appreciated! The family room had an inner window, so ventilation wasn't great, but it was nice and quiet. The overall decor is very new and the style is simple. The common areas are quite well-equipped, with a kitchen, laundry room, dining area, tea tables and chairs, and computers. The front desk offers 24-hour service. There's a 400 deposit, which the staff returns after checking the room at checkout.

11WanderAwayI recently enjoyed another delightful stay at Yakthai Poshtel, marking my fourth visit to this charming establishment. I checked in at 1:30am and was warmly greeted by Wishai, the evening front desk staff member, who made the late check-in process smooth and hassle-free. The front daytime desk staff, Pan and the newly hired Beau, were exceptionally friendly and helpful during my check-out, leaving a positive lasting impression. Peiw, the housekeeper, ensured that everything was immaculately clean, maintaining the high standards I’ve come to expect here. The poshtel offers private rooms with shared toilets and showers, and the added comfort of being able to control your own air conditioning made my stay even more enjoyable. Yakthai Poshtel also features a small, cozy café downstairs where you can buy coffees and teas, and that serves a simple free breakfast for guests. I appreciated the convenience of having souvenirs available for purchase and the unique option to rent traditional Thai costumes for events or memorable photos. The poshtel's location is ideal, situated in a quiet area directly across from the stunning Wat Ratchabophit temple. Each stay reaffirms my decision to keep returning, as the friendly and helpful staff truly make Yakthai Poshtel feel like a home away from home.

MMeimeidagunyachenCleanliness: Very clean. The towels were all packed in disposable bags, so there was no need to worry about hygiene. The room was spotless and felt like home! Service: The guy who booked the room was very friendly and the hostess was cheerful and welcoming. We arrived after 11:00 PM and couldn't check in, so we left our luggage there and played around until 2:00 PM before returning to rest. Environment: Very cozy, clean, and beautiful. There's a dining table, kitchen, and a large bathroom. The only downside is the cement bathtub, which has a high wall and is difficult to get in and out of. Amenities: A dining table, desk lamp, sofa, coffee table, bath towels, disposable items, and tissues are all available. The kitchen bar also has snacks and coffee (we didn't try any, but they looked delicious). It was a real treat! 1. There's no elevator, but the staff will help with your luggage. Since the floor isn't high, this isn't a problem. 2. The kitchen drain leaks all over the floor. It dried up the next day. It seems to be an old problem, but due to our rushed schedule and our hasty check-out, we forgot to inform the front desk. We apologize for not informing you sooner. Summary: Aside from the high threshold of the bathroom tub and a leaky kitchen sink (those visiting should be aware of any leaks and notify the hotel promptly), this cozy family suite is highly recommended for families traveling with large groups. It's a shame we only stayed in Bangkok for one day, but I'll definitely visit this hotel again if I'm in Bangkok again. Very satisfied!

JJohnlijangI recently stayed at Shin Victory Monument Hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is definitely one of the biggest advantages. It’s just a short walk from Victory Monument, making it very convenient to travel around Bangkok, especially if you plan to use the BTS or nearby buses. There are also plenty of street food stalls, small restaurants, and convenience stores in the area, so finding something to eat is never a problem. The room was simple but clean and comfortable enough for a short stay. It wasn’t very spacious, but it had everything I needed, including air conditioning, a comfortable bed, and a decent bathroom. Housekeeping did a good job of keeping the room tidy during my stay. The staff were polite and helpful, although not overly attentive. Check-in and check-out were smooth and didn’t take much time. If I had questions, they were willing to assist, even if communication in English wasn’t always perfect. One thing to note is that the hotel feels more budget-friendly than luxurious, so don’t expect high-end facilities. However, considering the price and location, I think it offers good value for money. Overall, Shin Victory Monument Hotel is a solid choice for travelers who want a convenient place to stay without spending too much. I would consider staying here again for a short trip.

GGlenn ChinOverall the location is great, very near to train station. The area is full of food choices and it’s convenient. Room is good but the facilities is a bit run down. Hence, there is a big rest area for us to have over packed food or a simple cooking. Toilet needs to be enhanced, too many stagnant water spots and it’s smelly. My bad experience is with the reception and most of them is very bad in communication and I felt a bit rude.

CchenhuachenSukum Huai Khwang Guesthouse offers a sense of stability that many travelers appreciate, especially in a fast-paced city like Bangkok. The guesthouse creates an environment where guests can maintain daily routines with ease, whether that involves work, exercise, or simple relaxation. This feeling of normalcy contributes to a more enjoyable and less stressful stay. One notable advantage is the guesthouse’s adaptability to different travel styles. It suits independent travelers who prefer exploring on their own, as well as visitors who enjoy spending time in the local area. The surrounding streets provide opportunities for casual walks, local dining, and everyday shopping, allowing guests to experience Bangkok at a slower and more personal pace. The guesthouse also appeals to guests who value privacy. The atmosphere remains calm and orderly, encouraging restful nights and uninterrupted downtime. At the same time, staff remain approachable and responsive, offering help whenever needed without being intrusive. This balance creates a comfortable and respectful living environment. In terms of location, Sukum Huai Khwang Guesthouse continues to be a strong choice. The nearby MRT station connects guests efficiently to major districts, cultural sites, and business centers. This convenience allows visitors to maximize their time in the city without long or tiring commutes. In conclusion, Sukum Huai Khwang Guesthouse consistently meets the expectations of travelers seeking affordability, comfort, and a local atmosphere. GGuest UserOverall Experience: This hotel is a decent option, especially if you want to escape the city's hustle and bustle. The rooftop room I booked was incredibly spacious and cozy, perfect for a relaxing night even when it rained. The location is a bit tricky, with no parking and a narrow alleyway leading to the entrance, but it's worth it for the peace and quiet. The highlight was definitely the rooftop room. It felt so open and comfortable. However, the open-air bathroom might not be for everyone, especially if you're shy. For me, it was completely fine. Just be aware there’s no elevator, and if you’re on the 6th floor like I was, be ready for a bit of a climb! Bringing snacks and drinks up with you is a good idea to avoid going up and down too often. The view from the top floor room was absolutely amazing. It was a great reward after the climb. haha! P.s..I’d recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a unique and quiet experience and doesn't mind a bit of a workout to get to their room. The view and the rooftop room are fantastic. :)
