This is the most cost-effective hotel on this trip: the front desk staff is warm and thoughtful, making guests feel at home; the rooms are large and fully equipped; there are many outdoor hot spring pools, open from 10 to 23 hours; the parking lot is large, which is good for self-drivers. In short: the best choice after visiting Fanjing Mountain!
The hotel is located in a newly built hot spring town. Besides the inconvenient transportation, the environment and air quality are excellent. The room and hot springs exceeded my expectations. We booked a two-day stay, and the hotel upgraded us to a suite with a private hot spring tub, two bathrooms, two balconies, and a large living room, which was incredibly comfortable. After one hot spring dip, which was so relaxing, we immediately extended our stay for another day in the same room. We ended up staying for three days, truly a vacation vibe. I'll definitely come back if I have the chance.
I didn't have high expectations for the hotel in the county town. The night view was so-so. The ancient hot spring was a long walk from the third basement level, and it was a bit cold in winter. There were no staff to give directions, and the road signs were unclear. I asked one staff member, but their attitude was terrible. The hot spring is worth soaking in; you can buy a ticket to go. Staying at this hotel isn't essential.
The hotel was a bit old. The carpet in the corridor looked very worn, and the rooms were also old. The shower door in the bathroom didn't close properly, and after showering, the entire bathroom was flooded. There was still a lot of water under the sink until check-out, so you had to wade through it to wash up. I really didn't want to argue with the staff… The room had a slight odor; those sensitive to smells should be cautious. I don't know if the shower water was from the hot spring; it was strange that it wasn't hot at all, just lukewarm. It was a bit cold to shower in winter; I was shivering when I showered in the morning… Later, I stayed at a guesthouse, and the hygiene was at least much better.
