"The hotel's location is pretty good, and I used points to upgrade my room, which was a nice bonus. However, I have to mention two things that weren't so great. First, the hot water kept fluctuating between scalding hot and freezing cold, making showering an ordeal of endless temperature changes – I couldn't just stand under the water comfortably. Second, when customer service reached out via WeChat, they asked me to include their nickname in my reply. It would be really helpful if they introduced themselves when we first meet, because otherwise, I have no idea which staff member I'm talking to from our previous interactions."

"The hotel's location is super convenient, right across from Tongren Station. You can see it as soon as you exit, so it's really easy to find. I stayed here for two nights during my trip and loved how clean and tidy the room was. The staff were also very kind and enthusiastic. I'll definitely choose this hotel again if I get the chance to visit Tongren in the future. Highly recommend it to everyone!"

"Due to a change in our itinerary, we rebooked at the Tongren State Guesthouse. The overall experience far exceeded our expectations. Both the amenities and the quality of service truly live up to its title of ”Tongren's #1 Luxury Hotel.” 1. Excellent Location The hotel is located within the National Customs Park at No. 5 Wuling Avenue, Bijiang District, just 1.3 kilometers from Tongren Railway Station, offering convenient transportation. The surroundings are beautiful, offering both the stunning scenery of the Jinjiang River and the cultural atmosphere of the National Customs Park, making for a pleasant evening stroll. 2. Comfortable Room Experience We booked a Deluxe River View Room, and the front desk representative, Xiao Peng, upgraded us to an Executive River View Room. This spacious 90-square-meter room features floor-to-ceiling windows facing the Jinjiang River, offering unobstructed views of both the mountains and the river. The room is fully equipped with a bathtub, refrigerator, and smart curtains. The mattress has the perfect firmness for an excellent sleep. The hotel also offers exceptional attention to detail, including welcome fruit. 3. Attentive Service The front desk service was particularly commendable. Check-in was very efficient. Xiao Peng, the staff member, was not only warm and attentive, but also proactively upgraded our room, gave us welcome fruit, and provided free luggage storage. 4. Extensive Dining Options The hotel offers two restaurants: Fu Restaurant (buffet) and Bijingxuan (a la carte Chinese cuisine). The breakfast menu is extensive, with both Western bread and coffee and local rice noodles, all very delicious. 5. Complete Amenities - Indoor heated swimming pool: Clean, uncrowded, and perfect for relaxing. 6. Tips The hotel is near the railway station, and the occasional train whistle can be heard, which may be disturbing for light sleepers, but overall the impact is minimal. There are no supermarkets or restaurants nearby, so takeout is the only option."

"Honest review about my two-day stay. I'm hoping to see some improvements. Customer Service: Poor. Unresponsive to requests, lacking in providing assistance. Not courteous, which is expected of a hotel staff. Staff: Unaccommodating, often responding with “No” rather than seeking solutions or alternatives. Hotel Room: Good. The automatic toilet feature was a highlight. Cleanliness: Good, but there is potential for improvement. Amenities: Good. Location: Good. Value for Money: Acceptable for a 4-5 star hotel, but the value is diminished by the subpar service. Improvements in customer service and satisfaction are necessary to justify the cost. Overall Experience: Unsatisfactory, especially compared to my other stays at Wyndham hotels. This particular experience did not meet the standards expected from the Wyndham brand, leading to disappointment."

"The hotel environment is pretty good, though the soundproofing isn't ideal. However, once you're asleep, it's not a big deal. It's located right at the entrance of the pedestrian street within the ancient city, so there's a good amount of foot traffic. The hotel breakfast tastes good, and the auntie who makes it is very warm and friendly!"

"Facilities: After returning from Fanjing Mountain, I checked in just as the water supply was out. I wanted to shower quickly, but the hot water was still running. 😥😰 Cleanliness: Clean and tidy, very nice. Area: 1.8km from the high-speed rail station by taxi, with plenty of food options downstairs. Service: Very helpful in problem-solving."

"The hotel is in a great location, only 5 minutes away from the train station. The environment is comfortable, the price/performance ratio is very high, it is quiet, the rooms are clean and tidy, and there are humidifiers, sterilizers, washing machines, projectors and other facilities. The auntie is very enthusiastic. She turned on the air conditioner for us and gave us a bottle of water. The service attitude is really good, and it feels like home. This hotel is worth living in. If I come next time, I will choose this hotel again."

"As a passionate traveler, I always look for hotels that offer great value and convenience. I spotted this one on Ctrip, loved its style, and booked it without hesitation. It's super close to Tongren High-Speed Railway Station, just a two-minute walk. Once inside my room, I was impressed by how quiet it was – no outside noise at all. The facilities are top-notch: there's a gym with huge floor-to-ceiling windows, so you can work out while enjoying panoramic views of the Tongren Station area. The laundry room with a dryer is a huge plus, and I loved the scent of the detergent; my clothes came out really clean and smelled subtly fragrant. The room itself was spotless and neatly arranged, with a sophisticated color scheme. The pops of orange really caught my eye – like oranges 🍊, which is a lovely touch, symbolizing good fortune. The surroundings are also great, and being on a high floor, the room gets plenty of natural light through its floor-to-ceiling windows. The winter sun streaming in made the room feel so warm and cozy. The front desk staff, especially the lovely lady, provided exceptional service. As soon as I walked into the lobby, she offered me a warm, delicious tea. Her sweet smile and voice instantly melted away the day's fatigue, and I felt completely relaxed. After checking in, she even helped me with my luggage to the elevator, wishing me a pleasant stay with such warmth. This level of service truly made me feel at home, like I was being treated by family and friends – a genuine sense of hospitality. She also kindly recommended nearby tourist attractions like Fanjing Mountain, Tongren Grand Canyon, Miao King City, Jiulong Cave, and Zhusha Ancient Town. I found out that local travel agencies offer package tours for these spots, including small-group private cars with pickup/drop-off, tickets, and round-trip transfers – excellent value for money and pure sightseeing, which is so convenient! I absolutely love this kind of travel, and I have to commend Tongren's tourism efforts. 👍🏻 The hotel even offers Hanfu experiences. Since it's close to Zhongnanmen Ancient City, I changed into a Hanfu at the hotel and took some beautiful photos there. The breakfast was also delicious. It was a fantastic stay and trip. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to friends traveling to Tongren. Highly recommended, the style is superb! Heartfelt thanks to the hotel for their service. I'll be back next time! ❤️"

"The environment is very good and the hygiene is very clean. The private bath has a large space and the experience is very good. There are very few people in the hot spring, and you can basically have the pool to yourself. Free bath towels and warm water are provided. The hot spring is equipped with complete facilities such as showers and changing rooms. Overall it is highly recommended."

"The rooms are clean, simple, and bright. Whether you have a river view or a city view, the lighting is excellent. I stayed in a city view room. On nice days, sitting by the floor-to-ceiling windows with a cup of tea and a book is a great way to relax. The hotel is in a great location, nestled in Huaguo Mountain. Not only does it have a gym inside, but there's also fitness equipment in the park right outside, so you never have to worry about finding a place to exercise in the morning! The breakfast was delicious."
