TTanja.dblThis hotel exceeded our expectations by far. The attention to detail and the warm service made it feel extremely special and comfortable. The garden and the rooms are super beautiful with so much attention to detail. It felt like a sacred, holy place with its temple, library and tea room as well as the garden. The staff was very friendly and helped us out a lot with planning our trip. The drive us to the Fanjing Mountain and also organized a driver to pick us up in Tongren when we came and a driver to drive us to Fenghuang the day we left. Also they had amazing foods and although we are vegetarians and don’t eat meat they had plenty of options. We were lucky to meet a master (teacher) of Buddhism and his student (a tea master who was learning about Buddhism from him). They also made this trip very special since we got invited to traditional tea ceremonies and were able to listen to the singing of prayers and traditional Chinese instruments they played for us. This hotel is the perfect place for these sort of guests and it’s perfect if you want a relaxing meditative Chinese experience. The surrounding countryside is very beautiful as well and perfect for going on a walk to explore a little. We hope we will be able to come again in the future.

GGuest UserIt was such a surprise find at Fanjingshan. The rooms are big with modern facilities including toilet seat sensor. The inn also has a lift for those with big luggages and don’t want to climb the stairs with them, a feature that is not in all the inns around.
We have such a comfortable stay, even if it was just for a night. We took a didi to the inn in the evening and in the morning, the owner drove us to the gate of Fanjingshan to purchase the tickets. He also offered to pick us up when we are done for the day at fjs. He also helped us to engage a driver who drove us to fenghuang ancient town for a fair price based on our cab fare from Tongren to fjs. I will definitely recommend this inn which is also new, opened in March 2023.

SSuannuomiThe hotel is very close to the train station, and it only takes ten minutes to walk from the room to the train station. The lady boss is very considerate and will get up early to cook eggs for the guests. When checking out in the morning to catch the train, the boss enthusiastically reminded me not to forget to take the eggs, which was very touching. There are coffee and other drinks and small snacks and desserts available at the front desk. The room also provides a washing machine, a disinfection cabinet and a smart toilet. The price-performance ratio of this hotel is quite high. The only drawback is that the window sound insulation is a bit poor. You can hear the sound of the train, and wearing earplugs does not affect your sleep. The hotel has free parking, and it is very convenient to park and return the car when renting a car for a self-driving tour.

MM271025****This guesthouse is about 500 meters from the scenic area entrance. It's clean and hygienic, and the owner is lovely; she even helped carry our luggage. It's quiet at night, perfect for light sleepers. Plus, there are plenty of dining options nearby. For breakfast, there's a Miao-style beef and lamb noodle shop about 100 meters to the right, heading towards the scenic entrance. It's super clean, the flavor is light, and their large steamed buns are also delicious. Highly recommend staying here.

The owner's family was incredibly warm and attentive; they picked us up and dropped us off at the entrance punctually. They were also very helpful and responsive with our travel inquiries, even recommending a reliable and skilled ride-sharing service for our round trip to Tongren Station. The B&B breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the farmhouse restaurant they recommended served excellent food. The children were super cute! It was a very pleasant trip, and I highly recommend staying here. We also caught the lively bonfire party in the square on the second day of Chinese New Year, which had a fantastic atmosphere.

The service is considerate and thoughtful: I did not book the ticket to Fanjing Mountain for personal reasons. The little brother at the front desk was enthusiastic to book for free. Later, I learned that this is a homestay invested and operated by the scenic spot. It seems that the background is very solid, you know!
Our family stayed here for two nights and felt that it was excellent value for money. It is highly recommended that friends who come to Fanjing Mountain to stay in Muxi Mountain Residence. This is a real evaluation from retailers, not an advertisement! In addition, the overall decoration of the mountain house feels very atmospheric, there are gourmet restaurants nearby, even the free breakfast provided is simple, homely and delicious, it is made by the aunt. In short, I hope that the mountain residence will be better and better, and it is recommended to add music barbecue in the future. In the quiet, we will give us lively options.

GGuest UserThis is an ideal hotel for taking children on summer vacation. A highly recommended summer resort hotel. The hotel is a garden hotel with excellent amenities and a good breakfast. The hotel is also located next to a crystal-clear river, perfect for swimming and fishing. The hotel is about a 10-minute drive from Fanjing Mountain, offering stunning scenery. If you're driving, this is highly recommended and a great value. I'll be back next year. The service was also excellent. My only suggestion is that the toiletries could be better; those with more sophisticated needs should bring their own.

SSteven DowsonWe arrived via two buses and a taxi, next time we'll drive and there is lots of parking available at the front of the hotel. Receptionists and staff all very friendly and efficient. Room was very clean, great shower, squat toilet. Hotel is a short walk from West Gate, you can follow the road or cut through the trees. We ate at the hotel first evening upon arrival and the food was good home cooking, we also had the noodle breakfast which was basic but good. We were lucky to have great weather on Fanjingshan but it's a stiff hike from West Gate and our legs were sore the next day. After our day on the mountain we stopped at a restaurant close to the gate, and returned here on our second night because the food was fresh, tasty, good value, and they have an excellent view of the mountain opposite (see photos). On our second day we took a taxi down the mountain to the nearest town (taxis use the charging points opposite the hotel) but we had trouble getting back and were fortunate to hitch a lift. The West Gate is preferable to East Gate but it's better to have a car.

227huashengIf your goal is to visit Fanjing Mountain, this hotel is an excellent choice. Its location is superb, just about 100 meters outside the East Gate of the Fanjing Mountain scenic area, right on the main road leading there. It's very visible and easy to find. While the hotel facilities aren't brand new, they are practical and convenient to use. Breakfast is served on the ground floor, to the right, and the food was quite tasty. To the left outside the hotel, you'll find plenty of shops and amenities, including supermarkets, fruit stores, and restaurants. This location is very convenient if you plan an early morning hike up the mountain. By the way, Fanjing Mountain itself is amazing, truly ethereal and definitely worth visiting.
