Lancang Hotels with Wifi

"The first established hotel as you enter the mountains, with plenty of parking spaces right across the street, which is very convenient. It's a bit far from the attractions, so you'll need a car. They offer butler-style service; they'll contact you the day before to provide the address, travel tips, and other information. The hotel has a good variety of activities planned, including roasted milk tea, stir-fried melon seeds, and bonfires in the evening. The hotel's dinner was just okay, with plenty of room for improvement. Breakfast on the rooftop had a great ambiance and taste. The rooms aren't luxurious but are perfectly adequate. The air conditioning was a bit old and didn't heat very well. I didn't have time to experience the travel photography session. It was really expensive during Chinese New Year, haha."

"I originally planned to get full marks, but a chicken crowed at four o'clock in the morning until seven o'clock. I really didn't sleep well. The hotel environment is very good, the front desk staff is very enthusiastic and has a good attitude. The breakfast is also very rich. Except for the chicken, everything else is full marks."

"All the reviews are true, but it’s not the wooden building that causes it.  Yes, it is very loud and you hear everyone. We’ve stayed in other fully wooden places, it’s worse here. Maybe not the wood but the guests are the problem. Loud Chinese people, walking the stairs with the heaviest pace you can imagine. Maybe help the other guests by hanging some warnings on the stairs: please be mindful for the other guests when walking to your room.  Also loud Chinese tourist on the square below. Not only while eating they scream all over the place, also with the tea ceremony nobody asks them to please stop talking after 23:00/24:00. We were up till 02:00AM because of tea drinking Chinese people at the fire. We stayed in the suite, which is located above the fire pit. Maybe the other rooms are less noisy. At 7AM each morning, somebody ran down the stairs. We think it’s the staff. It wakes you up through your earplugs.  The staff is OK. They are very shy, not rude. They could be more pro active though as we didn’t feel like they wanted to do something.. which is different to rude but also not very friendly.  The other villages around are way bigger and less cozy than Wengji. Also, with this guesthouse being just next to the town, it was perfect to escape the tourists most of the time. We didn’t find other accommodations in Wengji with the same aesthetics as Shishi guesthouse so we can’t recommend other places better than this. Maybe if the guesthouse would invest in trying to keep the noise down under the various guests, with text signs or with clearer house rules (fire pit), the noise problem wouldn’t be as bad.  Maybe if they tried to enthusiast their staff more and keep them from watching Chinese drama shows on their phones all day, they would be a bit more welcoming.  We’ve met a lot of amazing people in Wengji, it’s definitely not the locals that have this behaviour.  Lastly, the suite has a cubicle bathroom in the room, they really don’t clean this well. It smells very bad and just feels dirty all over.  For comfort this place is too expensive, for the location and aesthetics you won’t find better options nearby."

"Awesome Lancang B&B experience! The overall is warm log decoration, the design of the big tea table is too suitable for the heart, and a pot of tea is made when you return from the trip, and you can instantly relieve your fatigue. The room is clean and comfortable, the facilities are complete, and the details can feel the boss's intentions. The location is excellent, it is very convenient to go shopping and eat around, the boss will patiently answer questions, recommend local niche punch points and specialties, cost-effective. Come to Lancang for tourism, choose this one without stepping on thunder!"

"A wonderful hotel with wonderful people! It's very new and the rooms are beautiful. They always offer tea, give recommendations on where to go and what to see, and can even drive you to and pick you up from anywhere. You can also rent a scooter. Every evening they host barbecues, sing songs, and chat. In terms of rooms and service, there are absolutely no complaints; everything is perfect! They can also pick you up from and drop you off at Xishuangbanna (for a reasonable price). While the owner's niece speaks a little English, everyone is excellent at using translation apps, so there are no communication issues. The view from the hotel is stunning! The only thing I'd wish for is a more diverse breakfast."

"The hotel is strategically located, just a few minutes' walk from Lancang Street. It is very convenient to go to the shopping mall every Sunday. There is a large tea room in the lobby, where you can sit down and drink a cup of Jingmai ancient tree tea at any time. It has its own large parking lot. The room has first-class hardware facilities, a large floating table, and comfortable bedding; the front desk is full of beautiful waiters in national costumes, especially the beautiful store manager who is enthusiastic, meticulous, and thoughtful! In short, the hotel is very cost-effective and can be the first choice for staying in Lancang!"

"As a business traveler who frequently goes on trips, this guesthouse offered me a whole new work and relaxation experience. The fast and stable Wi-Fi allowed me to handle urgent business matters at any time, while the peaceful environment and beautiful scenery greatly inspired my creativity. During breaks between meetings, standing on the terrace and gazing at the mountains in the distance made my thoughts incredibly clear. This place is far more relaxing and inspiring than a typical business hotel. It's particularly suitable for teams needing a creative breakthrough or for high-end business hospitality."

"The homestay I chose here temporarily, I heard that it only opened in February this year, the room was clean and tidy, the service was intimate, the landlord sister was a very good person and very enthusiastic, it was a very satisfying stay experience."

"A guesthouse with a story always evokes a sense of longing. Traveling solo, I always wanted to hear the stories of the locals, so for the last night of my trip, I booked this guesthouse on the way down the mountain. The guesthouse was located in the first village on the way up the mountain, on the side closest to the mountain view. Just by drawing back the curtains, I could see the clouds and mist; the scenery was no less beautiful than on the mountain itself. The owners, a husband and wife, were very welcoming. We chatted over tea, and I heard the story of the tree and three generations of their family. I felt the owners' simplicity and sincerity—a truly wonderful experience."

"The location is great, right in the center of the village. You can enjoy the sea of clouds and sunset from the second-floor tea room without even leaving. It's very relaxing, and the staff's attitude is quite good. However, there are a few drawbacks: 1. Although you can enjoy free tea in the second-floor tea room, it's a bit disappointing that there are no complimentary tea bags in the room. Even hotels not located in tea-producing regions usually provide tea bags in every room. 2. If the shower and toilet aren't separated, they should at least provide a pair of plastic slippers. Otherwise, wearing disposable slippers after a shower is very slippery and easy to trip. Not wearing any shoes isn't hygienic, especially since it's about 2 meters from the shower to the door."
