"Tengchong Guanfang Hotel | A Real Experience During the Rainy Season I stayed at the Guanfang Hotel in Tengchong this time, and it generally exceeded my expectations. Here are a few genuine feelings I'd like to share 👇 🏠 **Service** The response time was incredibly fast. Whatever issue I called the front desk about, they resolved it. The shuttle service within the resort was on-call, and I usually got picked up within 1-2 minutes. When using the indoor hot springs, staff would pre-place towels on nearby loungers, saving me the hassle of fetching them myself. Bellboys also helped deliver luggage to the room, making the whole process very convenient. Delivery drivers aren't allowed into the hotel grounds; once an order arrives at the lobby, you just call the front desk, and staff will bring it directly to your room. 🛏 **Room** I booked a garden-view king room. The bed was super large (estimated 2.2 meters), perfectly fine for a family of three. Every afternoon, a fruit plate was delivered to the room. We also had the option of bedtime milk in the evenings (we didn't ask for it, so it wasn't delivered). It's the rainy season in Tengchong, so the room was a bit humid, but there was an electric blanket on the bed. Turning it on for a while before sleeping made it wonderfully warm and comfortable. 🍳 **Breakfast** The variety was exceptionally rich, with both Chinese and Western options, and the quality was good. What I particularly loved were the local specialties available for breakfast: rice noodles, Ersi (a local noodle-like dish), roasted Erkuai (rice cakes), Poshu Bao (flaky steamed buns), and various special dipping sauces. Even without leaving the hotel, you could experience most of the local flavors. Remember that the restaurant stops serving at 10:10 AM, so don't oversleep. Before 7:30 AM, the restaurant isn't crowded, and you can find a spot on the garden balcony with a decent view."

The design blends Eastern Zen aesthetics with modern simplicity, creating a tranquil and stylish atmosphere that makes you instantly forget the hustle and bustle of city life. The front desk staff provided delightful service with warm smiles, making us feel right at home. We received a welcome fruit platter upon check-in, and the service throughout our stay was attentive and polite without being intrusive. The housekeeping staff meticulously cleaned our room every day. Any requests made to the front desk were promptly addressed. As for the hot spring experience, our room was conveniently located next to an outdoor hot spring pool. The water quality is genuine hot spring water! After a soak, our skin felt incredibly smooth, and we experienced a significant sense of relaxation. The public hot spring area offers various functional pools, all clean with well-managed crowd control, ensuring good privacy. This was definitely the most worthwhile part of our trip – enjoying a warm spring bath under the starry sky. The breakfast quality was decent, served semi-buffet style, with a rich selection of both Chinese and Western options, as well as local specialties like Yunnan rice noodles, providing a great start to the day. The room itself was spacious and elegantly designed. The bedding was super soft and comfortable, ensuring a dreamless night's sleep until morning. Most importantly, the soundproofing was excellent, guaranteeing absolute quiet."

"The newly opened Wyndham is fantastic, with a fresh decor and great facilities. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise – really delicious and reasonably priced. I'd definitely recommend trying it if you're staying here. The public hot springs have five pools open, each with different benefits and temperatures, all carbonated. Worth a try! The gym is also spacious, with brand new, professional-grade equipment. The only minor drawback is that the front desk staff's training seems inconsistent. First, I called to ask about turndown service, and one front desk agent flat-out said they don't offer it. A little while later, a different agent called me back to say they do. 😓 It feels like their internal training isn't quite up to par, or at least some of the front desk staff aren't professional enough. When I checked in, they mentioned a spa center. I asked for a spa menu, and the staff member thought I wanted the Chinese restaurant menu. 😅 Later, they told me the 'spa center' doesn't actually offer any spa treatments, just the hot springs and pool."

"Dorland is my top choice when traveling to Tengchong! The hotel is located in the main city's commercial district, right next to Yuquan Garden. It's super convenient for dining, shopping, and catching a taxi to Heshun or Rehai. The location is absolutely fantastic. The room amenities are thoughtful; it comes with a mini-fridge for drinks and fruits, and the bathroom has a wet/dry separation design, keeping it dry and free of standing water. The mattress is just right – soft yet supportive – and incredibly comfortable after a long day, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The hygiene is excellent, and the value for money is unbeatable. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Tengchong!"

"Facilities: Excellent. The hardware is well-equipped and new. There's even a very useful washing machine in the room, making it perfect for long stays. Cleanliness: Excellent. Environment: It's located in a large complex full of 4S car dealerships. There are plenty of parking spaces, and because it's set back from the street, it's surprisingly quiet at night, which is great for rest. If you turn right when you leave, you'll find the long-distance bus station and a large supermarket. There's a dedicated bus line to the volcano, which you can catch at the bus stop on the northeast side of the Xu Xiake roundabout. Everything is very convenient. Service: Excellent. They answer all your questions and helped us book hot spring tickets for less than what 'this' and 'that' platform offered. The front desk staff are well-trained; they stand up to greet guests from a distance as soon as they see them arrive. They even provide four large bottles of mineral water in the room daily, which is a very thoughtful and generous touch."

"New hotel, no taste of decoration. The room is not big, but the facilities are very good. There is a library, insect plant showroom, meditation room and horse gang exhibition on the first floor, which is suitable for passing time and taking pictures. The pool and hot spring area are not big, and children can play with the water. The twin room is very quiet, but the big bed room is facing the street and you have to close the window to sleep. The best thing is the five-star breakfast, the top floor restaurant has a first-class view, overlooking some urban areas in Tengchong. 011 Xiao Zhou is very enthusiastic, has introduced the hotel characteristics in the lobby many times, and has questions and answers."

"This hotel was the best one I stayed at during my 10-day trip to Yunnan. From the moment I arrived, I felt truly at home. When I checked in at the front desk, the staff immediately offered me hot flower tea. They thoughtfully informed me about the rooftop hot spring's opening hours and enthusiastically recommended local delicacies. They even brought the afternoon tea, which we had missed, to our room, really showcasing the excellent service in Tengchong. After checking in, we went to the restaurant recommended by the front desk and then enjoyed the rooftop hot spring. The hot spring water was incredibly comfortable – my body doesn't lie! That night, I slept soundly and deeply, and my skin felt so smooth and improved. In the evening, the front desk sent up two bowls of tremella soup. Another heartwarming gesture! On the day of checkout, the front desk staff kindly asked if we had breakfast and even gave us a souvenir when we left. If my itinerary hadn't been pre-arranged, I would have definitely stayed an extra day in Tengchong just for this hotel."
