"Stayed at the Atour Hotel Xuchang Angel City two days ago, specifically for Pang Donglai (a department store/supermarket). This hotel has definitely won me over: the room facilities are relatively new and overall excellent. The air conditioning and bathroom are fantastic, the room is simple yet elegant, and the bedding is clean. The front desk and housekeeping staff are all very kind and thoughtful. The elevator goes directly down to B1, providing access to Pang Donglai Supermarket (assuming no crowd control), and you can even take the shopping cart all the way up to your floor, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel lobby is beautiful, grand, and elegant, offering great comfort. When checking out, we even received bottled water for our journey, which was a lovely touch. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻"

"This hotel is decent. As someone who travels frequently, I find it quite good and clean. The only minor issue is that the air conditioner can be a bit noisy. Other than that, everything is great, and it's close to the high-speed rail station. I don't know what price you'll get, but I booked it for cheap, and it was definitely excellent value for money."

"Absolutely thrilled with my stay, five stars for sure! The hotel's location is fantastic; it's right near Pang Dong Lai, which saved a lot of travel time. The service was another huge plus, from the front desk to housekeeping, everyone was warm and attentive. They proactively helped with my luggage at check-in and patiently recommended local food and sightseeing routes. "The hotel's location is a huge plus – right across from Angel City, making shopping, dining, and buying things incredibly convenient. The front desk service was also great; check-in was quick, and the staff were enthusiastic and polite. They even proactively informed us about important check-in details, which felt very thorough. Check-out was smooth as well, no delays. The room itself was better than expected; it was very clean, and the amenities were quite complete. What pleasantly surprised me was that the overall facilities were much better than many hotels in the same price range. It didn't feel like I was settling; instead, it was quite comfortable and hassle-free. Overall, with its convenient location, comfortable service, and good room experience, it offers really great value for money. "I came to Xuchang specifically to visit Pang Donglai (a department store), and I was pleasantly surprised to find such a great hotel in a third-tier city. The hotel has a garden-like setting, and every detail is impressive. When checking in, the front desk lets you choose from four room fragrances. The bathrobes were surprisingly good quality, and the toiletries were from Herborist. The family rooms are thoughtfully equipped for families with children, with two large and two small non-slip slippers in the bathroom. They even provide laundry detergent and a foldable drying rack with a dust cover on the balcony. The pool water was clean, and staff were constantly wiping down the changing room benches. Slippers were stored in a sterilizing cabinet, and the showers were spacious, making it easy to bathe children. Both the breakfast and the hotel's Chinese restaurant were excellent. Breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, including many local Henan specialties; the lamb soup was delicious, and the *hulatang* (spicy soup) had a real kick. In the Chinese restaurant's private rooms, the servers even offered auspicious greetings when pouring wine, adding a nice emotional touch to the experience."

"Passing through Xuchang on my way to Yunnan, I chose this hotel. Parking was convenient with options both above and below ground (underground parking has a height limit of 2.2 meters). The surrounding area is beautiful, though restaurants are a bit of a walk in the evening. The room was spotless, the bedding was soft, and the soundproofing was excellent. The front desk lady was enthusiastic and helped with directions. Overall, it was a comfortable and value-for-money stay. I'll definitely choose this place again next time."

I had a very pleasant stay at H Hotel (Xuchang Wuyi Road Pangdonglai Branch) and would gladly choose this hotel again. The location is excellent — right in the city center, close to Pangdonglai, shops, restaurants, and public transportation, yet the area itself is quiet and comfortable for rest. Check-in was smooth and efficient. The front desk staff were polite, professional, and always willing to help. Even with limited English, communication was friendly and effective, which made the stay much easier. The room was clean, spacious, and well-designed with a modern style. The bed was very comfortable, the linens were fresh, and the room was well soundproofed, allowing for a good night’s sleep. Housekeeping did a great job maintaining cleanliness throughout the stay. The bathroom was spotless, with good water pressure and complete amenities. Breakfast exceeded expectations — a good variety of fresh and tasty dishes, suitable for both Chinese and international guests. Wi-Fi was fast and stable, which was important for work and daily use. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money, high service standards, and a comfortable environment. I highly recommend H Hotel (Xuchang Wuyi Road Pangdonglai Branch) for both business and leisure travelers visiting Xuchang.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough! I am currently visiting and do not speak a word of Chinese, which can usually make things stressful—but the team here made everything seamless. We had to communicate entirely through a translator app, and the staff couldn't have been more patient or kind. I ran into a bit of a crisis where I needed same-day dry cleaning, and the reception team jumped into action immediately. They handled the situation with such grace and efficiency, ensuring my clothes were ready right when I needed them. Why this hotel stands out: • The Reception Team: All the girls at the front desk are absolute gems. They are professional, lovely, and never made me feel like my language barrier was a burden. • True Hospitality: I felt welcomed from the second I arrived. Even the security guard at the entrance was incredibly friendly and helpful! • Top-Notch Service: They go above and beyond to assist with any request, no matter how complex the ”lost in translation” moment might be. If you’re a solo traveler or someone who doesn't speak the local language, stay here. You will be in great hands. Thank you to the whole team for making me feel so well-assisted!

Highly recommended to stay here. Price is very reasonable and the room was clean and comfortable. Definitely my saved list of hotel for Xuchang. Only downside is you will need to take a taxi to most of the attractions. Taxi fare around 10-15RMB per trip

I was expecting for a reception employees to know a little bit of English. When arrived I was surprised that I have to find a way to translate everything to Chinese. Then next day this was corrected, and I found that they put an employee that knows a little bit of English to the reception. Also, for that type and size of hotel, it would be great that they have something for relaxation and training - either gym, or SPA, or pool, etc. Everything else was great and I could see that they were giving their best to make my stay pleasant.

I must give 5 points of praise, if possible I would give 5+! ! ! The service is attentive and considerate to the point that I feel that Seven Star Hotel may not do better than him. From the welcome at the front desk to the parking lot, everything is in place, very friendly, and the hardware configuration is also very comprehensive. Breakfast was not included when booking, but the front desk took the initiative to give it to me and said that breakfast was 29 yuan per person. I didn't expect much at first, but unexpectedly the breakfast was very rich! I really stayed at a treasure hotel. I couldn’t help but ask the lady at the front desk if the hotel had anything to do with Fat Donglai. Of course I got a negative answer🤣The reason why I asked this was really because of their service It can be called the ”Fat Dong Lai” in the hotel industry, haha.
